- So, I was at the Apple Store bright and early. I got myself a Rose Gold iPhone 6s and I LOVE the color. Here are some initial thoughts. Hold tight for the full review!

Peoples, OIS is used only for photos on the iPhone 6 Plus. Apple did not use OIS in video. Instead they used DIS algorithm "Cinematic Stabilization" the same on the iPhone 6. It is only now that Apple is integrating OIS into video on the 6s Plus. I had a very good Apple contact reveal this to me.

+Erica Griffin OIS is hardware that has to do with how the camera is mounted in the phone. If it has it, it has it all the time, whether your taking video, or photos.
skraggybones The thing Erica Griffin is talking about, is that Apple decided to rely on their digital stabilization for videos on the IPhone 6 plus, thus preventing OIS to stabilize when recording.
+Kwadwo Boadu OIS is like a suspension that holds the actual camera module inside the phone itself. It isn't something that apple could disable.

I agree, I have the LG G4 and I'm very happy with it, but I like iOS as well so I will likely get this as well, just not pink, I like the black one. Anyway Apple won't release it anytime soon in Sweden so I might get tired of waiting.

It's so disappointing to see Apple downgrading the battery for the sake of slimness. Apple's battery life is so awesome. If they just made the phones slightly thicker for a larger battery, they would have some impressive numbers. And the rumor is that the 7 will be even thinner.
they only made the battery slightly smaller, u out can still get about the same battery life in the 6s

3:37 quite nice its sick I have had the 6s for quite some time and still do today I am amazed how the apps respond so quickly.
The new iPhone 6S may look the same as the regular 6, but it is completely upgraded under the hood. For non-power user only doing basic day to day tasks you probably won't notice a lot of difference beyond the much improved front facing camera. On the other hand, power users who push the full capabilities of their phone for things like video editing in iMovie will more likely notice and benefit from the improved processing and memory specs of this phone. Also users who want best possible gaming performance and eye candy may also want to consider an upgrade.
I cant even imagine how that felt in person. just watching it, I felt immense awkwardness! hahahaha.
I grabbed the rose gold iPhone 6s Plus! I manned up and I actually love the color!

i went from a iphone 5s to a LG G3 which i highly regret buying, and iv ordered myself the 6s i space grey, and im going to send the LG off for recycle, i dont think i will be back on android again, much prefer ios, but thats my opinion after all

But if you do not want to get the phone from getting scratched and any dirt on it...recommend to get a clear case...Best Buy sells the Insignia Soft Shell Clear Case that protects the back, also the power button and the volume (+/-) button and also give your phone to access headphone jack, lightening port, and speaker. If your interested and live in US/Canada...must have case! I got it! :)

I'm getting the rose gold myself. it's very translucent, therefore, depending on the angle and the light, it can look deep pink while also looking copper with a splash of pink.

I was originally gonna stick with the gold color when I was planning to get the iPhone 6s Plus this time around, but after looking at the rose gold color in the store (which actually looks a lot better in person than in pictures), I decided to swallow my pride (since I'm a guy) and choose the rose gold. I'll be getting mine when some more stock comes in. Great unboxing video, Erica. :)
So... the best thing about this phone is its color. That pretty much sums up Apple's products.

Cirice It'll definitely be this month like every iPhone for the past several years has been. The Apple event is on the 7th September, so you can watch the announcement live on things like Safari with the Apple website, or on an Apple TV and stuff.

No, I agree with you. It really is more pinkish than anything else. Not truly what "rose gold" is meant to look like -- Rolex for example I believe has rose gold as a dial (face) option for men's watches and it's darker in hue.
Perhaps not something every guy would go for, but it's interesting/different and not feminine.

To me, the iPhone is like Beats headsets. They are good, but just not good enough to justify the cost. My parents LOVE their iPhones. To them, its super simple and easy to use. But for me, Android just offers so much more, esp when it comes to different designs and customization.
But, you can't deny the popularity of the phones. If the phones were truly not good, people would stop buying them.

Question-Early one Sunday morning, I was one of four customers in an Apple Store and got a round of applause from the Sales people when I bought a hard drive to use for backups. Their supervisor was giving a talk in the back of the store about encouraging customers to back up their computers and had overheard me tell a salesman about my need. I was half asleep from working all night and a little giddy. My memory of the event has a dreamlike quality to it.
How do you keep track of all your test equipment? Do you use software? You have talked about stuff that you purchase and, I think, stuff on loan. I would think that a little forgetfulness could be really expensive. Congrats on walking down the aisle.

you can setup the phone without a sim but if you try to do stuff after you finish the setup and still don't have the sim in then it won't work

I did not think such small differences in dimensions would make so huge a difference. The 6 and the 6 Plus were not exactly ergonomic phones to begin with but the 6s and the 6s Plus are even more uncomfortable to hold. I thought the camera was meh as well. Performance was really good, though.

I recently watched Austin's video, Apple's specs may not blow people's minds but the benchmarks sure blew mine. Especially when they were compared to Samsung, Motorola and Oneplus flagships. The battery should be bigger though

just got a note 5, 2 days ago. its a very nice phone and the screen is fantastic. im seeing online some in depth reviews of what a note can do and from a technology stand point the features are amazing. ive been using iphones since the beginning and got a bit bored. i like the customisation of the note 5. only had the phone a day bit disappointed by the battery life. i do think its pointless having to disable features on a phone to make the battery better. otherwise what was the point of buying the phone. im not a power user but i do use it for usual things. the battery only lasted me less than a day. opened it yesterday morning did disabling apps etc and the phone was on 45% by 1 oclock in afternoon. I didnt play any games or put any apps on it. Played 2 youtube videos and havent got any music on it. At 3 pm i didnt go on it for 3 hours. At around 9 it was on 15%. I have a samsung e7 phablet which has a bigger battery that has lasted me 2 days. Whats there to lie about you guys are funny. Its not to make the phone look bad i paid a lot of money for the phone i want it to be brilliant. 2015 and we are still having to deal with one day battery life that is atrocious. I dont understand why on a flagship phone that has great features. should you have to disable features to get more battery life. It defeats the point of it being a flagship phone and defeats the point of the phone full stop. You can actually see why many people have moved over to iphones and why samsung are posting massive losses on their smartphone side of things. Im not into this fanboy stuff i just want a product that works. Apple have produced phones that do just that. In past samsung fans would be on comment sections in their droves saying how brilliant their phones where. With the note 5 there is more deriding it. Yes the phone is customisable but now the iphones are faster more battery efficient the camera is upto par and the phones just work. Yes a lot of what ive just said a lot of samsung fans have mentioned on numerous sites. Anyone into tech has noticed this and ackowledge that with the note 5 its not what people expected of samsung in terms of delivering a top end device.

Erica I went back to Iphone 6s from Galaxy S6. Since full charge. Standby time 16H30". Usage 3H40". If only Samsung can deliver such battery life.
