    Another prime example of something so wonderful that is nearly all but forgotten today. There really was more to the classical Era than just Haydn....Mozart....and Beethoven. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!

    Very joyfull Mass. I know the pieces for Harp, but sacral works from Boieldieu are unknown for me. Great. Thanks for this excpedition on unknown very rare sacral works.

    Missa solemnis by a composer of almost the same age as Beethoven, but while Beethoven's is an innovative style, this composer seems to be a conservative style in a good way.
    If anything, it feels more like a religious song by Johann Baptist Wanhal or Antonio Salieri.
    In particular, Johann Baptist Wanhal's missa solemnis in E-flat major, Starbat Martell F Minor, has many similarities to this song in D major, and if you listen to it without knowing the composer, Wanhal or I believe it is Sarieri's work.

      Respeto su comentario, pero comparar la música de Boieldieu con la de Vanhal, es como decir que la de Verdi es similar a la de Wagner. Por supuesto, que son totalmente diferentes, incluso por la época en que fueron escritas. No hay que olvidar que Boieldieu es francés, en tanto que Vanhal es checo, cuya vida artística se desarrolló en Viena.

      Más bien creo que se refiere a que tiene un aire clásico, en el sentido vienés de la palabra.
