Cannondale CAAD 10 2015 rim brake all the way is the best alloy bike of all time hands down, plus mine is the racing edition so it’s DI2 compatible and mechanical compatible.

Buyers beware. I bought an alloy Cannondale Caad12 on buycycle and received the bike last Friday. The bike has a dent on the top tube even though the seller said the bike had no problems.. Now I am waiting for buycycle to refund my money and pick up the bike.... Buy elsewhere if possible... ^^^Like this comment to let buycycle know that I would like a quick refund^^^

Its a shame giant is no longer making the TCR SLR.. I own one from 2017 with 105 groupset 11 speed and its a beautiful bike to ride even more lightweight than some carbon bikes from that year.

Contrary to popular belief. Carbon does split, chip, etc.

Carbon costs an arm and leg. The bike market is turning away from these exorbitant carbon prices. For now, aluminum is the ticket with carbon forks with DuraAce at a fraction of the price for a full carbon frame.

The Canyon looks nothing like in their pictures. The welds are very well visible.

Sadly US bikes don’t have the smooth weld, but European ones do

“Alloy”? Don’t you mean aluminium? An alloy is just a compound of two or more metals (or technically a metal and a nonmetal).

I’m not sure why “alloy” is being used to mean an aluminum frame bike. But I hear this a lot. It used to be that a chrome-moly steel frame was an alloy frame.

Aluminum alloy. Magnesium and silicon are typically the alloys used.

Cannondales own website markets this as "The ultimate alloy race machine." So, I think they've got it correct.

"smart weld"... more like ugly weld. And calling these bikes light weight is laughable.

Agreed. Compare their welds with the canyon smooth finish.

@@damo5219I do like the Canyon but videos and images of the actual bike shows all the welds too. The website images are a bit of a false advertisement if you ask me..

@@hippo71124from what I've gathered, the bikes shipped to the us have the messy weld while the one shipped to the eu have the clean weld. Seems like something that should be mentioned...
