Those last few photos in the M C I plant were of an / MCI 12. It 02"was the first 102 inch wide made. Some 50 give/take produced before 102 was legal. They were eventually used on night schedules from Chicago to NYNY under special permits, for Ohio, PA, & Nj turnpikes. Non stop on the Tpks, changing drivers on tpks rest plazas outside of Cleveland and Harrisburg. Passengers had a rest stop when changing drivers in addition one at the Post House in Breezwood PA. Some had 8v71's and some had 12v71's with standard 4 sp transmissions. I worked for Greyhound from 1962 till 1975 out of Pittsburgh, PA. Over a 35 years of driving coaches, I worked for three other companys beside Greyhound. Drove an MCI 12 one time from Cleveland change to Harrisburg change. Started at Greyhound when they were running PD4103, 4104, & Scenicruisers . Through the course of my career ---- 4106's 410'7's MC5's, MC 7,8,9,102 c3's, "Fishbowls", PD4905's, Eagles, and retired with D series 45ft. THE SCENIC WAS THE BEST OF THEM ALL!!!!!!

I used to see single axle MCI 96-102A2 and MC9 back in the 90’s and the 2000’s
The MC5 is the smaller version of the MC7 Challenger and M my MC8 Crusader one
They shouldn’t have scrapped the GX2 because it would have been a museum piece and it’s extremely rare for a bus
Cool footage. May i ask, who is the narrator?
Robert Redden also known as Bob Redden.
