Always loved the old Greyhound buses… the stainless steel side panels with the Greyhound logo make them look super stylish even now! Travelling across the USA on ‘road trip’ holidays I’ve often come across former Greyhound bus stations that have been saved from demolition & repurposed, and it’s noticeable that their architecture is of a high standard, particularly the more ‘art deco’ ones. I can only imagine that Greyhound Buses really cared about the corporate image they were trying to project.

The prototype Senicruiser should have been preserved for history lessons even if GM Coach and Greyhound lines didn't like the first version

why dont they set up a parallel bus system that runs similar lines like greyhound but is very nice and accomodating and doesn't cater to criminals. Make people buy a yearly membership and charge higher fairs as well. Nobody degenerate is going to pay a yearly membership fee in addition to the regular fare if they could just ride greyhound without a membership fee. They could include amenities like special tour buses and refreshments and side trips and hotel packages. There is a huge market for people who dont want to go through the hassle of flying and want to stay on the ground and see everything. not accomodating them doesnt make them fly. they just stay home and dont go anywhere but would if there was a nicer bus line that was more tourist orientated.

I never knew there were Scenicruisers with automatic transmission. Does anyone know when and how many? My guess would be mid '70's.

At Greyhound no Scenics had auto trannies. That happened with private owner conversions.

Greyhound scams people guys Ok, here is their strategy. People try to book early so they can buy tickets with cheaper price right? But the greyhound tell the customer who booked early that their tickets are broken on the departure day without sending them any email notification about that and make them to pay the full price on the departure day or make them to choose a different day. People are busy so they purchase new tickets even though they are scammed by doing that. And if people ask for the refund for the full priced tickets then the greyhound would say they can only process the refund for the cheaper old tickets that they lied and said were "broken". That is how greyhound makes extra money by scamming people and they have no customer service number for complaining issues like that and only accepts feedback text form on their website and good luck with receiving any response from them. Beware guys do not let the scam you by doing that and spread the words.
