- Six Flags Over Texas celebrates 50 million riders on the classic Shock Wave roller coaster with a ceremony featuring a ribbon cutting, giveaways and special behind-the-scenes tour. We also show off the quick construction progress taking place for the return of Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters and the new Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce. Six Flags Over Texas is also celebrating Spring Break through March 17 with live entertainment, decor and specialty food items.

Is it just me or does it seem like the mid-course brakes on Shockwave were turned off? That train was flying through the second half!
Shockwave has a special place in my heart as it was the coaster that I conquered my fear of going upside down. I also got to experience graying out too that day! 😁
It has definitely been back and forth with the brake. Quite the intense ride when it flies through!

Was thankful to be able to ride it Saturday and Sunday . Was sad I couldn't get back to the thing for the opening riders thing on time. By the time I got back there for the 12:00 to 1 event, by 12:12 everything was being packed up😢.
That wasn't the 1st train of the day in the video though me and my twin boys was on the 1st one

3:03 ig sfot thinks cables will help the swaying track. (I’m fully aware roller coaster track is supposed to move but this is like putting a Bandaid on a broken arm)
Certainly you don't think those were installed by Six Flags Over Texas...they are part of the ride's engineering and design...
The box track provides added strength, minimizing the need for additional supports. If you notice, the supports "toothpick" down to a ball-and-joint connection at the footer. Though the ride is designed to sway, guy-wires were incorporated into the design to help stabilize the track segments themselves (which is why it doesn't sway any more than you see).

We unfortunately don't have any new details on that. The page can be found from a Google search, but no link to purchase is on there. :(

No way to know from the signage, unfortunately. With it being spring break, food lines were fairly long and I didn’t have the time to wait in them.

Guys don’t bother paying $20 for the Scream Break event. It’s pretty underwhelming and not worth it. Pretty much it’s just one haunted house. I didn’t find it scary. You can do everything it has to offer in about 10 minutes

It's supposed to have a story to it. they worked hard to make it like that, be grateful they at least did it this year
