- The offense and defense split 2-2 on a goal line tackling drill at LSU's fall practice Friday. The Tigers worked as a full squad and in full pads for the first time.
The "motivate your mind and your body will follow" was actually very motivational
@@cranjismcbasketball213 I am doing
i expected more from this video
Tyler Trentacosta ikr
Tyler Trentacosta exactly
it should sy he pushes him out of bounce. Guiding a player out of bounche isn't stopping them. False advertisement.
seheadhunter50 lmao how isn’t it. He was suppose to cross goal line which didn’t happen
Agreed
Coach: Voorhies!!!...
Coach: Fournette!!!!!
Players: ooOooOOoOOOooOOOoOoOOoOooOO
Bob Doe LMFAO
lol always like that on practice man
Lol
You fucking right!!
Did anyone get this randomly recommended to them now?
Me
Me
Me lol wtf And it sucks
Yes
Yep
Chavis seems like that one coach that just enjoys yelling at everyone for no reason
Joseph Hansonito “HEY, CAN YOU PLEASE PASS ME THE SALT SO I CAN ENJOY MY TATERS”
Yep, there's always one.
Damn that was every single coach!? My coach yelled for absolute no reason like all the time
John 3:16 “for God so loved the world he sacrificed his one and only son” put your faith in God!!John 3:16 “for God so loved the world he sacrificed his one and only son” put your faith in God!!John 3:16 “for God so loved the world he sacrificed his one and only son” put your faith in God!!
The title didn't lie, but this video is pretty anticlimactic.
it should sy he pushes him out of bounce. Guiding a player out of bounche isn't stopping them. False advertisement.
seheadhunter50 he pushed him out of bounce, therefore, he STOPPED him from scoring and won the drill.
I know I’m years late, but how did both of you make the same grammar mistake?Bounce? It’s ‘bounds’ lol.
LSUchiha 16 I was wondering the same thing lol
LSUchiha 16 damn degenerates
Did anyone else hear "I love you man" at the end?
Yep
A C yess
Yea
Theyre teammates theyre like brothers
The goal of the drill is for the running back to get through the cones. This small area is simulating the area the running back has when trying to run through the line on a goal line formation. If the DB can stop the forward movement and divert it to the side, you have to imagine there would be D linemen on each side trying to tackle the RB as well(along with their opposing O linemen) and that they would crash into and stop the movement all together, effectively stuffing up and stopping the running back. Goal line formations are all about stuffing up the line and trying to stop as much forward progress as possible. If the DB can divert the RB 5ft to the right or left, there's a good chance they're going to run into someone and someone else is going to get their hands on him too. ***EDIT*** Before someone starts talking down on me. I know the hole in the line is going to be A LOT smaller. This is just a drill to train both the RB to commit quickly to one side and try to power through, and for the DB to assess, react, and stop the forward progress. The extra space helps them both out for these purposes.
Great explanation. I was wondering the purpose of the drill. I see
"He who hesitates loses."
The drill was to stay inside the cones. Did Fournette stay inside the cones? No. That is why Voorhies won. Use ya ears
it should sy he pushes him out of bounce. Guiding a player out of bounche isn't stopping them. False advertisement.
@@seheadhunter50 If its 4th and goal and a defender "prevents you from scoring" by riding you out of bounds then that is the very definition of stopping someone. Use your head for something other than a place to wear a hat.
Jeremy Wade facts
That's what we call a classic bro move with Fournette and the DB
The QB Jennings had the most impressive TD run.
HE RAN YO ASS OVER!!!
“You let him score and his ran your ass over!” Man I playin 😢
It’s amazing how huge these dudes are
I loved these drills!
7 years ago and Lenny is still scoring touchdowns in the NFL and the Super Bowl.
Here after the Draft 🔥
LSU is the only team I see doing drills like this, which are very useful
This is the same footage from another video from a different angle
We used to do this drill in college it’s tough the Rb has the momentum but lb on impact has to drive his ft
LSU has some nice tackling drills
The only problem I have with these drills is that everyone else is just standing around. They should have more of these going on at the same time.... I guess I'm looking at it from a coaches POV
Totally agree with you, developmentally that would work great. Yet I believe it’s also a good thing to add spectator pressure to these drills since they’re in a D1 College. Everyone is always watching so they must practice this way as well and perform as such.
Tbh, during this time, LSU sucked at developing star players. Did we with three star recruits
But the drill isn’t an every day drill. I’m pretty sure this was the first few days of practice, probably spring ball. So gathering everyone. Setting the tone.
The rb wins this drill most of the time because they are moving forward while the defensive player is staying stationary and catching them. The only way for the defensive player to win is by guessing which side the rb is gonna go and just coming downhill on the whistle.
Les miles was a hell of a coach
Yep, definitely prefer him over Ed Orgeron
0:20 straight motivation
Are some of you not paying attention? Ball Carrier needs to be inside the lines to win. Doesn't matter if the defender gets pushed back, as long as that happens. If Adrian Peterson steps out of bounds before he hits the goal line, it doesn't matter if he blows up the guy in front of him, he's still out of bounds.
+ghostboi199 But that is out of bounds and technically not stopped.
ghostboi199 I was expecting fournette to get knock out but instead he ran over this lb
That one coach with the deep ass voice 💀
I know 35 was scared when Leonard Fournette came up😂😂
He didn’t know he would be in the nfl and a top 30 rb
Vooh from The Sipp, lol. We country strong!!!
Jalen Collins from the Sipp to and he got ran over by the qb
Bro if I don't make it to college I'mma be pissed these drills look so fucking fun
He didn't stop him at all but he atleast showed a better tackling form than the rest of his teammates. Everyone else was hitting to high he was the only one to hit low.
Uuuuummm what the hell was that lol! He didn't even go all out to blast the DB 😳
1:11 "it's bald head"😂😂😂
I was waiting for that STICK Disappointed at results
Jalen Collins probably don’t remember this at all. The raw room gotta talk about this😂
good stuff
Some big boys.
Where CTE’s are made.
Mark Dudley maybe you should look at something called case studies. Ya the it's all in the stats
@Mark Dudley stats don't look to good
@Mark Dudley this seasons nfl had a rise in concussion than last year. Although VICs are good technology, some promising signs of plataeuing and reduction in couple of years for sure is possible
Mark Dudley you sound dumb. Literally no helmet can prevent your brain from moving 😂😂😂 damn dawg go read
Mark Dudley I literally play football now LMAO you don’t even know me stupid ass💀💀💀 stupid af
At the end they said HE RAN YO ASS OVER!!LMAO
I mean, his last name was Voorhies
He pushed him out of bounds
+Saul Romero Did Vooh get ran over?Hell naw, lol. He from The Sipp!
+Saul Romero good observation...jacka$$
I’ll never get those 2 minutes back.
i love you man
There wasn't a single stop there. Someone mentioned he went out of bounds but on a goalline play he broke the Plane. Touchdown!!!
Justin Mcghie actually he didn't. the DB got his head across and that kept him from getting it over the plane. Good technique on the part of the DB.
Ain't no last name more intimidating than voorhees #fridayth13th
Buddy at the end was sorry lol
Wondering where someone stopped him......
Fournette has actually gone on to have a solid NFL career & Super Bowl ring since all of this 🙂👍
Will one of the defensive players wrap below the waist????
im mad defense giving up so much ground and the only thing that was stopping the offense was out of bounds. i expect the D to be attacking on 1on1 drills
Look where they at now in the nfl
Don't know who taught these guys to tackle but hitting up at the shoulder pads area is not the way to stop someone you got to plant and go low and wrap them up to stop their forward progress I learned that in grade school football and this is LSU wow
Who is T
On 1:17 the black coach says "Smack his ass!!!!" 😂😂
he didn't even stop him fornette trucked him tf
He got him outside the cones, so he won the drill. It would be almost impossible for a linebacker to stop a running back dead in their tracks in this drill, unless he was a complete monster or made a perfect tackle. The running back gets an advantage because they get a full head of steam at the goal line and the linebacker has to wait to see what side the running back goes too, then breakdown and try to tackle them.
Slim Thug lol true shit
I do play but OK
Jeremy Williams they we trying to divert the runner out of bounds, to the little cones. That's what he did
it should sy he pushes him out of bounce. Guiding a player out of bounche isn't stopping them. False advertisement.
That's a big DB
This video made me look up patrick Willis highlight videos to see some real tackling
That wasnt stopping him he still was running
"We talking about practice "
How did he stop him
No one can stop me though
Quarantine sent me here
盛り上げていくぞ!
I see that LSU must have gotten a big donor check
I'm playing next year my junior year
Who for?
I love football.
Same
Watching this in 2018, fourtnett a fucking tank
They lit , shit give the ball let me at em coach
Dam shame, what if OBJ and Landry and Fournette played under the current offensive coordinator...smh explosive
look at his high school highlight tape if you think the DB is sorry💯 I was his waterboy in highschool
lit k who for?
new news: every alabama defender stopped fournette
Trey sizzle your funny
They stopped him together not one on one
Andrey Smith That's smart football and how the game is meant to be played. Look at Seattle's defense, everyone rushes to the ball to make sure they can't get those extra yards.
Andrey Smith late but ask eddie jackson and reuben foster 😉
#32 WTF was that 😂
Yo Kel that boy bout to get a ring with Atlanta now 😂
King Kwon Gaming he played 3 seasons at my high school
Ivan Juarez udk him he was the FS for falcons last year he got cut this year smoking weed i think
😂
Did I miss something???
Stops him? Fournette powered right through him with ease the name of this video is very wrong
The goal of the drill is not to let the defender force you outside of the line. It's meant to see if the ball carrier can power forward without being pushed aside.
he was able to push him out of bounds, thats the point of the drill
Don't know what vid you watched. He definitely was stopped
Thank YOU 😂
it's harder to tackle then run the ball, if roles were flipped the ball carrier would have the advantage all the time. Tackler gotta get lower, and they react to the ball carrier moving after they do.
FIGHT CLUB! IYKYK lol
Best part! 1:15 "GET SOME"!!!😡😠🤬😄😅
🏈🏈🔥
I would rock both of these kids
Bro thinks he can rock leonard fournette... You leaving in a stretcher lmaooo
When you don't know how to takle this is what you get
The coaches are hilarious. He ran your asss over lmfao.
man who tf titled this video? voorhies?
Misleading, very misleading....but I guess that is how you get views.....
how was this misleading? He did stop him didnt he?
+Johnny Cash No stopping him means he stopped him not pushed him out of bounds. Fournette would have broke that weak ass tackle and gained even more yards.
Daryl Dixon
Very true he wouldve broken the tackle but its fournettes job to stay inbounds.
Johnny Cash Hence why the title is misleading. If it would have said pushed out of bounds, or even as simple as stopped from crossing the line. But to just say stopped I as well as what appears to be the majority took it as literally stopped him or prevented him from going any further.
Daryl Dixon
ah ok i see what you mean. Just interpreted it differently.
As of today 4/9/2020 2.3 million people where fooled by this video's title! Smh
voorhie moved a step forward so reduced Fournette's acceleration
Fla defense showed them how it's done
31 is a big ass DB
Terrance Collins thats a linebacker
me too
Me too
Didn't see nobody stop nobody.
Sup I'm back from the dead NERDS
You are popping up in every genre of video on youtube and its very confusing lmao
with the last name Voorhies, I'm not surprised he stopped him! #fridaythe13thjoke
Coach said he ran your ass over 😂😂 ain’t nothing like football lmao
Last dude was flat footed already started himself off wrong
that was so unsatisfying
Those defensive players look like they don’t want to tackle🥺
Nobody on defense can stop the offense?
LOL....I see you green
By bad, on 1:14 he says it
