I just bought a brand new “Gretsch Guitars G2627T Streamliner Center Block 3-pickup "Cateye"” after having the same Fender Squire Electric Mini for over ten years. We had a bunch of issues with shipping so I’m still waiting very patiently for it to come in the mail and because it’s semi-hollow I was looking at portable amps so I can walk around playing and bother my family hahaha. I wasn’t too sure about this one looking at it on the website but this video is so awesome- very concise, and you talk straight information. Great video!
I have the 57 Fender Mini twin that i modified the headphone jack to be a line out for a cab. You just cut two traces, one trace cut is for one sound channel and the other trace is for a resistor or diode i forget (i used a switch(DPDT) so i could still use it with headphones). it is surprisingly loud and full sounding plugged in to a 1X12 . oh and The handle is real on the 57 mini twin.
I need anyone’s help here. I brought my first guitar and its a cheap one and I also Got the fender mini twin as my first amp. Anyway when I try playing different solos in different songs i feel like I can’t get the adjustments of the sound of the songs right. Is the problem here from the amp or from the guitar? To sum up do i need to invest on a expensive amp to have different sounds so i can adjust to a certain sound of a song that i want to cover or not?
Hussein Ragab a quality amp is critical to your sound, I’d rather play a $50 guitar through a $500 amp than the other way around, that said these micros are just for practice(though some sound alright)
Great video, but for a 2x3 i was expecting a lot more, it sounds like a cheap toy in comparison to my 5 watt all valve Fender Champ 600 with the 1x6 which can be had second hand used on the cheap nowadays
My G Dec 30 - 50 watt - is stuck on a screen that says - "Ready For MIDI Update, Load UI, Exit To Reboot" and 'Nothing' else works! Amp is good as dead. Any solutions ? If nothing then how can i get rid of the digital interface and make the Amp Analog ? Please help! REPLY
I have no idea really but I'd start by playing ball with the amp and doing that midi update. It's a pain but if it brings him back to life then it's worth it.
Ah damn. I've heard time and time again that Fender aren't very obliging when it comes to service of Gdecs, too. Sorry man I'm out of ideas. Factory reset maybe?
Gearfacts would love to do that but can do nothing. There is no User Interface :( so no option of even having that option :( any idea of how can I have the entire digital thing taken off manually ? I don't mind de-soldering and soldering joints :-/
Now put a pignose next to that and compare. It is very cute for sure. Don't sound too bad either. Collect em all! Just send in 20 boxtops to the address shown...haha
Gearfacts sweet! Now ya talking. Haha, that would make for a really cool video. You could daisy chain them together so the last one is putting out 400 watts, ha!
I learned early that you have to be positive about ALL products. If you just go ahead and say what you're thinking, all the people who bought it will flame you. That's why I often say in my reviews "Buy the product that makes you smile, don't listen to reviewers or shop staff!"
Gotta love that loud ass buzzing that comes from cheap Fender amps. The American dream made in China. PS: If you want a mini portable amp just get a Boss Mini Katana. Still cheap and they are wonderful, plus it weights NOTHING even with the batteries in. 0 noises no matter how loud and overdrived you play. It's like heaven compared to this crap, for real.
@@gearfacts I bet you did. Thank you for this review tho, I know now what to never buy. That background noise is a killer queen. Btw gotta say that it got a really and nice mellow sound. Loving it to be honest.
It sounds “very transistorish” aka 9 volt Heaven( Fender Musical Instruments need their butts kicked). To be honest this company needs to change its name, because Leo Fender would have never traded off tubes to solid state bull 💩. It keeps getting worse( 😢😢😢). Next the guitars will be “plastic”; just to destroy The Fender Brand(😡😡😡).
I have just bought this amp and looking at this video I can't wait for it to come
haha cool glad you like the vid :) #gearfacts
How do you like it

Thanks for your kind feedback :) Happy new year!
I’ve got quite a few mini amps but not this one ! Might be cool to get ! Good review .

I have this one but the only reason that my dad gave it to me, is because our basement flooded and we were looking through boxes and we found it.
i owned this amp - to be honest i Ok with its size, price & sound produced - i'm Happy with it though 🎸🎼😁 Cheers from Singapore 💪✌️🎸
My first comment from Singapore! Thanks Faizaledge :)
@@gearfacts 👍👌timecheck here is 1122am ☕coffee time Happy Sunday ✌️
I just bought this and my first electric guitar (Epiphone) and idk what I'm doing wrong because when I plug everything in I hear nothing.
Battery definitely in position? It has to click right in there.
Does the light always come on when you turn it on, or does the input need to be plugged in for it to light up? I think the one I found is broken
Yep the light normally turns on.
God I want one of these 😂😂😂
Love it man!. Could you do some octave pedals? Looking around for a good one haha
Thanks man, this vid really helped me!!!
No problem!
Im spending high on a guitar (for me 600ish) and going low on the amp, i like how this one sounds thought
oh man, bad news, expensive guitar with cheap amp ruins the guitar, wish you could play on someone else's amp so you can really here your guitar
Idaho Jed when you say ruins do you mean the experience or does it actually ruin the guitar
@@edyoung4450 i mean, the sound, the feel is very important so, that's a bonus, but the for tone specifically the amp is more important
Ed Young it’s probably too late but if I could re start I would go with a cheap guitar and expensive amp
If you want bro check out what guitar you want on fender and I can sell it you brand new at a reduced price
Cool neighbor friendly
Good for ukulele? And does it come with a cable
yes and no respectively
Yes it does come with a battery.
SuperDsarmiento, cannot stop the BA-TTE-RY!!! (If ya know what I mean 😁)
Great review mate, cheers!!! ... I found one at a recycling shop for 5 bucks ha ha!
Nice bargain there!
Does it come with batteries in the box?
It comes with a weak battery, just for trial purposes really :) Gearfacts
Yes
Noisy as hell
Nothing more than a toy or an ornament really

Yeah you'll need to get something a bit larger. Vox makes some great small amps. Also the Line 6 Spider mini is really good :) # Gearfacts
Gearfacts great i will look into them thanks 👍🏻
Hussein Ragab a quality amp is critical to your sound, I’d rather play a $50 guitar through a $500 amp than the other way around, that said these micros are just for practice(though some sound alright)
Cliff Braun thanks for your help man 👍🏻
Cliff Braun what do you think of the fender champion?
The box says it has a DC option, other than the 9v battery. How does that option work???
I think they mean batteries when they say "DC option"
DC means you can plug it in with an adapter.
Bro you used only amplifier or pedal
No pedals, direct to amp
Is this amp worth the money? Im thinking about buying it.
No, not really :(
I got one a few months its stopped working no power light nothing .
Take it apart, see if there's any obvious thing to fix :)
What if I plug my kemper into mine ?
No problems.
Sounds like a cb radio w all of that buzz
Yeah it's bleedin' dreadful :)
Just got it battery in place.turned on and making noise but when I strum no noise. Any help?
Sounds faulty to me, like a bad connection in the wiring. Classic symptom... wish I had more suggestions, sorry TN
Great video, but for a 2x3 i was expecting a lot more, it sounds like a cheap toy in comparison to my 5 watt all valve Fender Champ 600 with the 1x6 which can be had second hand used on the cheap nowadays
Yeah I think it sits neatly in the "toy" category :)
does it work on an electric drum kit
Yep 👍
Gain and distorian same
There isn't much variety in the sounds ...3" speaker
Can I use that amp with a bass?
Yes but it won't sound very good :) #gearfacts
baerleon what kind of waste of space would be so arrogant as to mock someone for absolutely no reason?
I'd say do it anyway and see what kind of farty fuzz tones can be achieved 😁
Like it!
not bad for what it is reminds me ov a drive in move speaker ..
Dá pra tocar na rua pra poucas pessoas com um som bom? Tipo para umas 20 pessoas
Sim, isso seria aceitável :) Gearfacts
can i play a bass on this amp?
Yes but it'll sound even worse than the baritone guitar sounded in this demo :( Gearfacts
@@gearfacts ty!
Yes
🤘🏽
What happens if I plug in a pedal??
It still sounds pretty terrible, but it'll work :) #gearfacts
Daniel Akers you’ll have to carry it in your shirt pocket 😄

Pignose are excellent sound...and not more expensive
If we increas gain the distorian will increase or not
Distortion should increase
baerleon An old girlfiend o mine lived on Butt St. Someone got a marker pen and changed it to Butt Sex. Classic :)
lol crush amp
could i sue this with my bass guitar
It won’t sound great, but it will work
No, you can't Sue this with a Bass Probably you may want to hire a lawyer instead.
I think the little Laneys sound better.
I didn't even know Laney made one like this
Why is the reviewer in the video happy with the amp while the comments from the channel are all negative? Weird.

Well yeah. I guess it's just a novelty item. Good for testing stuff as it doesn't take up any room in a workshop :) Gearfacts
It's just a novelty item, good for testing guitars during repairs. Use it on camping trips or desk/shelf ornaments etc.
