Sal Ya, at first when you reviewed the dab I wasn't to impressed due to the noise it made as I'm into quieter spins. But this changes the game completely! Btw your vids are amazing and I love the frequent uploads. Ever try any of the new plastic spinners on FidgetHQ? They are like 10 bucks a piece I think.
I'm actually just messing with a plastic spinner. I just placed it on top of pliers' handles. The automatic center punch is spring loaded, It's designed to create a dimple that way screws don't wander when you start drilling on metal. Press it in and it'll snap the tip to a focused point, as if you're hitting it with a mallet. The force is enough to push through the core and as you mentioned, it doesn't require much pressure to take these out.
Oooo... So close to pulling the trigger on the Dab and Kong after seeing this video. That looks so smooth and satisfying. I want to do it with a brass Dab, brass Kong adapter, and black Kong caps.
Sal Yeah, just different flavors. Just made my orders! The Kong is on backorder so I'll have some time to try out the Dab on its own for awhile. I may order a gold line at some point if I like the 608 enough. Went with brass Dab and black Kong. I think the Dab+Kong looks very aesthetically pleasing and I think it will look pretty sharp with the brass and black. Thanks for the inspiration, and your thorough reviews! Hope it's not too hard to get the bearing out
This is the first video showing exchange of a bearing which has been fixed with adhesive. Thank you for showing an ingenious way of doing it. I read that acetone/nail polish remover dissolves the superglue . You could try putting a few drops along the rim to facilitate the removal process?
I did the same exact thing except mine came out on accident when i was cleaning with isopropyl and using the hair dryer to dry. I used the black kong but it did not fit perfectly so i wrapped some clear tape around the kong to take the place of that negative space and pressed it in. It's my favorite spinner now!
I actually like it a whole lot better because it makes it much smoother and quieter. and it spins a bit longer. not by too much but the smoothness and silence is worth it in itself. I ordered a couple of different styles of spinners today from Amazon to see how they are. I would love to talk about spinner experimentation with you if you have hangouts or something.
Sal do you think this one also faces the hot spot issue near the tips of the blades on the inside? mine is also a bit wobbly due to the bore being uneven for the bearing.
Sal yeah I'm thinking about maybe sanding down both sides to see how much of a difference that might make on the wobble and sanding down a bit on the blades as well.
from all that iv seen and experienced, hybrid ceramic is in my opinion the best type of bearing to use on fidget spinners, iven though its not too quite.
I told Yardworx that spinners didn't even hit MA until around April. I'm seeing a few China web sites selling out. I also see spinnercraft selling at 70% off and I see nothing new coming in. This is not the only web site selling at low prices. I'm thinking the Lead China made spinners have sellers running to get rid of there stock.
Sal all American railroad tracks has the same width like the IRT but not all trains can fit through the platform IRT Station only The IRT Subways and I wish the creator change the Fidget spinner named R188 to something else
Wow! what a difference, this makes almost the perfect small spinner IMO. Even better than the Kong.

Great tip with the nickel, Thanks! I use a automatic center punch to apply pressure instead.
