Dude...I did this exact same test with all my dabs last night! Mine performed as followed with each getting multiple spins tests brass around 40-45 seconds, raw and high speed around 50-55 seconds, and the copper getting 35-38 seconds. I'm still working on my copper, and I gotta say it is starting to smooth out just like my raw did after some break in. I've been two hand hard spinning it repeatedly for hours the last two days, along with multiple compressed air blast spins for a minute or more at a time and its finally stopped that annoying hanging up in the cage I was telling you about...so this makes me believe it does require some break in. I also picked up a vorso clone yesterday with a hybrid 606 and I dig the feedback I may drop a 608 in it though now after watching this video. I'm curious to see what people suggest for other good 608 spinners. It seems I own the same 608's as you so I got nothing to add to that part of the discussion. Love your vids...608's for the win!!
I'm definitely looking around for a boomerang...i cant spend the dough on a micro axis. I think the only yardwerx left for me that generates any interest is the hollow zik. Oh and I am kinda curious about the "lug" he has posted some video off...it looks like it might have two bearings in it possibly...not sure though.
I love your videos on the Dabs - bought my first one after seeing them on your channel. He's out of the Raw so I settled for the High Speed Dab and did a DIY stonewash on it last night. Would love to get a Bronson Speed Raw bearing to throw in there too.
Sal...just wanted to give an update on my copper dab...the bearing has smoothed out a lot so keep spinning it...I'm convinced this bearing has a longer break in than my other dabs. Also picked up a boomarang unfortunately not in 608 but it's great nonetheless! But most importantly and I cannot state this enough the woosah namaste zen in 608...man oh man is this not only one of the nicest spinners I've bought recently but it's only $50 and it's absolutely fantastic in form factor and the fact they offer it in 608 is awesome...it's only been a day but this might be rising to the top of my list for 608 spinners!! Gotta give it a look!!
My favorite 608 right now is a good quality copper vorso clone I got off Fasttech, but I haven't gotten my hands on a dab yet, either. Also got another 608 spinner off Fasttech that's a clone of the complyfe "tactical spinner" - didn't realize it was a clone when I got it, but it's surprisingly nice, a hefty, stubbyish chunk of cerakoted SS with brass caps and a decent hybrid ceramic bearing. The weight of it works really well with a 608 because it's got that "zippy" feel of a 608 but it doesn't actually spin that fast/long (like you, I'm not into long spin times, it's about the feel for me). Also, pondering that copper dab - you've probably already thought of this, but have you doublechecked to make sure the bearing is dead center? Whenever I've had a difference in sound/performance from one side or the other, it's always been because the bearing is slipping a little within the housing (or it wasn't centered up perfectly to begin with). Might be worth doublechecking that, and if it's sitting proud on one side or the other, squaring it back up by running it over a table edge (that's the easiest way I've found of doing it, anyway) and re-loctiting.
ChrisViral on you tube also has a site on Etsy. He purchased the bearings off Amazon but never told me what Bearings they are. There's 2 bearings on his site and one is better he says & costs around $4.50 each but he's outside the US and shipping is $12 I think. I'm thinking it's the same 6-ball bearing you have here. If you do find out please let me know. I'm willing to buy a couple of yours if you have 2 left.
Yardwerx is failing to provide product after their website re-haul. They even emailed me back that the Dab has been discontinued. WTF?! Please make a video about a quality Yardwerx clone when and if it becomes available.
I think we need more $25-$38 dollar 608 Spinners. I'm seeing spinnercraft selling out all there China mades along with two other places. I think it's possible the Lead scare in China made Spinners have slowed sales and nows the time for US sellers to get in. I wouldn't jump in with $100,000 dollars but maybe $20,000 and see where it goes. I might also wait to see what sales are like with kids in school now. But I'd gear my advertising towards both kids and adults. A lot of local stores did not have them until April and I found out around May and older people my age are asking me for some store names. My neighbor stopped me yesterday because he wanted to know what I had in my hand. Now he wants an Axiom. He also didn't flinch at the price. I'd really like to see Yardworx give it another go. Woman have shelves with nick knacks ranging from $20-300 and after my neighbor upstairs couldn't believe I paid that much for a spinner I decided to ask her the prices of the things in her cabinet that do nothing but look pretty....she replied with "touch'e". There's not much on Amazon because of the lead problem that started a lot of problems with China made Spinners.

The loose fitting plastic caps are key to that "sizzle" sound
Can I get that swiss chocolate one?

I see others have already done what I did and emailed Yardworx and there done.
Hopefully the factory that makes them will just keep doing so and provide the clones to FastTech or a similar online retailer.
