But when you came you opened my eyes to enjoy the history behind amazing universe of all genres. But your style and the way that you present it is what gives it a feeling of it being real and that is amazing. Please. Keep up the amazing work. To the Templin Institute, I am with you all the way!!!
There's something great about Warhammer's Vampires. Not strictly dead (as many are in other settings) but still haunted by the creation of their kind and the darkness simply existing causes around them, they're often sympathetic to a degree despite slowly twisting into something less than human... monsters made of men whose hearts still beat and souls still suffer. They can be noble, they can be selfless, they can even be heroes sometimes, but there is no ultimate redemption or recovery for them. Only the cold darkness of eternal and creeping isolation or a bittersweet release in final death. They beat the hell out of the Kindred (for instance), and I say that as someone who thinks World of Darkness kinda gets "real-world" Vampires *right*.
Know this: these descriptive fantasy narrations like Skavenblight or about the Dark Elves, including this one are the best i ever heard. Its excellent for letting the thoughts drift to strange and unknown realms of fiction.
Count Noctilus : I wonder, Harkon, can you live with this? Can you condemn an innocent man, a friend, to a lifetime of servitude in your name while you roam free? Luthor Harkon :Yep. w're good with it.
one day a convoy of eldar ships transporting tons of garlic sunk in a storm close to the "Vampire Coast". The raging sea pushed the wrecked ships and their cargo toward the "Vampire Coast". Next morning the region's name was changed. Now it is just "Coast".
I'm new to Warhammer, but so far I love it! One thing that's been bugging me however: what are the rules for vampires like? How come Manfred can walk around during the day in total Warhammer? Is it cause he has a pure bloodline or can they all do that?
A bit late, but here's the deal. No, Vampires can't go out in the sun in Warhammer, but some can use magic to hide them from the sun for a short time. Total war Warhammer is not canon so don't think to much about it
Direct sunlight will generally destroy vampires, but a thick cloud covering or heavy clothing (e.g. a fully-concealing cloak with a hood) is enough to protect them. Vampire armies march to war under "darkling skies" as they're called, i.e. a supernaturally heavy cloud covering that protects the vampires from the sun. This varies though, and some vampires can tolerate the sun more or less. But yes, vampires can be and often are active during daytime in Warhammer, and will even go out into the sunlight in some cases (though it's obviously much more risky as clouds can be cleared via magic and heavy clothing can be torn away). Otherwise, the weaknesses of the vampire vary a lot and it's mostly random upon their transformation. Some are vulnerable to holy symbols, some aren't. Some cast reflections, some don't. Some will be damaged by running water, some won't be. Warhammer has witch hunters who, even with their training/knowledge, cannot reliably detect vampires they're standing directly in front of, if that gives you any idea as to how hard they can be to spot. The most reliable weakness they have is silver weapons, though. Silver weapons bite deeply into the vampire's normally supernaturally resistant flesh. Doesn't burn on contact, but a silver dagger will cut into a vampire the way a steel dagger would into a human (whereas a steel dagger will perhaps shallowly cut a vampire). There is no concept of "purity" in Warhammer vampires. It's not like World of Darkness where each generation is less powerful than the last. Mannfred is quite powerful because he's rather old and has traveled the world seeking magical knowledge. But he's not really any 'more' Von Carstein than Cleetus Von Carstein, the stable hand Bubba Von Carstein turned one night for kicks.
Vlad: There are only so many sentient Bampires we can rely upon. Mannfred: What about Luthor Harkon? Vlad: Can you really call Luthor Sentient? Luthor: NNNNNNOOOOOOO!!! Vlad: See? Luthor: IMMA PIRATE!!
Brilliantly done guys. And What's the name of the narrator if I may ask? She did an amazing job on all of her warhammer40k videos too. My favorite is her tribute to the Astra Militarum and the realm of Ultramar. Beyond perfection!
I have to admit that I love that you guys are doing more videos on Warhammer Fantasy, but for Sigmar’s sake the only major faction you did are the Dark Elves! Why not make the Empire, they are in my opinion the best faction in Fantasy.

@Maria Kelly Wrong Warhammer mate.

Probably cause this stuff got retconned out by GW to make Age of Sigmar.
I really hope the Vampire Coast gets added to the Old World game. That would be amazing.

Why do I watch Templin Institute.
