It's "thread lock", it helps the bolt to stay in place, not necessary. But be remember to take the car to an alignment shop when you're done. I did'nt, but if you want the steering to be perfect, you should.

Yes, that's correct "Styreledd". But it also says that you inner one is bad. That's the part you screw the tie rod onto. The ball joint itself is protected by the rubber boot on that particular part. In Swedish it is called "styrstag". I have a video on how to change it on a volvo 940. Should be similar on the s70/v70.

There are specific torque for the bolts.
Add the year for the vehicle.
