    Your English is VERY good and this helps so much as I’m about to do the tie rods and ball joints on my 93 940. Much thanks from the US!!

    I'm looking at picking up a '93 Volvo 940, and the owner mentioned that it will need new tie rods soon. The only work I've regularly done on vehicles was swapping the starter, spark plugs, and alternator in my old dodge wagon from the '70s. (And like. Oil/filter changes) I'm glad to see that this is a fairly simple process. Thanks for the video!

    Useful and confidence-inspiring. Need to have a look at my steering rack as it looks like I've got a small fluid leak, and this is really useful as I'll probably do the tie rods at the same time if it ends up needing a new rack.

    Love this guy, he instills confidence in the meekest if garage beginners. Btw I love the white detail on the bumper covers! How is this achieved, and the engine sounds great; what is your set up? The sound is top notch mate!!!!

    Thank you very much, I have a vibration in my steering wheel when turning and on straights it pulls to the right, might have to replace the tierods or perhaps the whole rack..

    Thanks for the video though, great info

    It's not necessary to take the outer tie rods off the the hubs if you just need to change inner rods, correct ?

    • @BoldCreator
      @BoldCreator  3 года назад +1

      That could work if there is enough room

      Is there any reason not to change both inner and outer tie rods if the wheel hub moves too much. Neither part is expensive. Better to have all new for both , right?

    I see that you have the pliers covered with duct tape attached to the steering rack -> However you are not holding them counterclockwise when unscrewing the inner tie rods ..
    I can see the steering rack turning a bit when you un/screwed the tie rods. Is there a risk of breaking the seals ??

      I had actually already loosened it, on the video was just a demonstration. Although you dont need a lot of force and if the steering rack is moving just a little bit it is no problem.
