Oh, I thought it was about drinking water for the rest of your life in another context. Like, what happens if you only drink water instead of other drinks
The longest I've lasted on a water only fast was 5 days, but then again, 5 days was my target, so idk how much longer I could have went. I also didn't want to lose anymore weight. It's nice, after say, day 3 you don't really feel hunger. No, it doesn't take 10 days to get into ketosis..
@@iLLustrious85 i think i have the discipline for this but im scared if i will have any health consequences. Did you feel weak or exhausted during this diet?
Yeah this guy full of crap fasting is good for you. too long like anything is not. agent spreading lies. most people even skinny can live weeks with electrolytes even longer with no problems. The danger is not to eat anything right away you have to rebuild back up.
I believe the world record which occurred a long time ago was somewhere around 280+ days without food drinking only water and i can’t remember the exact days it lasted. To start, the person was very much overweight and they was just loosing weight the entire time as well all that time and lost a hell of a lot of weight and then kept it off. Back in 2019, I myself fasted for 25 days injecting nothing but water and was just fine. I’m not skin and bones, so I also had body weight I found shed which I did to around almost 20 lbs over the three weeks. Everybody is different with their body and if you have excess weight in fat stores to loose, your body will just slowly burn it off slowly over the time your water fasting. So you can water fast much longer than a week.
Fasting without eating would be both a blessing and a curse in my case. I’m borderline obese, so I would lose weight significantly, but I would be so damn hungry lol
Not eating would just make you weaker tbh. Even if you have extra fats and stuff they won't do much cause they're not "healthy fats". You need a certain daily nutrition intake
i did a water fast after the first few days my hunger disappeared and a research study with 1422 People fasting for 21 days, found that hunger disappeared for 93% of the people
My friend did it for 100 days but she was morbidly obese. She lost a lot of weight quickly. No loose skin but after starting to eat she hadn’t broken those bad eating habits and wound up gaining some of it back. Not to where she was but like a gastric sleeve if you don’t change your habits you’ll wind up whee you were before
i did 60 days but ive got loose skins i also walked daily and do light body weight training. im far from my goal but idk what to do with the loose skin it doesnt look good lol
All I got from this is that you definitely can last the rest of your life only drinking water. It's just that the rest of your life would only be about 70 days🤷🏽♂️
i tried keto diet before. not same process as drinking water only but you'll get the same effect of ketosis state. although i did lose weight faster than other process of diet, its not really fun to do and you'll definitely have a very bad mood like almost a depression. also after you quit keto and started to eat normally again, you'll easily gain weight again.
i was thinking about doing keto just to lose some "unwanted" weight and to get some other *_health benefits_* temporarily then switch to a diet kinda like in between keto and most other people regular diet. the main issue i have with keto is it's very restrictive. you'd be crossing out so many food on your list. so i'm thinking in the long run a "hybrid keto" or partial keto diet would fit my ideal diet plan.
I work a physical labor job and during the summer, I’d probably consume close to a gallon and a half of water each day I worked, with added electrolytes .. and still feel thirsty because I was sweating and moving so much… however, on my days off, I just sleep most of the day and maybe get through 2-3 bottles of water at most.. I can usually tell when I need more electrolytes when I’ve been drinking regular water all day and I’m still thirsty.. I try to balance it out when I’m drinking that much water in one day.
Most of the people who water fast, myself included, dont just drink plain water. Drinking water without replenishing your electrolytes is a HUGE no no in the water fast community. Electrolyte powders or supplements are essential to a successful water fast, as is a slow re-entry to eating with light things like soups or broths for those of do extend fasts. Personally ive only water fasted no longer than 2wks at a time.
I fasted 7 days and I felt great I only broke my fast my family was getting on my nerves about it😂 and I absolutely didn’t lose 20pounds like the you tubers more like 7 pounds 😢😂❤
When I drink a lot of water in one sitting, my stomach hurts. I can't imagine doing that every hour. And wouldn't too much water in one sitting kill you?
I did a 21 day water fast..I did had a load of fat to lose, and sun bathed for a hour everyday for energy, And I didn't felt any of the things you mentioned above during the 21 DAT fast. But If I'm a lean person with not much fat resource in the body I might have experience some may be. Cheers!
If you drank too much water You may start experiencing things like confusion, drowsiness, and headaches. If this pressure increases it could cause conditions like hypertension (High Blood Pressure) and bradycardia (Low Heart Rate). Sodium is the electrolyte most affected by overhydration, leading to a condition called hyponatremia and most people die by water intoxication not infections
I got a severe bout of stomach flu one summer. I had a diet of Coke, orange juice, water and popsicles. Everything else I couldn't keep down. It lasted a whole month, and I had absolutely no hunger pains.
0:23 is my exact reaction to this question, I though it meant you could eat too, soon as he mentioned no eating as well, that's when I laughed, my answer to this "What'dya f**king think is gonna happen?" 🤣🤣
Just asking, what is the maximum water I can drink daily and be safe from any long term or short term health issues? Some say my quantity of drinking water is not healthy, but I like it '-'
You need to count 0,5 to 1 liters of water every 10 kilos of you weight. 0,5 x every 10 kg is the minimum your body requires, 1 x every 10 kg is the maximum, more than that could make you have a water poisoning. And if you drank more than 5 liters of water in less than 30 minutes, you will die for water poisoning
This is what a water fast is extremely effective for weight loss. How he explains your body shifts from relying on glucose to body fat for energy levels. Once your in this stage you continue to water fast until your happy with your body fat percentage and just introduce food again. If your diet continues the way it was before you will put on the fat again but this is where you need to maintain a healthy diet afterwards. Works a charm and is actually pretty good for your system. Some of the healthiest people in the world.
I’ve only done prolonged water fasting for about three days, a few times. Each time I lose about 4.4 pounds, which is not bad at all. I can’t imagine doing 70 days of water fasting unless I’m morbidly obese. That way I’ll be able to produce ketones for food from all the body fat.
In ancient times, people drank wine and beer. Now we have sodas and energy drinks to sustain ourselves. In an emergency, drinking some water is fine (health experts recommend diluting it in mountain dew to kill the batceria within it). But long term water use can cause chemical dependency.
Can’t really agree with the facts mentioned. In my religion (Jainism) we practice water only fasting quite often. I myself did an “Atahi” (8 days without food and just water, no water after sunset) and the time when I was doing it another guy was at 30 days. He went on for 55 days and I don’t remember him getting all these issues. Surely, the food after this fasting was very important. For 2 weeks it was a transition from liquid to solid food. It was a good experience (not easy) but thousands of people practice it every year.
In jainism religion during their holy festival ( paryushan )ppl drink only luke warm water during day time only upto sunset ... for 8days 16days or 30 days ..
Drinking only water for the rest of my life? In this episode, drinking water for the rest of your life is equal to drinking water for the next 70 days or do.
Another interesting what if that provides valuable insight that the body needs more than just plain H2O, we need stuff like protein, vitamin, calcium, fiber and more for survival!
Drinking only water for the rest of your life would be very unbalanced and dangerous for your health. While water is essential for hydration and maintaining bodily functions, it does not provide the necessary nutrients and minerals that the body needs to survive such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Lack of these essential nutrients can lead to malnutrition and a host of health problems such as anemia, muscle weakness and wasting, immune deficiencies, and organ damage. Additionally, drinking only water can lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalances and kidney problems. It is important to maintain a well-balanced diet that includes a variety of foods in order to provide the body with the necessary nutrients to function properly.
But, for me not having food for 24 hours or longer. these symptoms might show earlier in me than others. Because I'm built differently, and can't endure hunger for a longer time.
Who the hell takes in only water? You need food. Water is definitely better then everything else people drink but it can't be the ONLY thing you take in. Drink water. Eat food.
I feel like you skipped a few steps between "you go into ketosis" and "once you've lost all your fat". That's probably the most interesting part. If vitamins and minerals are a problem, then what if you drink water, vitamins and minerals, plus burn your fat stores for energy? Is that sustainable until you've lost all your fat?
