So lovely to hear your wife having a laugh!!!!!!😊…….. I would have thought she would have been sick of this work, but I guess without a supportive wife this could not have even started😂
I understand Colin, I'm building a semi underground workshop embedded into a hillside on the back of my property. Building underground is VERY hard, but totally worth it in the end. If done correctly, you get a cooler place to work in the hot summer days, and a warmer place in the winter. So much concrete and steel construction.... It is very heavy work 😮💨
@@colinfurze Where I live, it gets very hot in the summers (About 43C or 109F in direct sun) and especially in flat open areas. I have tried to build garages / workshops in easy to build areas, but they are useless 7-8 months out of the year without severe A/C systems to keep them usable. that gets very cost prohibitive. Thankfully I have a large hillside towards the back of my land and building into the side of the hill seems to be the way to go. much easier to keep cool. I'll probably tunnel into it at some point...
The difference is, and I know you are well aware, the vast volume of the excavation. You did this bit in three days, that bit in 2 weeks,, but I'd wager the total; volume of the garage is 3 or 4 times the total of all the prior bits put together. You are doing great.
To be fair Colin, the weather this summer hasn't been too good either, some more sun would have helped a lot I reckon. Still good to see it taking shape and once the last wall is up it'll feel much more complete.

Always excited to see an update! Thank you for including us on the journey!!!
I'm excited too. Can't wait to see how it all turns out. Keep it coming.
2:53 Oh the small dad joke. Love it! 😂
It is very heavy work 😮💨
I think this is going to be worth it, its starting to give off epic vibes and its nots done yet lol
25:23 i see those christmas trees, its still november colin!
That's from x-mas 23. Colin is just behind with editing :)
To be fair Colin, the weather this summer hasn't been too good either, some more sun would have helped a lot I reckon.
Still good to see it taking shape and once the last wall is up it'll feel much more complete.
Showing the wear Mr. Furze. You have taken on a monumental task and are almost there... Dig on
