That’s really made me want to clean my van. It’s great having somewhere like that to wash your van. Our drive is on a bit of a slope so a ladder wouldn’t be very safe but there’s no excuse for not cleaning the rest of it! It’s not too bad but it needs to go on to my to do list. Thanks for sharing another interesting video.

😂😂😂 I don't know how you move along the road with a tiny 160 bhp, you need a whooping 100 bhp like us😂😂, I do like the way you are constantly on top of you van and it shows it's still like brand new, I service our van on time every time never miss, everything works on our van and I mean everything, but I must admit at 27 years old I don't worry about marks scratches etc , so I'm happy to take it anywhere, through bushes etc, but you do a great job on yours and if you want it to last for 27 years keep it up, another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍
hi stephen yes i do love a clean van i always try and keep on top of the jobs , your van is doing brilliant & never realised its 27 yrs old ! i bet you know it inside and out , every rattle every noise and where and why it’s doing it etc , i did notice a whining noise coming from passenger side but realised it only happens when kirsty is sitting there 😂🤣

I did all the 'Spring Cleaning on our Motorhome in July before we went on Holiday to Somerset and Dorset! Took a lot longer than yours but looked great too!! :-)

well mine took 2 hrs in total , started at 7.30 am and was done by 9.30 , just on film it was 15 mins

Your a braver man than me using a pressure washer on your van ,
been using a pressure washer for 30 years i’m a valetor by trade
I personally wouldn’t use a pressure washer especially near the roof lights and any where a cable goes in it’s so easy to start getting water ingress
Can't believe I've just watched someone clear their van but I do enjoy your vlogs. I'd considered a coating for my new van with a ceramic or silicone coat but after trying Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution Ceramic Spay Coating, I think its an excellent low cost DIY solution

i dread cleaning it 😩 so many little cubby holes everywhere and tiny places but it’s one of those things where once you finally get into it , you don’t stop 😂

Thanks for the video. Lovely to see your pride in the van. If you keep a medium sized unused paint brush in your glove box or door bin they are excellent for cleaning the dust off and around the dashboard. They are brilliant for getting into the crevices and awkward places.

habitation check next week for us, going to Vantage for its first one , will have to your re watch your vlog on your visit and what to do to while away the time in Leeds
we tried to get booked in at vantage for the habitation at the peterborough show when we went to the vantage stand and julie said nothing available til october ! and that was in april ! so a local guy did it , leeds is beautiful ( and big ! ) we found some really nice places there and no shortage of places to eat

be careful when power washing the van especially around the badges , i lost the letter T of the Ducato front wing , at first i thought somebody had nicked it but later realised it probably flew of when power washing, took me weeks to find a new badge especially it being a new x8 chassis and also they cost a small fortune , so lesson learned now i never power wash near the badges
yes they do come off pretty easy , love the x8 chassis especially the steering wheel , have always found the steering wheel a bit large on the older models
Those replacement badges look spot on to me and I’m a Virgo 🤣 Could I just ask what the extendable washing brush / pad you use please Mike? Looks kinder to paintwork, rather than just a wash brush… Cheers, Debs 🚐

When you wash the roof have you thought about an attachment brush that turns with the pressure ,in a circle motion to help you clean the roof . Love the videos
i looked for one a while back and found 2 , 1 was really cheap looked flimsy and the other was really really expensive , good idea though it would work a treat thanks 👍😀

hi hope you enjoy your new van & can’t beat a nice clean one i always try to keep on top of it , the remap was to add a little bit more power when fully loaded , i travel with water tank full plus dogs etc & it also helped a bit with the MPG , not a huge amount just a bit

I use a wet wipe to get dusty gunk off of the wheels…its handy for an impromptu freshen up in between deep cleans

Mike, what do you use on the acrylic windows, was it an APC or something more specific?
hi karl it was just your average window clean spray really bought from any store , nothing special , although i have soaked a cloth in rainguard before and gone over them with that then a dry micro fibre after to clear off the smears but when it rains it just beads and runs off 👍
Lovely cleaning there Mike, your lucky to have use of a garage forecourt to clean your van on how did you manage that ?
Out of interest who does your had check and what’s their charge?
the habitation was done by thetford caravan services i’ve used him for about 5 years now , the place used for cleaning the van is my work place i’m a car valetor by trade 👍

Hi Mike. What sort of bug remover do you use? Our van gets covered in loads of fly poop (we live on a farm) and washing doesn't remove it. Ta

Having my service, MOT and habitation tomorrow, fingers crossed it passes everything. I wish I could clean the roof of my van, it’s hit and miss with hose. I’m not good with heights and I’m only 5’4 so not easy.
