I was born in Jersey in 1948. I spent a great deal of time every summer at the Jersey Shore, primarily at Ocean Grove. My parents retired in the '70s and moved from North Jersey to Brick Township, inland just a few miles from Point Pleasant. The beach and boardwalk there were always lovely. Jenkinson’s Pavilion which extended out over the beach, was the main attraction along the boardwalk, and it was a wonderful place that originated from an earlier time, it was old-fashioned and very nostalgic, there was a famous ballroom and one of the big bands was usually booked, Frank Sinatra sang there when he was very young. Looks like Jenkinson's has greatly expanded with lots of brand new attractions and shops which seem very exciting, colorful, and up-to-date, and yet it has retained a clean, wholesome family atmosphere. After all these years It could have become run-down and depressing. However, it looks totally renewed, amazing, and a fun place to visit.

I was born in Point Pleasant hospital and lived in Brielle until i was 19. I used to hang out at this boardwalk all summer with my friends. I live in Colorado now so its nice to see my old hangout again. Thanks!

I'm amazed how those palm trees are able to stay alive given that New Jersey isn't a warm weather state most of the year.
There are different varieties of palm tress, may be this is a special one that can easily get adapted to this weather

My absolute favorite part of 4k tours is people reacting to the camera. Basically anyone under 40 is going to make eye contact with it and quickly look away, or acknowledge it in some way. Anyone over 40 just glares into it. as they walk past. Like, grrrr, I'm gonna post that on the facebooks later after my political rant! It's like a game...
