I found one close to me praise the lord. Do you perform any mods on these?? I could only get a black one. I want to get it cerocoated..a different color. Any recommendations?? Thanks
I have two Canik Mete guns…the SFX and the SFX Pro. Best shooting handguns I've ever owned. I'm just using iron sights, and both are dead on at 25 yards with my preferred ammo. Dollar for dollar best value on the market, IMO.
To dissamble it, you don't have to bring the slide back. Just pull the tabs down. I love Canik handguns. I like that METE SF a lot, better than a 3" micro. Thank you, GB! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
One thing about the included Magwell you'll see it stamped saying (comp) for those with the SFT or SFX the stock magwell does not fit a Mete SF even though they look the same. Those are stamped (full)
Another posit8ve to the magwell is that it wedges my hand in the grip and give my pinky a leverage point , I actually shoot the Combat exec and Mete SF flatter than the Rival because of that
Thank you, be sure to see the full write up. In my opinion Glock is a good starting place, but there are many other options with the same reliability but much better user experience depending on what you're looking for.
I just bought one. My local gun store/ range, had the METE SFT, and the SFX. In different colors. I have a TP9 SF Elite SC, and wanted a 4" Tp9 Elite.. as I've shot a friend's and loved it. The METE SF- seems to be a gun Canik itself isn't pushing as hard as the SFT and SFX. The SFT is concealable for me, but just barely. It feels great, and I'll bet it shoots amazing. I ordered the SF, because it's similar at 4.19" to my PDP compact in size. Before taking it to the range, I stripped it, cleaned it and lubed it- I think that helps the break in better. At the range, it shot very well, and I had no issues at all. I put about a hundred rounds through it. Would you please, let us METE owners know what Canik magazines will function in this pistol? I have several, and two new SF Elite 18 rounders, that fit and hopefully will work, but I'd like to know just which ones to also avoid. The ones I bought with the extra round baseplate, make the gun fit my really big hands perfectly. I tried the aluminum magwell extension, and it's uncomfortable for me. Looking forward to the range test! Thanks Graham, and Tia, for entertaining, super informative videos.
The amount of accessories available on the canik website is pretty crazy, I saw a threaded barrel for the rival on there for $93 which is nuts. I’ve been looking for threaded barrels for my CZ and it’d cost me almost as much as if I just bought another P10
This is my preferred size on Caniks. Not sure why these aren’t pushed harder. It’s size is very similar to the tp9sf elite which people seem to love. Just seems like a better version of that same gun.
I read one review that said the rear sight can be reversed in the dovetail for the front serrated side to be used for a blacked out sight picture. Haven't seen anything on it in the forums though and was wondering if that is something anyone here has seen or tried. I need to get me a sight pusher still...
This model has been around for a while but no one seemed to pay attention to it. There are very few videos about it. I've been looking at possibly purchasing it, but I actually got the SFT Pro instead the other day. I wish that Canik would make a pro version of the SF where it's slightly shorter and more concealable than the SFT but with the benefits of the Pro versions (Tritium front/Black Rear, 90 degree break trigger that feels even more amazing, threaded barrel, etc.). I don't want to have to purchase a separate flat trigger, tritium sights, threaded barrel, etc. It would be great if they offered it as a pro version from the factory like they do for the SFT and SFX.
Then you are in luck as Adam from Canik USA had announced that every Mete will get a Pro model. The SFT and the SFX have already gotten one and SF should be next. I was looking at the SFT Pro and I am waiting for the SF Pro as my first gun candidate as it can be expected to be a beast.
@@murato8711 I remember him saying that in the original introductory video for the Pro series as well, but I wasn't sure if it was actually happening for the SF since it's been a while. It would be great if it does though. I've held off on buying the standard SF model in the hopes that a Pro version is coming.
Video size comparisons are a great way to be mislead. Intentionally or not, the angle of the camera, angle of the guns, focal length of the lens, etc can al distort the proportions. If you want to know the real size differences take a look at the specs.
Graham, long term update on Mete MC9 when? A bit worrying that quite a number of issues have popped up. Was wondering what your experience has been so far. Hoping its just teething issues or break in periods. Its VERY unlike Canik to have this many issues with a new product.

That's a tough question to ask as holster selection is mostly a mater of personal taste. Even when buying two holster for different guns from the same company I've had mixed results (ie loved their holster for Gun X, but not for Gun Y).
