The sound was good through my stereo in this. But his vocal wasn’t as strong in this performance. Unfortunate reality of a singer in a rock band for 40 years. Can’t do night after night without adequate rest.
I think it’s authentic German. It would make sense because Bono speaks in different languages sometimes whether he’s out touring in another country or just quoting someone. He sang Luciano Pavarotti’s Italian lyrics in “Miss Sarajevo”, so I’m sure he studied saying whatever he said in this video.
@@claytonm4297 Makes sense. He has probably learned a fair bit of German and French in the time they've stayed in those countries. I know he had a home in southern France for awhile, and they were in Berlin several months making AB
