Everyone has their own opinion. At the end of the day a fan of a band that has experienced a real connection to the songs, will always want to see them live. Unfortunately if ur voice is ur instrument, you will be first to noticeably be declining in ability to perform. Again, in my opinion they are all great for their age.
Everyone is a zombie living life through their phones now. Don’t cheer or get too loud, you might shake the camera and mess the video up! Such a shame…
@@silentambition2080 I was giving my thoughts on why the atmosphere is dry as the OP said. And I’d much rather that (no videos to watch) be the case or wait for an official video release rather than having a dead atmosphere at every show I go to now, especially for a band like U2. I remember a time when Bono would yell at people for having their phone out instead of being present and engaged at the show. It’s just sad
@helegaran good luck telling anybody who spent $243 to $500 on seat 2 not have there thousand-dollar , 150 a month I phones out for their millions of viewers on Tik-Tok and RUclips
First song, first night and first band in this gig. Bono has never had less urgency. Their decline is something to behold. Never recovered from the laughably bad Get on Your Boots.
First few tracks had wonderful inspirational images. From around track 4 the images and the creativity behind the programming of the screen was dull, non creative and quite frankly utterly disappointing. Willie Williams is past his prime and Sphere has him stumped. What a lost opportunity.
We were there on the second night, and I tend to agree, the visual aspect definitely took a dip until the last 4 songs, at which point they were absolutely stunning again.
@@DaleKirkley cheers Dale .. I do think this is the last sting of a dying wasp for U2. Anyone who thinks "Larry is getting surgery" is the only reason for him sitting this out is living in a Dreamworld. It's over creatively speaking for the band. This was a conscious effort to "get the money" in for U2. The only thing that matters are the songs and since NLOTH it has been fucking awful. That's FIFTEEN years ago in 2024.
@@scottblack9213 I don't think they'll ever stop playing until something really serious stops them, kind of like all the older massive bands these days, look at The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, or Guns N Roses. They SHOULD stop touring, but they don't, partly "because money" and partly because playing live is a tough drug to quit. That said, personally I feel that "All That You Can't Leave Behind" was the last good album from U2. :)
How. Effing. Brilliant to have that massive cinder block looking wall break open to the opening guitar and drums of Zoo Station. Chills!!! 😱
Genius
Totally agree! Perfect way to start!

Is it me or was the atmosphere dry? when the band came out the fans were flat
