If you’ll ever want to make an medieval Poland or polish-Lithuania related stopmotion, then the torso that those rebels have, can be put backwards, and will look like polish knights’s armor. Btw amazing animation bro, keep up good work
Custom made, blank grey ovoid shields from bricklink with custom made stickers i found online. Printed them out on photo paper and and put a layer of tape on top for extra protection
hey, absolutely great stop-motion! Just wanna know, Where did you get those shields? I know those small ones with the way to hold in front or side but the long ones you use. Wehr'd you get 'em? The ones the spearmen use
I got it directly from the lego store. They had it as a pre built minifigure for a bit. not sure if you can still get it from there though. Best bet right now would be bricklink
Where do you get all the mini figures for this?? I've been looking into making a lego medieval diorama for a while but have just haven't really seen them on sale out there yet, I am probably just looking in the wrong places tho lol
Thank you! Thinking of taking a short break on the series and recreating a medieval battle. Right now im thinking about a part two of the battle of stamford bridge. But i haven’t 100% settled yet.
Im closing the contest today, so itll take me about a week or so. I also recently finished animating the next video and just have to finish the sound effects up. So im kinda juggling between the two
Hey I have a bunch of questions: 1. What fps is this? 2. Where’d you get all of the figures/weapons from? Especially those bows and arrows? 3. What does your setup look like? Thanks so much
Ill do a more in depth tutorial explaining how i do things after i complete this next portion of the black falcons mini series. But to answer your questions: 1) i film at 15 fps 2) most of it is the used marketplace, local and bricklink but mostly bricklink. For the bow and arrows i bought about 50 lego bows and chopped them up(rip lego pieces) so i can get unstrung bows and some loose arrows. 3) i use stop motion studio pro and my iphone camera. I believe its an iphone 12
Yeah i got a bit of a collection, a lot of it was accumulated slowly from sets, and used local marketplaces (Facebook & craigslist). But also brick link
@@Meli.Bauersfeld the plastic is pretty pliable, and not brittle at all. So if you use a box cutter you can get clean cuts without the plastic breaking
How have you created the viking shields? It's some kind of stickers, or you have painted directly on the bricks? I'm asking because I need something similar.
Bricklink would be your best bet. Sometimes they go on sale on the lego pick a brick website but it goes out of stock fast and the shipping times are even longer
Thanks! My advice would be to try to animate the minifigures as best you can in comparison to real life movements (keeping some concepts like winding up/momentum in mind). For example when a guy is gonna hit someone with an axe, he needs to put power behind it so it can do any damage. The person will bring the axe above his head and hold that for a split second(or a few frames if animating with minifigures) before bringing the axe down on his victim. Another thing is more frames does not equal better animation. With lego i find my sweet spot is either 12 fps or 15 fps because anything more and my videos will take even longer to make😂. Everyone has there own styles and different frame rates work better for different people. Best of luck! I saw some of your videos and i like what i see so far
@@brickdominion1406 thank you! I did a test sword fight on 15 fps and I actually ENJOYED animating it for the first time in a while. I also tried moving the camera with the sword and getting some unique angles. I think it turned out great thank you for the great advise, I found it really helpful.
Haha definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed😂. Looking back i didnt do a great job of showing it(i cut some footage because it didnt look good) but the ladders were a sort of decoy so they could setup the anchor/rope/pulley system for the siege tower. The king definitely doesn’t care too much for human life though.
I liked the joke when he said that many of the soldiers were too old to fight, the camera turned to vintage Black Falcon minifigs
Haha happy you caught that😂

this is awesome thx
Thanks! That means a lot! You’ve been a huge source of inspiration for me
Absolutely epic. Maybe the best medieval battle I have seen in Lego
Wow that means a lot! Thanks
This was incredibly well done! One of the few animations that uses real Medieval Combat strategies!
Thanks i appreciate it! Hard to translate lots of details to lego but i did my best
This is amazing and absolutely well done. However the Vikings would have been fucking destroyed after charging into a shield wall
I love the historical tactics used.
Sooooo good! The screen at 2:46 looks so slick!!
Thanks!
This had no right being as good as it is. And we are even blessed with part 2 the storming of the castle!
Part three is gonna be even better🤌
Love the idea of Vikings verse blacknfalcons
I've been looking for good medieval lego battles after memorizing every frame of brictator's battles
Lol the guy is a legend, makes sense
Relatable
This is a war level, like the first war between Goguryeo and Tang Dynasty.
I loved those custom sheilds
Thanks!! Took a minute to put together but i think it was worth it
Sick job
What was hard work! Really good video!
good, yes very good. however the king is just like hmmmmm yes and a soldier is having his intestines fall out
