    The Georgia Aquarium has done it again! They went above and beyond to blow our minds with a one a kind attraction: SHARKS! Predators of the Deep. Part of a 100 million dollar expansion that brings you face to face with some of the ocean's most feared apex predators. The country's only Silver-Tips, Sand Tigers, Great Hammerheads, and the nation's only inland TIGER SHARKS. There may be scary music and a lot of teeth, but the Predators of the Deep was made to give you a fresh perspective of these misunderstood animals. Using the most informative, interactive, and technologically advanced graphics I've ever seen, you'll quickly learn that we are a far greater threat to them than they are to us. By the end of the gallery, the aquarium hopes that your FEAR will turn into FASCINATION. Enjoy!

    Astounding just like Coney Island's New York Aquarium in Brooklyn, New York. In my opinion, both Coney Island's New York Aquarium in New York & Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia are extraordinary especially 🦈 Exhibits.

    Okay, this is probably hands down the best Shark exhibit I've ever seen in the world. It looks amazing and huge. Actually that's an understatement. It's HUMONGOUS. The shark species there are also eye catching and unique.
    Imagine if one day we can finally exhibit Great Whites and other Pelagic sharks without any problems. That would be a dream come true.

    • @its_ezralol
      @its_ezralol 3 года назад +3

      It would take millions of dollars to be able to hold Great white sharks and several other pelagic sharks.That’s because it would so much money to get all that water and bringing the shark already cost money.The tank needs to be big.So it’s not happening anytime soon.But a Narwhal in an aquarium would be a dream to see.

      In a perfect world, yes they would be amazing to see but god it would need to be so big that it would dwarf the ocean voyager exhibit and it would cost so much money to keep them fed. And very dangerous tanks to clean

    I actually visited the Georgia Aquarium two weeks ago, so of course I had to see this. It's not everyday you get to see Greater Hammerheads and Tiger Sharks. It was a challenge for me to get some pictures because the lighting, but getting a chance to be there was rewarding enough! Two thumbs WAY up!!!

    GREAT Video. My only issue with the exhibit is how much they have hassled me carrying my D-SLR without a flash attached that you can not use flash or take flash photography in the area yet people with cell phone are allowed to shine their light into the tank and flash off of their flash on their phone and an employee a few feet from them will say nothing and then a few minutes later remind me no flash photography is allowed in this area. On an average walk though the exhibit I must have been stopped 3 to 4 times including at the main entry. They need to enforce the same rules for everyone.

    I find it incredibly distracting up look up and see all of the lights. The Audubon Aquarium did a great job in hiding that with jets that disrupt the surface of the water. Things like that shouldn't stand out so much in an exhibit.

    Just saying but I would love to see you tour the kingdom of the night exhibit at the Omaha zoo and the reason is because you can see blind cave fish and an albino alligator which is one of less than 15 in the world but you can also see beavers, aardvarks, the fossa which is the main predator of the lemurs of Madagascar and you can also see a lot of bats, greater bushbaby, springhare, Porcupines, Armadillos, echidna, wallaby, both common and Alligator snapping turtles, naked mole rat, Freshwater crocodiles and the Gar fish but I would also love to see you tour the Asian highlands exhibit because like when I went there last week I was amazed by it with its animals like Tiger, sloth bear, red panda, muntjac, crane, tufted deer, snow leopard, takin, Goral but my favorite part of the Asian highlands exhibit is an exhibit home to the Père David’s deer and the Indian rhino and I loved the exhibit because they had a baby rhino recently.

    So how well do Tiger Sharks do in captivity? It’s rare to see requiem sharks in captivity... let alone a tiger or bull shark.

    • @themotions5967
      @themotions5967 3 года назад +1

      I know both species are reported to live within their full average lifespans in human care however tiger sharks are much more difficult to care for than bulk sharks so luckily they are at the largest and quite possibly most advanced AZA non profit aquarium in the country.
      Luckily as part of the AZA if they notice the animals aren’t doing well for any reason they will always have the opportunity to relocate them to a facility that specializes in requiem shark care and conservation. In fact a facility like that is likely where they got the animals you see here in the first place
      It’s probably a joint effort between some field facility and Georgia to not only raise some of these animals up to a healthy adult age, but to help marine biologist and Aquarist learn to care for these animals long term, as well as maybe even attempt a breeding effort.

    Just saying but I understand what threat we are to sharks but I mean like I am still sort of scared of sharks like the great white, mako, bull and tiger shark but I am mostly scared of the bull great white and mako shark and I am scared of the bull and great white sharks because when the nations of Europe were fighting ww1 3 attacks took place off the shore of New Jersey and one in a creek but these were not u boat attacks these were shark attacks and the attacks began on July 1st 1916 right off of Long Beach island when Charles vansant a resident of Philadelphia pa and his family went on vacation and before dinner Charles and his Chesapeake bay retriever went into the water but then Charles started yelling because a shark Bit him but the most infamous and famous of the shark attacks took place on July 12 at matawan creek where two victims died and the attack is famous because it was what inspired writer Peter Benchley to write a novel that would become to be known as Jaws. But I am scared of the mako because it is the fastest shark in the world but even though the whale shark is bigger than the great white shark I am not afraid of it or the basking shark or the megamouth shark and I am not afraid of them because they eat plankton but I am also not scared of bamboo sharks because I have touched one.

      If the place is far from my hometown then I make it my goal to film every square inch. With timing, battery life, and lack of luck seeing animals, this has yet to happen. But it does give me a reason to visit again. Overall, I never film just one area at a time.

    Also, 4:47: I’m sorry, but that is one of the STUPIDEST things I’ve ever heard! I can’t think of a more shallow reason to not want to see ANY animal, much less the rare and magnificent wolverine! Who the hell cares what university you’re from?! It’s not that important, especially when visiting a zoo or aquarium! You’re there to see animals and appreciate wildlife, not feud over which college is better!
    On top of that, I thought the answer was surely going to be because the wolverines are always asleep.
