Hate it when cars are destroyed simply because the owner fails to take care of them. A lot of brands are seen as unreliable- this is simply because those people actually cannot take care of them!
@@raptunoc787 Exactly, just because Jeep has a history of having indestructible cars in the mid 20th century doesn't mean they're indestructible. The demise of this engine was probably due to owner negligence considering those 4 liter Jeep inline 6's are known as not only one of the best inline 6's(second only to the Ford 4.9) but they are some of the best engines in general ever made, period.
I've had a lot of good luck with inline sixes over the years (Ford 300, Chevrolet 250, Chrysler 225 slant, and International Harvester "Black Diamond"). Simple to work on, and ran forever. I've been watching a few of these blown engine videos, how does one blown the engine? I've seen people pour crap into it attempting to destroy it, but aside from that how else can you blow it?
Funny you say that "its a jeep, what did you think was gonna happen" Mine is over 173,000 miles and its still going, drove from NC to Fl 3 times and to Nj once. So I guess thats your opinion then?
Not trying to be rude but im not a fan of diesel's in regular vechiles you have to drive, in big 18 wheelers I can understand and maybe the H1 Hummer, but that might be part of your problem. Ive never liked diesel engines, they cause to much problems.
WildWhiteFang I have a toyota Hilux that is a diesel and its the most reliable car I have every had. the jeep , the parts are costing alot , the filters are great and clog up fast. The new parts don't last. the Jeep when running its fine but the body is weak and the engine uses poor quality metals
Huh might have something to do with the deisel engine in the Jeep, both your Jeep and Toyota have different diesel motors dont they? Its either that, or then the Libertys must be the rotten apples of the Jeep brand. My GC is fine the only thing i need is an ABS motor pump, and a rear main seal.
Yeah oil pressure around 80 psi means span or worn out rod or main bearings (probably both) becuase the metal gets ethier moved infront of or ground into the oil passage ways and blocks off oil flow, thats way once and engine spins a bearing or grinds down a bearing to where the metal melts over the oil hole, not matter how much oil is added to the motor it will still grind up that bad bearing and ultimately throw a rod out the block or lock up...
How do you blow that engine? I had a 1991 Jeep Cherokee with that same engine. It had over 350,000 miles on it before the wiring on the inside caught fire. Engine still ran fine after that. Hard to kill an inline six.
I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with over 225000 miles. It runs well, but every 4 to 5 months something breaks and costs me $100+. Overall a good vehical.
There were only 2 of the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s on this channel, one Jeep Grand Cherokee has a blown engine and the other one was in better condition but the same color on the outside and has a sunroof
either way the parts are costing 10 times what they cost in the US. Timing belts here are $395 + 4 x head valves + 4 x rocker arms + Head gasket+Head Bolts = $10750 and then there is Labour on top
@autodude6 Check engine lights usually only come on when ECM detects an anomalous reading from one of the engine sensors, due to it either failing or detecting a problem. If all the sensors are fine and not detecting anything unusual, then the light won't come on. Then again, judging by how bad the engine is vibrating, the ECM should at least be throwing a code for a misfire. But if it doesn't have knock sensors it might not know the difference.
i want to buy jeep with high mileage about 110k+ becuase i dont think will be able to afford to get a new on, or low mileage atleast.. my question is are jeeps those kind of cars that can run high mileage?
This car was not maintained properly. On the engine head, there is a tube that is cut off. it is the rocker arm lubrication tube and without it, the oil will not lube the bearings in the head and will leak out. One of the rods are snapped and you most likely have a hole on the side of your engine. The engine is toast, you should swap it for an SCB v8 powerstroke turbo engine.
Sounds like your oil needs a new engine
ARE YOU OK
🤣🤣🤣
Matt Slater The engine noise sounds more like a mechanical fart to me. 🤣

It gives the fuel pump multiple opportunities to build pressure when the battery is weak. Pumping the gas pedal is the oddball maneuver.

Funny you say that "its a jeep, what did you think was gonna happen" Mine is over 173,000 miles and its still going, drove from NC to Fl 3 times and to Nj once. So I guess thats your opinion then?
WildWhiteFang we have a diesel liberty and its been nothing but trouble. the engine is good but the injectors and electrical hardware are so delicate
Jeeps are just shit cars right after the XJ models.
SJ models and willys jeeps were good cars
this is sad i grew up riding in one of these but those chimes bring back some memories!
Have you tried adjusting your rear mirror? that must be the reason..
dangg, were u ok in that crash? how bad was the damage?
How do you blow that engine? I had a 1991 Jeep Cherokee with that same engine. It had over 350,000 miles on it before the wiring on the inside caught fire. Engine still ran fine after that. Hard to kill an inline six.
I bought an 02 durango with a blown engine :p. Awesome car. Rebuilt it and ran great since
so what do you buy and sale these stuff is it your car or are you just fixxing it
I have a '94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with over 225000 miles. It runs well, but every 4 to 5 months something breaks and costs me $100+. Overall a good vehical.
when you get by the engine, it sounds like a 1960s motercycle! LOL
There were only 2 of the 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s on this channel, one Jeep Grand Cherokee has a blown engine and the other one was in better condition but the same color on the outside and has a sunroof
Jeeps aren't crap if you take care of them, my 04 Grand Cherokee has 79,000 miles and I've had no problems at all since I bought it brand new
Chrysler is amazing, our Ram had a blown head gasket and we drove it from Tallahassee to Pensacola without any problems!
@TheNoble650 what's the top speed?
please reply
either way the parts are costing 10 times what they cost in the US. Timing belts here are $395 + 4 x head valves + 4 x rocker arms + Head gasket+Head Bolts = $10750 and then there is Labour on top
WOW where do you live? a manifold gasket PLUS labor for our ford windstar is 500 US dollars. the set is 65 US dollars without labor.
Put the battery back in? Why did you take it out?
@autodude6 Check engine lights usually only come on when ECM detects an anomalous reading from one of the engine sensors, due to it either failing or detecting a problem. If all the sensors are fine and not detecting anything unusual, then the light won't come on.
Then again, judging by how bad the engine is vibrating, the ECM should at least be throwing a code for a misfire. But if it doesn't have knock sensors it might not know the difference.
It is funny when he says to the Jeep: I hate you....... so much
I always thought that sound was normal for a jeep. What are you taling about?
i want to buy jeep with high mileage about 110k+ becuase i dont think will be able to afford to get a new on, or low mileage atleast.. my question is are jeeps those kind of cars that can run high mileage?
5:40 That crank sounds like how my old classmate laughed 😆😂🤣
How long is this been sitting?
This car was not maintained properly. On the engine head, there is a tube that is cut off. it is the rocker arm lubrication tube and without it, the oil will not lube the bearings in the head and will leak out. One of the rods are snapped and you most likely have a hole on the side of your engine. The engine is toast, you should swap it for an SCB v8 powerstroke turbo engine.
this makes me want to cry. this is the same jeep I have and it hurts trying to watch this.
