That’s a Beeman airgun from England.
What a great pistol!! I owned the Wembley version a few years ago. It was fantastic for indoor shooting in winter due to the adjustable power levels. The adjustable foresight is set for 6 and 10 meter distances and you flip it accordingly to you chosen distance eliminating the need to adjust the rear sight each time you change disciplines. A brilliant bit of engineering thought! I would buy another at the drop of a hat but at the moment wifey is monitoring my collection and would disapprove!
Great video again, see you next week! Keep safe....
Good vid as allways, i bought the webly branded electo about 4 years back and dont regret it at all, it got me back into air gunning again.
Im happy with my zoraki. Ive got it in april 2012. And its still outstanding 👍
I have had one for about 2yrs. Accuracy is superb. Very loud. Have used it for rats without an issue. Great for plinking and target work.
I have a 450 fps CO2 bb pistol that kills mice to 20ft. Those are 5.4gr so the energy is 2.4 ft-lbs.
Your pistol should work well with 1 or 2 pumps. Wish mine had your accuracy.
@@artsmith103 move to a .177 or .22 pellet and shoot around 5ftlbs of energy 👍 bbs are for fun pellets are for accuracy and killing I recommend a modified crosman 2240 or 1377 or a weihrauch hw45 if your adamant on pistols, if not buy a 12 ftlbs rifle and never look back lol
@@MDM1992 The point is, 2.4 ft-lbs kills mice. I don't think anything you listed could confirm that.
I have the .22 version and it's very impressive. I find it extremely accurate and sure packs a punch. The first time i used it, using beer cans as a target, I thought I was missing every time (most unlike me). Upon inspection, it revealed that the pellets were going straight through. In fact the first shot had pinned it to the railway sleeper behind it, hence it was not moving with subsequent shots. Upgraded to a baked been tin (which is considerably thicker) and the pellet also went straight through and out the other side at a distance of approx. 10M. This is a great pistol.
I love it when a review changes my mind on something! I had a bit of a prejudice coming into this, thinking that multi-pump pneumatics are all a bit old hat, ... but then it hit a very usable 2.66 ft.lbs after the first stroke, and after that I was along for the ride.
I bought a Beeman P17 to shoot in my garage, turned out to be my favorite airgun.
You don't need high power for target pistol, you need consistent power, the same velocity each time. Under 400fps is sensible. There comes a point where excess gas going through the barrel disturbs the pellet in flight. And then there is heating, the more a gas is compressed the hotter it gets, which leads to inconsistencies. A compression pistol or spring pistol often take a few shots to warm them up before they come on-song.
I like to see different types of guns. Thank you. Stay safe everyone and enjoy your weekend.
This thing is 100% AWSOME in everyway.
I always enjoy your pistol reviews.......more please!!!
Thanks Andy great review, wanted to see this one in Your hands for a long time. hats of to Mrs AAR :D
I have 2 of these and they're gorgeous! I've no stock, yet, mostly because you can't put a laser on it, under the front, with the shoulder stock on it.
Three pumps is a swine to bring back home, though. I've only once tried it on 3 pumps, for that reason. On that 3-pump shot, the pellet hit a block of wood, bounced back at me and embedded itself in my chest, THROUGH my shirt. I needed tweezers and a darning needle to get it out of the flesh on my chest, and a shirt was thrown away.
I think that the metal-hair brush should be switched, though, to a nylon bristle brush - repeated use of the metal brush could cause trouble with the barrel's inner smoothness...it's hard to say, for sure. I just bought my own nylon stiff brushes and used those, instead.
(A left hand grip, and an ambidextrous grip, are available, but you could be hunting for a long time for at least one of those.) The quoted price in the video, of £275, was precisely what I paid for each of my babies...I love them. So would you!
Hi Andy good bit of kit , and Mrs AAR is 1 hell of a good shot , great video mate , thanks ( Ivan )
Nice review, Thank you Andy.
Nice change of pace review! Thanks Andy!!
I really enjoyed this review, and the pistol was way better than I was expecting it to be. Great shooting by both you and Mrs AAR!!
I have a Webley Alecto, loved it for years. Has only ever needed some new seals and still shoote straight! I have a red dot, a mil dot sight, a custom moderator and also the overpriced Zoraki stock. I love this pistol and wouldn't sell or swap it for anything else out there. It's a versatile tool or easy fun...
The stock is pricy, but it makes long distance plinking more fun.
Had my .177 Webley Alecto for around 7 years now. Still performing well.
Decades ago I had a 1 pump pistol that cocked slide up and forward. It broke after a year, maybe 300 shots. It looked great, and easily took down pigeons at 25-35 feet, which is what was needed back then.
This pistol looks pretty decent. If I were a youngster, and wanted to shoot in the backyard (city), that might be cool. You could put in in your backpack, and ride to your pals with it much easier than a rifle. That ergonomic grip has the same lines as the pistol I had back around 1987-1998. Beeman made one also, and it was like the one you have shown. The Beeman worked better, and lasted longer.
I bought one of these two days before lockdown (my first airgun, at 61!). It's a great tool for someone learning the ropes while tied to the home for three months. Great video...loving the advice.
Careful now, this is how addictions start! I started with one of these and four years later I've spent, err........ Let's just say a lot! This is a great starter gun and if you do your research, get some hands-on experience and look for quality items you'll probably never regret a purchase.
I have a short (!) list prepared, with a co2 pistol and pcp rifle heading my way shortly.
@@robinturner4913 Nice. What might they be if you don't mind me asking? I've had an Air Arms hft 500 PCP rifle for years. The Air Arms PCP's are good but I'm thinking of trading up to an Anschutz.
@James Neil. A Gamo pcp. Was to be a GX40 but Andy’s review of the Coyote changed my mind. A Hill pump to feed it will keep me fit alongside the Zoraki.
@@robinturner4913 A friendly word of advice about stirrup pumps in case you didn't know. The air they produce is not as dry as the air from a diving/gun tank. It's worth having your gun serviced at a gun shop each year to ensure condensation hasn't built up & corroded the rifle's cylinder.
You shouldn't have any problems as your pump appears to have a built-in dryer but it's always best to check. 3000 PSI in a rusty tank isn't a good! My Air Arms owner's manual mentioned stirrup pumps in the maintenance section.
Hi there i have the webley alecto mk3, with the tool to unscrew the end of the barrel for the "moderator", thats meant for it so it fits perfectly in the cut out in the case. It doesnt really moderate it that much though and still puts out a hell of a crack. I actually put a air arms moderator over it "push fit" style and that works well, i just unscrewed one side of it and there you go, i just slide it off when puttin it away. When i first picked it up i thought "wow its like a plastic desert eagle copy or something. Its chunky though but doesnt look that powerful at all and was left rather underwhelmed. That is so far from the truth, when you put some pellets through it. This bad boy is no joke. Its a powerhouse surrounded with ballistic polymer and very accurate as well, they state recoiless but i do get a slight bit of muzzleflip at 3 pumps. The open sights are great although i put a nano lazer on the weaver rail underneath for kicks really. I have small hands but the whole of the grip and even trigger are completely adjustable, even being able to turn the trigger blade so that you can nestle your finger into it, almost like you are wearing it. I have had mine for around 5 years now with no issues although i look after by cleaning the barrel with the included barrel brush and oil the valve and piston seals with pellgun oil which even has tiny holes where you drop the oil into. Just a drop or 2 every couple of months even when not using it. Mine likes a diet of. 177 rws superpoints or bisley magnums and crosman flatheads for paper punching but it also likes h&n prometheus excites and thunderbolts if you want to punch through something. They all perform well. It would be very capable and up for tasks at close range up to 10metres, but no further. But you can reach alot further for target work. All the best from lancashire.
Looks great and with variable power very handy Andy 👍
I have the Webley Alecto MarkV version in 2.2. Excellent gun!
It was also marketed as the Webley Alecto, /Zoracki HP01, I have the 0.177 and 0.22 as Alecto’s briallant when used with a laser, or small holographic red dots, mine are both used and branded as Webleys, costing a lot more 4 years ago, both faultless, as is my Webley Tempest, all very well made Tempest is Birmingham, Alectos Turkish built. nice all of them.great video superb shooting Mrs AAR .
Awesome review, best I’ve seen yet
I had the Webley Alecto version of this gun about ten years ago, nice gun but the third pump works the muscles.
@Ian Mangham atleast you tried!
I knew it as the Webley Alecto too.
So it's a 10 year old pistol. Rebadged.
Similar to the Sharp Innova now wears a Webley badge.
@@sahhull webley don't actually make anything themselves anymore, just a brand owned by a parent company
As always, a great review. By the way, you can add a silencer by unscrewing the front cap/thread protector, buying an adaptor and a silencer to fit the adaptor. take care in choosing the silencer as 'one size fits all' does not work here. I have had this gun for over a year now an have a scope on it, wonderful fun.
I bought a one about a month ago, got a moderator made for it, excellent bit of kit
Mrs AAR can definitely shoot👍
You can also put a suppressor on this by unscrewing the cap at the front with the tool provided. It'll need an adapter if it didn't come with one, for 1/2 unf, but you can find those on ebay. Stocks are available too but a bit pricey. Also barrels are interchangeable if you can find them. There's extended barrels too, however it will probably push it past the power limit hence why they don't sell the long barrel version here.
I started with the Webley version of this pistol. I think it's better than the gamo equivalent. I now have a £1300 PCP match pistol but I would absolutely recommend the Webley/Zoraki to any beginner.
It looks like a desert eagle so that's a good reason to get it if the sights, grip, safety, trigger & price didn't have you convinced.
Steyr, Morini, Pardini, Feinwerkbau, Walther & Tesro will wipe the floor with this thing any day but considering what you get for the price it's a highly respectable choice for beginners.
This is my favourate gun , its the most fun pick up and shoot pistol. I own two other high powered PCP guns and i always go for this gun because of its simplicity and Accuracy , I have used it for shooting rats and birds it works perfect for anything out to 20m . I do own the non uk version .
I had a real job trying to find a pair of scope mounts for mine, as for some daft reason there is only one slot on the rail, I eventually found a pair on ebay though they were only sold as single mounts. It moderates well if you fit an adaptor and is almost silent on one pump. The lower rail is where the optional shoulder stock clamps onto, which would make it very useful for close range pest control, though they're expensive and a bit fragile.
Its a Great gun, I love mine. laser accurate.
Mrs AAR on air is a great shot 👌
Here in the US, I have a 177 cal air rifle made by Swiss Arms . If I use crosman penetrators , it will hit 1300- 1425 fps. It would easily kill large game. Its accuracy is very impressive considering that the scope is a relatively low cost but well made 100 yard scope. Try it out, I'd like to see your reaction to that kind of power.
Great review. This could be the replacement to my HW45.
Thanks for sharing
Nice shooting, Mrs AAR!
I have one in 177 Its very accurate and powerful but I've had reliability issues and problems with the gun straight out of box when new , sometimes it will not fire no matter how many pumps you give it and the open sights were shooting very high even when lowered to the max .
Always enjoy
Nice little change Andy, 👍.
Great fun that you and your wife share interests ❤ Really enjoy your reviews, thank you!
Great pistol , love to shoot with it , one of my favourites !
I've got the Webley Alecto version of this, in .20. Great pistol for long range plinking. I got the Zoraki shoulder stock for it which makes long range shots even easier.
Where did you get the shoulder stock Jim, looking for one.
I bought it at a gun shop in Cornwall, just outside Camelford. Can't remember the name of the place.
At long last a "target" video. Air weapons have millions of variations other than just middle aged man sized PCP hunting rifles and bullpups. Its about time we had a video on a target work devices. You could do a video explaining say paper target guns from beginner basics and entry level cheap to medium to high end to full blown para olympic level. Why not bring someone to the table with their. British Para shooting has players all over the UK and you could get one of them in to show off their air pistol/rifle as part of that video. Hell even a bell target rifle could get thrown in to the mix. you have done an intro into rifles and co2 and pistols. Why not a "how to start"in target shooting at home. Thats going to push people towards clubs and thats not a bad thing for any sport. Even throw in a paper target review at the same time. Been a long time since we went down range rather than large wallet up range.
Love the videos and your hard work, biggest supporter and thorn in your side. As every deepest regards Pete
That sounds like a fantastic idea indeed.
Couldn't agree with you more. I've been target shooting for 4 years, it's my life's passion and I've acquired some top-tier equipments over the years. RUclips seriously lacks genuine reviews and comparisons of top-tier target rifles and pistols. We need to push for this kind of content.
looks like some people had questions that never got answered.
its available in both left and right handed versions. and there is also a stock for it.
theres also a more powerful Ultra version.
and yes, you can also add a moderator/silencer
I love my one of these
I have an Ultra in .22 that hits ~10 fpe. It loves 5.52mm headsize JSB Exact Jumbo Heavies. I have the stocknon it and a Picateeny adaptor rail. With a UTG 1-7×44 scout rifle scope. I can shoot 1 hole groups at 25 yards. Outside in the wind. These guns have amazing accuracy. They deserve the trouble required to mount a scope.
Very nice grouping from the both of you, not too shabby, Please pass my comment on to Mrs AAR, stay safe.
tuned my alecto to do 5.8ft/lbs with 2 pumps and drop to 4 ft/lb on 3 pumps with alecto ultra barrel and weihrauch silencer, stock and 2-7x32 p.a scope
An AWESOME pistol. Don't hesitate to buy one. Even better with the red dot and moderator - I would love to be able to get a shoulder stock for it.
Another great review Andy & very timely, i was looking only earlier in the week about getting one of these ,i do know there is a longer barrel version as well, but am unable to find out any info if is available in the UK,keep up the great work.
Hi Andy Just discovered your channel - great stuff and very informative
Welcome aboard!
I love zoraki. Have with 5.5 mm longer barrel. So you may find movies on how to make more joules.
the accuracy certainly opened my eyes, not cheap, but if pistols were my thing (they`re not)!, I`d certainly consider one of those.
The fac or out of UK version of thus gun work get on pest at short ranges and there plenty of video proof of it. The longer barrel version is quick accurate once broken in. Also there is suppressor adaptors for this pistol too.
Another great review from Mr and Mrs AAR... I'm sorely tempted!

Fantastic review, actually owned the webley version of this gun when it first came out. The internals were black back then and neither calibre could be moderated. Inspired by andys review i just had to get my hands one so i purchased my zoraki in .22 today. It all came flooding back when i opened the box, only £229 new in my area of the uk. Shockingly accurate for the money, and what a fantastic trigger. No one seems to have mentioned you get larger front and rear sight blades in the box which for me are a lot sharper . But the front then doesnt flip between 10 and 20 metre setting. That said i would put a decent red dot on it at the larger distances (with my eye sight lol). One thing that i did remember from my webley was that in one sence you cant put it down but literally you end up with blisters off the polymer so you have to put it down, wish i bought it before lock down.
I entirely agree with your comments about not using it for pest control but it would be good for delivering the very close range "coup de grace" for pests caught in a trap etc. on 2-3 pumps.
You shoot animals that are already trapped?
Nolan Cass
If I’ve got a squirrel in a wire cage trap I get it up into a corner and pop it off with a pellet straight into the head. I see no problem with that.
Roger Kent I thought the purpose of trapping an animal was to release it in lieu of hunting it. And why not skip the extra work and just hunt them with the pistol?
@@mrepicpant In the UK air rifles are restricted to 12 ft lbs unless held on an FAC. Air pistols are restricted to 6 ft lbs. This means that air pistols are not really powerful enough for humane hunting. If you trap an animal that is classed as an invasive specious, grey squirrel, mink etc, it is illegal to release it back into the wild so they must, by law, be humanely despatched, hence why I thought that this pistol would be suitable for this purpose.
Thanks, great video.
What do you consider the minimum ft-lb for small vermin control? A few touching-6ft-lb pistols exist that seam to try to sit in the space (HW45 for example).
W0t? No mention that it used to be called the Webley Alecto?
I know a lot of uk rfd don't know its even called ZARAKI yet

You sound like the opening segment of The Monty Python Show (look up the link above)
I was expecting Andy to blow a Raspberry and a large cartoon foot to stomp in from the top of the screen : -)
Great video, this pistol has potential as a club training option. It would have been helpful in the video to have explained if dry firing is possible as in the same way as the Gamo Compact.
Just ordered this gun ,great video thanks 😊
Wonder can it be fitted with a silencer 🤔
I’ve got one absolutely brilliant pistol the type you accessorise I’ve shoot loads of rats with mine but only in close up.. I had a green laser and a red lamp mounted above and below worked a treat nice review👍👍👍
Can you please do a review on a rws rapier 2 shot if you can find one thanks billy
Have this with a red dot finder - highly accurate. Only annoyance is this version will not take a moderator, and the Zoraki does bark a bit.
I think you can get threaded barrels, can't say where from though, I was a long time ago that I looked.
wblanks.we can turn LW barrels for this gun and port them. We have .22 blanks ready to turn and port.. We can thread the barrel to 1/2-20 so you can put your mod right one without an adaptor... We only have .22 blanks no .177s. The stock barrels arent the most pretty things inside so they tear up pellets pretty good im sure... You will have a threaded barrel and a much more capable barrel. We have done barrels for about 50 of them over the past year when we my husband and I bought us one each... There is a couple people on GTA forums that do it as well... Price per barrel is pretty good, barrels are lathe turned down to fit then squared up on breech and ported anx deburred, slightly polish the lead, then square the muzzle end and cut a 11 degree target crown, thread the barrel. Our barrels are 12 groove LW blanks that have been lapped to a near mirror finish down the bore.
If intrested inbox me and we can go from there. If your local to north easy Florida your more then welcome to swing by and we will make the barrel and install it for you (installation is very simple and quick.)
You can expect 30y accuracy (JSB 14.3s or 15.89s are almost always the pellets it shoots best with our barrels) scoped to be 10 shot groups that are .4 to .5 inch, with stock barrels they normally groups 10 in around 1 to 1.25 inch at 30.
Can you review the co2 pistol xp9 by Umarex and the Umarex sa9 pistol as a versus or individual review and also the Gamo pt-85. When you film the videos can you make sure there is a full action on how it works eg reloading shooting and then reloading again. Thanks great videos.
it's a great pistol , done some great videos with it , if you truley want to see it's accuracy , watch the new pellets new limits video
This is a damn fine pistol. Seen it also in .22, renamed, and with a longer barrel. Would not mind owning one, but since mostly into the co2 replicas myself and not being a target marksman, the €69 single stroke Beeman P17 is enough for me - or at least for the time being..😁
I knew this pistol 10 years ago as the Webley Alecto.
Hi guys great program,I have bought pistols just because of your recommendation ie sa10 and more,I am thinking about getting a Seneca Aspen pcp,I’m not rolling in money but it seems to be a good self contained rifle,if you have done a review on it could you point me in the right direction, I’m a 67 year old shooter just vermin control and target plinking the rifle I have is a FWB sporter beautiful I won’t be getting rid of her she was the rifle I couldn’t afford when I was a lot younger. Ps give my best to mrs AAR Gary Graham
Reminds me of the HW40. Lovely looking bit kit.
As well as a Beeman P3 and for 1/10 the cost, Beeman P17
@@richardrosenau9292 Hey there friend! I was just about to say the same thing.
@@AmericanDefender Howdy AD, glad you seen this video. Awesome little pellet stacker
@@richardrosenau9292 the HW40 and Beeman P3 are the same gun, both made in Germany by Weihrauch, the P17 is made in China. Weihrauch won't put their name on anything Chinese, Beeman aren't so fussy.
It's a lot chunkier than the Weihrauch/Beeman, and it'll produce similar power on just one pump, on three pumps it'll blow the HW40/P3 out of the water. I own a Webley Alecto and a HW40, both are great guns in their own way.
Great Overview...wonder what happened to the "Alecto" Webley version? The Pistol also has an after market silencer adapter and longer barrel option which would increase velocity and would then likely need an FAC. TW Chambers appears to provide spare parts.
The Alecto and the HP01 are the same gun, made in the same factory, just branded different. I think the owners of webley had a disagreement with Zoraki over sales regions, the Zoraki being cheaper.
Reminds me of an FAS from the 80s👍🏻
No.. Not even slightly similar.
The FAS was better built and the sight line was lower.
Thank you for this brilliant review. Is the Webley version of this pistol Turkish or UK made?
Can you use this for vermin control??? A DEFINITE YES with the shoulder stock on and telescopic sights
The Gamo Compact behind you is there a video on that? or one in the future?
Really just looks like an updated p17. I still love my $30 p17. Very accurate for a 30 buck pistol and its velocity is almost on par with this thing.
p17 does 560 fps?
@@appynoon not quite. It was over the stated fps though when i chronographed it. Pretty sure it was 450ish. Years ago but i know it was well over 400
This will match the P17 (HW40/P3) with one pump. I own a Webley Alecto (HP01) and a HW40.
@@billythepigeon7345 isn't the hw40 the exact same as p17? They look exactly the same with 160 dollar price difference. Never got that
I also said almost on par. Not the same as equal power
Try using a good suppressor, it fits on a threaded barrel, it is like a cat fart. There is no stock mod available unfortunately . Love my Alecto, never misses.

For "serious plinking" would you choose the HP-01 or Beeman P3/HW40?
The timing! Currently looking into the Zoraki HP-01 because I want it for some shooting at home. Thanks for the review!
One thing you missed. It is threaded for a silencer to take the bark away.
You can buy adapters on line just google it. Not backyard friendly without one
look into it a bit more i had a Webley Alecto years ago the mark 1 you could not fit a silencer but the mark 2 was threaded for one.
Mk 2 comes with a tool to take muzzle break off
@@paulcunniff4428 yes i was saying the mark 1 did not allow a silencer to be fitted so if these are the same to make sure that a silencer can be fitted
Pandemic or not, many of us may be considering putting together a basement air pistol range. It may be a great service to give a brief review of a few good candidates compared to the task and each other. Multiple pump pistols may be appropriate.
Nice gun. But after owning a cp2 you don't see the need for anything else for 20 meter or less target work. It's cheaper, comes with silencer and for the same money you can add a nice hawke scope. only thing i miss is more substantial grip in pistol format. Please tell me if I am wrong
The slide is very similar to Desert Eagle but with smaller safety lever.
Mrs AAR with a nice grouping... pistol competition next?
Are you going to make a video about the Gamo Compact?
you can get a cheap version of this that fires at 500fps ish on one pump. it doesnt have all the fancy grip and trigger but you can get them for about 60 quid
Got a link for this gun? I'm interested. Or a name?
This gun reminds me of a gun I saw on eBay for under 40$ called a Beeman P17. Honestly, if I was in the market for such a pistol it had very similar power and accuracy from the reviews and description. I wonder if they are the same “under the hood” so to speak.
The P17 is a great gun, I love mine. It's a single stroke pneumatic and the air pressure comes direct from the compression tube when fired. The Zoraki uses a separate tank in which to build pressure so that you can pump it more than once. My P 17 shoots at about 400fps with 7.9gr. and about 360fps with 8.3gr. Very accurate, too. Had it about 4 years and no issues. For the price, they're a no-brainer and I wish they made more like it!
They should make one in co2 big cartridge
Fascinating review... I’m not an air gunner of any history . I bought my first one a few months ago before moving to Spain.. just because I had a bit of land / space . A PP900 in .22 . After a around a dozen magazines I was achieving a slightly tighter group than I’ve just watched in a standing position at 10 M in the open air . I have no idea if that’s good or not or whether the gun is capable of more . I did dismantle the gun and clean and oil the trigger components as I felt mechanism wasn’t very smooth . Have you done a review of the PP 900 ?
Sorry I meant PP800
How much would this cost in US dollars? this pistol has the popping mechanism like a Beeman p17 but with the Beeman p17 you only get one pump
Beeman make a similar pistol without the fine trigger adjustment but it is quite a bit cheaper.
