    Regarding the "kintsugi/kintsukuroi" (graduate of Japanese studies here) - I commented this on the stream of her sentencing but I'll repeat it here too. She tried to sound smart by using the lesser known term for kintsugi - "kintsukuroi" - but she still managed to mispronounce that. This analogy was ridiculous and kinda on point since Boone failed to realise that the broken pieces of pottery are attached together by clay, resin, or lacquer with the gold either mixed in or dusted on top to appear prettier than it is. So she basically said "I am trying to appear better than I actually am."

      You can tell she's always looking for an argument when she wrote "Your wish for me to spend the rest of my life in prison" she twisted a nice comment the Judge made into a bad one - he sentenced her to life and then at the very end he said "I *wish* you the best of luck." which is very lovely to say (there are judges who literally end trials with "take them out of courtroom, put them in cuffs now," or straight up roast them during the sentencing remarks, Judge K did none of that) So Sarah took Judge K's politeness as a diss against her somehow?

    I seen a video where a woman (not Sarah, another person) went to police station and falsely reported her hubby abusing her (this was the first & only time she did this), and they realized she might be lying to get back at her hubby after an argument (she sounded just like Sarah Boone talking to police, being vague, etc).
    She showed them a video of tgeir argument on her phone, which showed HER being physically abusive towards him, so the police went to check in him - guess where he was? In bed asleep like Jorge always was.
    They arrested her, even though her husband begged them not to - they’d seen the abuse on her phone, so it was the State pressing charges against her, not her husband- but she was also charged because she falsely reported him to get back at him (they spent enough time with her to get her to admit that.
    The police involved were very smart, and this was in a community where there wasn’t a lot of crime, so they took their time and really investigated during the time she was there reporting it to them.
    She learned from the very beginning that she was not going to get away with falsely reporting her husband. Too bad Sarah Boone didn’t get arrested every time she did this - the police knew she was being vague and not telling the truth, and they could have arrested her for false reporting, multiple times. The only time they did arrest her was due to Jorge having physical signs of violence, but never for false reporting, when it was painfully obvious.

    I feel like I missed the part of the trail that proved Jorge caused the injuries to Sarah. Was there anything other than her accusations and his admissions? We’ve witnessed her lies, exaggerations and manipulation of the truth, she has zero credibility. We saw a video of her coaching him on what to say to a judge to get her out of trouble.
    Also, after everything we saw in rebuttal, it’s hard to accept that she was abused in any way. Even if Jorge did cause the injuries, it surely was in self defense. We are meant to believe that the man in the videos being berated and degraded while curled up in the floor is same man that beat her bloody and stabbed her?

    • @origamikiddo2625
      @origamikiddo2625 Месяц назад +13

      Yeah it was her word and police reports (which is again, her saying what happened vs what he says). I have a hard time taking everything as exactly how she tells it, seeing how very different she seems to take some things based off her letters and what we see. I know a person like that, it's like they are experiencing a different reality. Ruined many of their jobs, relationships with friends, family, kids and marriage. And what Sarah seems to not realize is that even if Jorge abused her and she was a victim of DV, her actions with the suitcase weren't a way to escape, cuz she didn't. She video taped him then went upstairs and was able to fall asleep. And her own videos show this because of how she is treating him and talking to him. And she accuses Judge K of abusing his power???

    • @doom4067
      @doom4067 Месяц назад +12

      No, and even his admissions are suspect. In their relationship neither of them would have remembered her drunken stumblings the next day. Wouldn't have been too difficult to convince him that he had done something.
      It sounds to me like she lost her keys and debit card a LOT and would blame him for it. She's not the type to accept any responsibility for her own actions.
      She told the jury that she lies under oath for personal gain.

    I still don't believe Jorge abused her. I believe SHE was the abuser. If you watch the videos, JORGE was the battered spouse not Sarah. If she was hurt, I believe Jorge was defending himself.

    Sarah, your beautifully-broken gold-repaired artwork isn't the same if you're deliberately breaking things. That's not art, that is vandalism and fakery. You're held together with fools' gold at this point.

    When she got her Discovery she barely looked at it. And managed to smuggle three boxes of paper in while the jail superintendent was on holiday. She was also given her own computer and hours to go through it. She barely opened a file. Just kept asking for more and more privileges until Owens took her case. I’m so glad she got life.and the Torres and Boone families start to heal.

    This letter solidified that Jorge did nothing to her. She accused the judge of also beating and choking her. It goes to anyone who doesn't do what she wants.

    I totally agree with your arguments about manslaughter. Had she kept a good lawyer and allowed that lawyer to plan the defence and then gone to court three years ago, that might have happened. She does not understand that unintentional does not mean justified.

      Sarah had so many means to maybe get out and see her retirement as a free woman, but her arrogance and insistence on playing the victim cost her her life. She completely shot her foot off when she tried to claim self-defence and opened the door to all that rebuttal evidence.

    I believe she would have been annoyed Judge K didn't bother to even address her as part of the sentencing. Think she would have felt that was owed to her.

      It probably pissed her off more than the actual sentence did. She accidently admits things from time to time. Her "never hit (me), no excuse" admits that she would constantly go at the people in her life hoping to get a reaction.

    Did anyone else notice she wrote: "Sarah Boone vs State of Florida" Arent criminal cases usually "State of _____ vs *defendant*" 🤔 wouldnt her name first imply she is 'going after' the state??
    Maybe she choose to do it that way specifically?? Maybe its nothing but she seems very calculated so I think it was specifically for a reason.

    • @doom4067

      Yes, and yes. She probably thinks that's how appeals work. She also thinks that the judge accused and convicted her, even though that was the state and jury, respectively. In close to five years she's learned nothing about how the legal system.

      @@doom4067I think she might want to try actually reading those legal books she’s so shamelessly quoting. She might just learn something.
