Did your car run normally while you had the paper clip as replacement for the sensor? Thinking about using mine with the paper clip while I order the sensor too
Yea could’ve left the paper clip in indefinitely
@@Jaxon1127 what you mean by that? You could leave the paper clip there for good??
My fan broke so I bought a new one, tried the paper clip but now passenger side won't spin🤷🏻

My fans are not coming on. I replaced the original R18 motor with a new one myself. I replaced the CTS switchs but still the fans aren't coming on. Replaced the thermostat and I think it's working properly since both hoses (top and bottom) get hot after a while. When I unplug both the switches when the car is running both fans will come on. However the temp Guage inside the car goes all the way to overheat in just a matter of seconds. Im almost 100% sure my radiator and fans are not grounded and this is what is causing my problem. Any chance to can kind of show me to where the grounds are of the fans and radiator? Mine is a 2008 honda civic ex. (R18) motor. I would think the fans would have the grounds in almost the same locations. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TiA.
Thank you sir good job!!!!

are both fans supposed to go on at the same time??? because on my car only the left one comes on.
Hey bro I checked it the same way my fan doesn't turn on for the cooling fan I wonder if it's the switch closer to the engine or my fan is done for it does come on by hand but struggles to stay on
Thank you Junior Martinez.

Yo le hice el cambio hoy. El sensor de temperatura y por el momento no se me calienta! Muchas gracias!
de nada amigo me da mucho gusto que le aya ayudado el video ayudanos a creecer y subscribete gracias
I changed the fan switch sensor I did the paper clip trick my fan works so I changed the temperature switch sensor still ain’t activating the fans ? U think it’s the plug it’s self
Are the fans for A/C & radiator separate? I know they sit side by side in same housing but if I need to replace only one fan can I just replace the broken fan or are they both connected & if I replace one I have to replace other? 2005 civic DX 1.7 SOHC
That’s a very good question you should be able to just replace one try it
Perfect appreciate you
Found the problem thanks

What do you mean run to full temperature set😱. I’m a instant new subscriber with this same car. I need all the help I can get . None of my windows roll down and my car runs hot if you don’t turn on the air conditioner. You made this look so easy except for the paper clip thing😖. Please help!
If your ac blows hot it means u may need a new ac compressor when u change the fan switch the fans wont kick on unless the car is on full temperature idle
Thanks bro
Ur welcome
Pregunta hize ese procedimiento en mi civic 2001 pero me esta fundiendo los fusibles que crees que pueda hacer
checkea bien los cables alguno esta asiendo corto o tocando tierra.
My fans are off and on. My dad tested it to correct operating temp to see if they came on and they did but I keep checking under the hood after a drive home when I notice it rises and they don’t come on when the car starts overheating. Think it might be the same problem?
It could be alot of thing my friend possibly a blown head gasket
Bro when I turn on my car the fans don’t spin and when I turn on the ac they do so I need a new fan switch ?
change it is only 25 dollars dont cheap out on ur car...
thank you
Your welcome don’t forget to subscribe and like the video much love
can a bad temperature switch cause over heating? if the fans arent kicking in?
yes these sensors dont last no more than 50 to 70k miles
So my 2002 Honda Civic coupe I got my temperature sensor and Thermostat change and it’s still over heating when I’m idling like it don’t do it at first but the longer I keep it on it get hotter
Check see if ur fans are working
Good video brother help a lot ! Like a subscribe for sure dawg
thank you welcome it feels good to know ppl have ur backs ....
Brother one question the temperature gage not working what sensor should I replace thank you
the tempature switch if u never replaced.
@@juniormartinez2586 thank you brother
What about if only one fan comes on when you jump the temperature control cable?
The other fans is probably bad check it
It's cold in Georgia!!!!! It's probably spring time up here in buffalo
Yes it was at the time we recorded the video right now it’s warm
Thank man aprende uno gravia

What if relay and fuse checked and is good and paper clip diagnostic has been done but the fan on passengers side still not working??
So was ur fan not turning on to begin with ? I’m just confused on how the paper clip method works
hey man i put the clip in the connector but as soon as i switch the key on the fans start spinning , the ac doesn’t even have to be on so i can’t tell if it’s a bad fan switch or not
Yes most likely u also have to let the car idle full temperature to make sure the fans work properly after u put the fan switch if ur ac dosent blow cold most likely u need a compressor
When i turned on my AC, my fan working fine, but when ac off my radiator fan doesn't work even i reached 200F temperature... I assume is the coolant switch also? What do you think sir? Thanks!
You forgot about the other temp sensor the 17mm right ontop of that one my car still overheating and I changed that sensor already I’m guessing it’s the other sensor why my fans don’t turn on only when I turn on the AC
Right on my guy for us it was that temp sensor there’s a lot of methods that u got to check not all cars have the same problem
Man I got one more problem did everything you did but the passenger side fan is not comen on. But the driver side does. Does that mean my bigger fan is out?
Run wires directly from the fan to the battery if it dont come on is dead
So I know of this problem with my old Hondas, but with my 2003 civic even after replacing the temp sensor, the fans don’t kick on.
When I put the paper clip in, the fans turn on
What could this be?
Is probably the heating sensor just change ot and wait for full temperature to come on
Did that and you were right i replaced it but it doesn't read it ? Still not working after putting new one on 😢
My right fan (driver side) doesn’t work at all. When I cut the ac off the left (passenger fan) cuts off. But I thought the passenger was radiator fan and driver side ac fan. When I did paper clip thing only passenger fan cuts on. I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?
So I have encountered another problem, so far this video has helped me very much and the fan works when the paper clip is in. But problem is I replaced the fan switch brand new and for some reason when plugged in to the switch the fan doesn’t work. Only with the paper clip. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance
Did u let the car warm up to full temperature
Did you find out the problem same thing is happening to me
Hey bro I got a 05 civic as soon as the radiator fans come on it cuts off in a couple seconds you think my temp switch is bad? I have a slight overheating problem and it doesn't happen often. Please let me know what you think thank you
It could be a possibility just changed
