- Hi folks, NatNomad here. An ex-Buddhist monk from Laos with a big dream of seeing the world. Throughout my time for over 10 years being a monk I kept asking myself this one question "What life is like out there beyond the monastery?" And because of this question alone made me take a big step in 2014 when I finally say goodbye to my wonderful monastic life.
And now I'm doing what I've always wanted to do. Though I am not quite sure if I can say that I'm living my dream but you know what I'm loving my new adventure.
Please make sure to stick with me so we can explore new exotic places together.
Let the adventures begin!
Thanks so much for your support.
Another great video Nat.😊 you've inspired us to visit Laos again in November (it's been over 10 years since we were there).
My pleasure. Thank you for being so supportive. Welcome to Laos soon😊🙏
Wow the sky so beautiful and an awesome scenery. Be safe on the bumping road. Thank you for your time to take these beautiful country side views. Keeping up the good work.
Thank you for joining me always 😊.
I'm loving the scenery and the beauty of the village way of life. People seem so calm and friendly.
Thanks!
Thank you very much for the support. That is so kind of you. I really appreciate it 😊🙏.
Thanks
Thank you so much for the support. That is very kind of you. I really appreciate it 🙂🙏😊.
@natnomad thank you for sharing your country with us. I truly appreciate your work there. 😇🙏
You truly endear your viewers… your sharing at times, particularly your conversations with acquaintances that you have met along the way in your life is a joy to see, but also shows a different side of Laos that as tourists . We never really see. this particular video I really enjoyed. . Simply a “remembrance of days past” it brings back up nostalgia and adventure, and excitement that you had as a kid and young adult… Never lose what you have inside you… You make great videos…thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind feedback on this trip. I am happy to hear that 😊.
Apart from the beautiful scenery it is the people I've met that make this trip so thrilling. The more remote the more friendly they are. People are so open minded.
It was a bit emotional learning about my friend. I've never thought a bright kid like him would end up like that.
That motorbike ride you had, not gonna lie, is a brutal one...
I was watching and it almost felt like I was the one riding through all the dirt, the rocks and the holes!
You sure did give your bike an intense task! LOL
Pay off though, the views are stunning! I like how blue the skies are and green the fields are!
The people are so lovely and hospitable too!
Thank you for sharing these about Laos to all of us, Nat!
Thanks always for keeping up with my adventure in Laos, Paul. The ride was brutal indeed, especially with my type of scooter. In the future, I'll definitely do more of the countryside but probably not with that scooter again, hehe. I've learned my lesson.
I'm in love with the scenery and the people along the way🙂🙂
Thanks again Nat,its very interesting meeting villagers and learning about the life in these rural areas,
Lucky you know your way around.
Thank you too, for always following my adventure. It's nice to see nature and scenery, especially meeting nice locals along the way😊.
Nat! What an amazing journey, albeit slow and bumpy! As always, I really enjoyed all the beautiful mountainous scenery of Laos. The interaction with the locals was also lovely. I could also see how emotional you felt hearing about your friend. I really hope he can turn his life around for the better. Thanks for sharing your adventure! ❤❤❤
Thank you for always keeping up with the adventure. I'm glad you enjoyed this one 😊. The scenery is indeed breathtaking, and the people I met a long ways are friendly too. I also hope that my friend will return to his normal life sooner.
Thank you for sharing we enjoy your videos.
I am happy to hear that. Thank you for watching too 😊.
stay safe, Nat. good job! and thank you for your hard work.
Thank you. I'm happy you enjoyed it😊
Very cool Nat! That's a bummer about your friend. ❤👍👍👍🙏
Thank you for always watching my adventure 😊🙏.
Nat nice travelogue with great scenery. We are currently doing the Nan bo kluea Sapan and Pua circuit in northern Thailand encouraged by your videos of the beautiful mountains of northern Laos . Looking forward to more of your adventures …
Thank you for your kind feedback. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. I hope you're enjoying your adventure in the north of Thailand. Stay safe on the road🙂.
Hi Nat, I just discovered your channel a few days ago and I've really enjoyed watching your videos. I visited your beautiful country 10 years ago and it is so nice to see it again from a local's perspective. I really love your interactions with the local people and how you show us a side which most visitors never see. Also, you seem like such a kind and caring soul. I wish you all the best and continued success with your channel.
Thank you for your kind feedback on my videos. I am very happy that you are enjoying it so far. I hope you'll come to Laos again one day😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏
ຂອບໃຈຫລາຍໆ for sharing 👍❤️🙏😇🤩
ໂດຍ😊😊😊
I went from savannakhet to Vientiane and back on a small bike. Adventure still exists. Be careful
Wow you're so brave. I hope to do that someday 😊
Another beautiful road trip. Although it does seem like your back may have suffered. Hope you allow for some recovery time. There was a bit of sadness when you met up with the lady who knew you and your friend Saiphon. It looked like it affected you upon finding out your friend's fate. I must say you are one brave guy venturing out on your little scooter on treacherous roads. I lost count on the number of times you slipped, perhaps uttered words not fit to be heard 😅 Anyway, take care and stay safe.
Thank you for always watching😊 This trip was extra challenging due to the road conditions but I really enjoyed the entire trip. I think I've slipped 4 times as I remember, poor scooter haha. Luckily I had a nice rest upon arrival to town.
It was really emotional learning about my friend. When we were at the temple, he was one of the brightest kids. I couldn't believe he ended up like that. So many have changed in 21 years.
@natnomad we can never predict how things will turn out in the future. Some people may follow a path that leads them to a different experience growing up. That is life. May your friend find happiness and peace eventually. As for your scooter, it deserves a good wash. I wonder if you have named it? Positive vibes always make inanimate objects come alive. So when you slip next time, you can shout out its name to encourage it to be stronger. 😉 Your videos teach me to be positive even when adversity strikes. Keep up the great work and take care. Stay safe.
Buy a clip for the gopro or phone you are using, to attach it to the bike
Whatever he’s doing the video is remarkably stable. I’m guessing attaching it wouldn’t yield the same results
Ah thank you. I'll keep that in mind when I get my GoPro someday 😊
I'm using a non-action camera so I can only hold it. But the result isn't too bad, is it? for a rough road hehe
north-Laos is so beautiful, stunning scenery! 😍 i think i must take motorbike trip there....
The further north you go the more scenic the landscape is. I hope you'll do it😊
I learned a lot from your videos about Laos. The roads in countryside are not in good condition. The infrastructure there yet to develop. I am curious why villages didn't invest on roads. Because transportation is vital for development of local economy. I noticed that there is not much arable land between hills and mountains. Motorbikes are definitely much better on this bumpy slippery muddy road than scooters. Keep safe and watch out the traffic while riding! Nat❤
Thank you very much for your kind feedback. I am glad you enjoyed it all along. The road is pretty rough. I also have the same thoughts throughout the journey, why people don't fix the road since there are many villages along. Ah well, hopefully they work on it someday.
Thanks always for watching my videos 😊🙏
Hey Nat, did you hear about the Thai DTV visa? It allows you to stay there for 180 days and valid for 5 years.
Maybe you can go there and show some of Thailand so you can get your views and subscribers up. Just a thought.
Thanks for the idea. I haven't heard of that visa yet. But I'll check it out.
I like Thailand a lot, especially in the north. I will definitely do it someday in the future when I'm ready😊
Hi there. Another interesting adventure. I am a Hmong myself, and would love to accompany you! Well, I'm joking but really like trips like you do.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed this trip. I think it'd be easier to travel with someone who can speak the language 😉.
Thanks for watching 😊
@@natnomad Well, perhaps I need to learn Khmu language too....
I'd be useful when traveling to rural areas hehe. Like in this case, it'd be more interesting if I could speak Hmong.
@@natnomad True, it's understandable. Knowing many other languages is of a huge benefit. BTW, I can see your Lao is very fluent. What is more facinating is you really get the LPB accent!
👍👍👍
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate it 🙏😊🙂
Thanks again Nat,its very interesting meeting villagers and learning about the life in these rural areas,
Lucky you know your way around.
