@@isilverotasi Oh yeah, I know exactky what you're referring too. I rode over that bridge and heard every blank beyond me while panning my phone to all directions😁
@@Isz2134 I can imagine. i travelled the old (kasi - luang prabang) and new route (luang prabang - kasi). I'll show both routes in the upcoming videos. The new route nr.4 is way faster for sure... along the old route (nr.13) you could see Phou khoun mountain though.
May I share you my 1979 story for you. Vang vieng to kasi is your heaven, but that was my hell. You may remember as you heading north on Rte 13 cross the bridge and leaving the Nam Xong river behind, you go through a narrow cliff then you will see the side road oranges market then the next 500 meters that's where we crossed the road from right to the left for escaping to freedom to Thailand and then USA because my parents were CIA recruited soldiers. Lots of people being killed around where the orange market area.
Hi Chao. Thanks for sharing your story, I've read it carefully. As for the places you mentioned: Even though I don't want to bring bad memories, you might wanna check out the second episode of this series (Life at the Cliff Edge I Laos). The video starts at a massive cliff just a little further up north from Kasi and ends at the bridge leaving Nam Xong river behind..
@FloriTravels I watched all your episodes. Nam xong is the river down by vang vieng, the one just little north of Kasi, It's called Nam Lik. As you zip zap up passed huge Mt cliff (Pha Chao) before you get to the sightseeing or (rest area), My birth place is about 15 or 20 miles east of that which is across the other side of the hill. Just a personal question, you have British accent what country are you from?

I had a very good time in Vang Vieng, I can't forget the time I passed over that famous wooden bridge on a motorbike, greetings to everyone there

Good Luck. Road is shocking if you travel from Luang Prabang to Luang Namtha. I am traveling from LP to VV tomorrow. I hear rd 13 is better

@@Isz2134 yes, I just looked it up:
Old route via Phou Khoun (slow); nr.13
New route (fast): nr.4
The roads in Laos are very primitive. Give it time. Progress is slow in Laos.
@@LaoSoftware Yeah, the roads aren't really advanced, but they make for an exciting travel experience:)
