    Remember, a spark isn’t a purpose, it’s just your reason to live. To anyone reading this, enjoy life while it lasts.

      I feel like to live is to see greatness even in the tiniest of things. And a spark a rare phenomenon where you yourself achieve “greatness”. But that doesn’t define success.
      Because “success” itself is a made up concept.

      Yes. I agree every movie has this
      Luca being the scene where Alberto brings the umbrella and then Luca reveals himself to save him.
      Inside out being the scene where sadness saves the day
      Toy story 3 being the scene where Andy gives away the toys
      Etc etc

    This reminds me of another Pixar movie, Up. Russell and Mr Fredrickson are walking through the jungle. Russell is telling Mr F about sitting in front of Fenton’s eating ice cream and counting cars as they go past. “I know it sounds boring, but it’s the boring things that I remember the most.” I think that speaks to all of us.

    Thank you. I've been basing my happiness off of how close I am to my overarching wife goal, and only recently, I'd begun to wonder what would happen if I didn't achieve it.. What would I even do? And then this movie threw itself into the orbit of my life and it told me exactly what I needed to hear. Now I know I'll be okay. And I know that even if things outside of my goal make me happy, it doesn't mean I'm losing my reason for living, it just means that the "reason" for living is all around me, all the time. I just have to open my eyes.

    One if not the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen in a movie. It really captures every emotion and feeling without needing to say one word, and that is what makes it powerful...

    Trent Reznor is the best thing to happen to Disney since Hans Zimmer. I can't imagine this movie without his haunting piano music.

    My relationship with my father was difficult. He died almost two years ago. What I will always remember were the good moments, life moments that seemed small at that time. His not very good jokes, his ability to charm people he just met, his life experiences, and his intelligence. He was better than he though he were. He died chasing always something, because nothing was ever enough to make him content. And never forgave himself. I don’t want to make the same mistake. I will be happy now with what I have. I will believe in myself, I will forgive myself and I will know that if I cannot reach a certain goal, a certain situation, or a certain relationship, I will be okay. Because I already have so much.

    This movie reminded me of myself in ways. Always felt like a person chasing their dreams would benefit them way more than just to live a normal life. I couldn't understand it such ambitious and rich life goals/dreams give you so much in life why would a person refuse to chase after such a thing I didn't understand it and honestly those type of people frustrated me for a while. Because in this day and age in social media you can see how much more capable we are of achieving success in our lives. I didn't realise how much that affected my mindset and much it unconsciously toxiated me.but after realizing how toxic it actually is to assume others should just pursue their dreams and how mentally tolling it's I felt so bad for wanting everyone to chase their dreams. Underappreacting the beauty of simplicity that is a simple life. I think Soul is the pure epitome of appreciating the simple stuff of live and being okay with that. This movie took me back when I was 14-16 struggling heavy with that mindset but watching it when I'm 18 and not having that mindset anymore made this movie so much more personal to me. Easily one of my favourite movies of all time.

    I feel like this scene would have been more powerful if joe died at the end of the film, because he would have remembered all the really great moments he truly did have in life and just forgot about it like we all do

      Yeah, I always think this for a lot of disney movies and how good it would make them, but it is Disney and aimed for kids so their thing is making sure the main characters always live no matter what in the end. We can just say that the true ending is he did pass away but his life never did go to waste like what he feared.

    • @foxwearsgloves9161
      @foxwearsgloves9161 3 года назад +9

      It never shows us, but it would be her own body and completely new.

    • @eltonyescas5425
      @eltonyescas5425 3 года назад

      I remember thinking about what happened with 22 when i first saw the movie. Not gonna lie, when Joe and 22 go to earth and 22 leaves Joe, I was hoping we, as the audience, would get a sneak peek at where 22 went. Unfortunately, it never showed where 22 went. Pixar scrapped that concept various times as it felt unfulfilling. I mean sure it would've been nice to see where 22 ended up. But I think that Joe realizing that he was missing out on the other things in his life was more important as he's the protagonist. Though 22 in my opinion was the real protagonist. Because if anything the film mostly revolves around her living in someone's body, in this case Joe's body. And learning not to judge things so quickly.
