As a senior, you're going to enjoy it a lot. You'll find a lot more people at high school who are willing to practice more, and you'll get to play harder literature more regularly. Marching band may be a coin toss depending on who you are, but at the very least it's usually when you make the most connections with people, and at the best it's one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of it all.
As a fellow middle schooler going to 9th grade, I wish us both good luck on our high school times. Good luck, and practice as well as you play, you play really well.

i'm a flute too the other flutes kinda suck in my band tho i wouldn't say that if they were actually trying their best but they take breaks so often in the middle of songs and they talk to other people

I play on a Trevor James fanfare 2, I got it from Carolyn Nussbaum in Plano tx, you can only see it in person not on there websites cause they maid a deal with Trevor James not to advertise it online, but the specs are Sterling silver head joint and body Silver plated mechanism 22k lip plate , riser and crown Offset G B foot C# trill key Split E Those are the specs of my flute!
