  • Ep#2 of Forts of India: The Daultabad Fort in Maharashtra is one of the most splendid architectural marvel situated on a conical hill about 200 meters high. This episode is as great as the Fort.
We Indians should respect and honour these things
and show our interest in protecting these monuments.

Excellent tribute to great forts and history by DD..hats off!
With all due respect to the 25 forts in this series, bit surprised that RAIGAD is missing!
It was not only capital of Shivaji Maharaj, but was also called Gibraltar of East due to its impregnability.
Would really appreciate an episode on RAIGAD.

I am skeptical about the fact that devagiri was the capital for 17 years. It was shifted back to Delhi within a year or two. Would appreciate if you verify.

No mention of the Yadav king of Devgiri and him giving protection to Vaghela King of Gujarat. The subsequent occupation by Aladdin Khilji’s forces. And the young Yadav prince Bimba Raja who then fled to Mahim,Mumbai where you still see the fort built by him.
