    Hey Nick,
Thanks for always (twice) replying to my questions in your live streams.
So, last week I asked you about making "behind the scenes" and/or "how to film/how I filmed it" videos for my music (cover songs videoclips) channel. You suggested that I'd focus on getting some momentum first, because if people aren't interested/don't know me, such content might not be appealing (which makes a lot of sense).
But: I just finished my 30-day challenge with your friend Derral (and I've almost finished his book too). Honestly until someone asked him advice about a channel that sounded very similar to what I do I had NEVER seen him lose his smile...
It really hit me, I'm producing videos after videos with the best quality possible, using moving cameras, sliders, lights, funny/different instruments and I'm somewhat managing to release new videoclips weekly (which many ppl deemed impossible for a music channel). But... the views aren't there yet... I get it I'm new here, I need to learn a lot still... But I really feel like I'm missing something (ok I effed up the algorithm big time when I started in May and for months by doing EVERYTING you advice not to... I learned my lesson I hope)... The Behind the scenes content, or more precisely videos where I explain how I filmed myself with the moving sliders and how I came up with certain arrangements for the song/s felt like a good idea (Derral suggested it to that channel i mentioned) but you actually made it sound like a bad idea... And BOTH of your povs make so much sense to me... I'm really not seeing the light atm... any advice you could spare?

Thanks, NIck. I still do this so much.. for the age of my channel, I think I am doing way good, though. 373 subs and 2k watch hours in 4 months, but for some reason I find myself checking analytics a million times a day anyways. Maybe I'm just expecting too much too fast? Maybe I'm just being impatient? It really can be a mind screw.

    Hey Nick!
You know what, before i started to make content creation a daily habit, your videos got me all stressed out:)
Everytime you pointed out the importance of starting to create in order to gain experience and learn from mistakes, you were so right!
Right before i made the decision to give youtube a sincere chance, i made the descision that i wouldn't under any circumstances get emotionally attached to analytics.
My passion is to be creative and learn new stuff and that´s where i have been putting all of my focus.
In four months, i´ve uploaded over 70 videos, gained 6500 views and 21 subscibers. This is not amazing but it´s proof of work and it helpes me a lot as i´m getting better at content creation.
Today, watching your videos helpes me out in a new and different way!
Thank you for all of your knowledge and all of the time you put in to make people understand!
You are making a difference and i thank you for doing so!

Loved this video! I agree! It really sucks the fun out of youtube when I start thinking about the subscriber count. Always gotta remember my value isn't determined by that number and to enjoy the growth process!

This is awesome. Thank you! I find I don’t want to make anything new sometimes because it all does so badly.

What works for me is sometimes not uploading for over a week and when I see new subscribers have joined, that creates momentum for me to make better content. I actually rinse-and-repeat this routine quite a bit.
