oh my god! her husband was doing martial arts like Keanu Reeves from the matrix defending the nest from the predators! I think he got a bit carried away but maybe he could be an extra in the next John Wick movie!
When my granny had breast cancer, 2 doves built a nest and laid two baby eggs :) we took it as a blessing and a sign from God, as my granny and grandfather have been together for over 50 years, and doves also mate for life. My granny beat the breast cancer!!
Yes, I was blessed to watch a dove couple raise their family in a hanging basket of flowers at my front door, two years in a row! I put up a sign too: "Shhh, baby birds sleeping!" The parents protected their babies from anyone who got a little close. Doves are not much at building nests but they are great parents! Congratulations! And might I say, your husband is the best Crow Destroyer! ❤
I love robins. Several years ago ( I live in Surrey England), there was a robin who started to fly down behind my husband when he was digging through the garden. Then when it appeared on the fence one of us would go and dig some earth up and it would fly down and pick up the insects we unearthed. Eventually, it started to fly down onto our garden arch when we were sitting in the garden and bob up and down chirping at us. It had learnt that if it signalled to us, we would go and dig earth for it. It brought its babies down as well. This went on the next year, but there was no sign of any of them after that. It was such a special thing for us. An interaction with a wild bird and its trust of us.. I will treasure that all my life.
We've had the same couple of mockingbirds nest at our house for the past few years now. They know we won't bother their babies and they guard our house with great fury. Anyone new pulls into the driveway and they're perched on the mailbox inspecting the newcomers. They'll even run across the roof doing their "intimidation dance" as unfamiliar people walk up the sidewalk. We love them ❤️
Yes mockingbirds are characters. Back when I was a child we had a cat who was allowed outdoors, mockingbirds hated her. They’d dive-bomb her. They’re not afraid to swoop down at a cat.
@@angelwings7930 lol they would do that to my dog too one summer and she would hide under the back porch while she was outside. The other day I watched a mockingbird mocking a hawk. It kept flying back and forth on either side like "im over here, now I'm over, whatcha gonna do about it" it was funny.
I'm in Florida and it is rare for Robin Redbreast to visit here. The few times they've been here bring back such fond memories of growing up in Michigan. If you haven't seen Robins for a while, their hopping about is so different from other birds.

as a kid a bird made a nest in our balcony. my mom told me to not touch it but as a kid i wanted to help it. i grabbed some grass outside and put them in the nest to help the bird build it well.. and after coming once, seeing the nest's smell changed, the bird didn't return and left eggs there.

Everyone had to drive around and go thru the warehouse-- the executives, the vendors, etc...the original company owner was an animal lover & his kids/grandkids continued his legacy of looking out for the wildlife & critters & such
Not on my door, but in my garage!! I had to keep the door open a bit at the top so the dad could fly in and out with food. All 4 babies fledged!! Beautiful to witness. ❤❤
Not on my front door, but on my patio. We even got to watch the babies fledge with mom showing them how to fly. Adorable. Of course, we didn't use our patio while all this was going on, but daddy feeding mom while on the nest was so sweet.

Your husband protecting the birds is my favorite part… I mean funniest part… the whole video is my favorite; of course!!! Baby robins’ nest on your front door! Super amazing.
Mourning Doves nested on the outside part of our wimdow a/c unit. It was a couple months after the death of a loved one. It helped me so so much to watch the cycle. They came back two years in a row before the a/c unit broke and we couldn't buy another one. We tried to leave the broken one but they didn't come back to it. I see them in the summer but have never found another suitable nesting spot that they want. However, I will forever cherish the joy of watching them three years in a row. ❤
I had a bird nest in a hanging planter that was in my screened in patio (I kept the door open 24/7 so my dogs could go out whenever they wanted). She was not afraid of me and would come feed her babies while I was hanging out on the patio. One day I saw one of the babies standing on the side of the nest and I knew what time it was so I put the dogs inside but sat back down outside. I got to watch all 4 of her babies fledge the nest with BOTH parents guiding them to the door and coaxing them as they learned to fly. The whole process took about 2 hours and they didn’t come back again after that. It is still one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced.
I found one in my metal hanging plant watering can. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until it was too late and my neighbors 20 cats scared the mom away and the babies died 😔 I f@%king hate her cats.
It's just happened to me!!! I saw the nest then I saw four eggs and now three of the four have hatched!! OMG I am soooo excited!! They are so safe on my back porch!

I had 2 nests at my front door of my old home, and they would always come by, and nestled in a place where I too, call home. It's a very heartwarming experience to witness birds set up a family life right infront of your eyes.
Robin's are very auspicious birds. She chose wisely, as you have demonstrated with your love and care for the little family. She will repay you, you can be sure! Xxx
This is beautiful. Robins are so 'human' friendly. Personally, i think they feel sorry for us. When i was young, my granddad had an allotment & we had a whole family of them. Over the years this family grew, and became, what i imagine to be, generations. They were fantastic at sharing their home with us. Letting granddad grow, and letting us feed them our fruit & the worms we dug up. Kept me entranced for hours, days, weeks. Was the absolute high light of my week to pull on my wellys and go tromping off down. Me, my Granddad and Uncle Bill. Memorys. Thank you for sharing this with me. And for nudging those memorys of lovely hours i spent with the 2 most important men in my life.
I raised 3 baby Robin's after my brother knocked down the nest at his house... they had free run of my bathroom it was a mess but so worth it ... and no they don't write or visit...
It really is! Robins made nests right on my bedroom windowsill and seeing the babies grow up is so cool. They made their nest there two years in a row. It was so sad when the last babies flew away and the nest was empty. They were a bit scared when they saw me through the window, but eventually got used to me which was awesome.
@JohnsonHowordWhy are people always so negative? Like did this hurt you in some way? Are people not allowed to find beauty in things? So many fun suckers here. Not even a cool vampire, just someone bitter.
@JohnsonHoword I love this - a bird picked my front porch and treated me as an intruder, so I know what you mean. They might be following ques we don't understand that well.
My mom loves to feed rabbits in the yard. She even backs away and postpones her yard work when she happens upon them feeding. She doesn’t want to interrupt them while they’re eating.
Lol, I'd have to force my mother to not move the nest. 😂 She wouldn't care as much as us. But we wouldn't be able to redirect our mail, etc because we live in a row apartment and you'd have to walk all the way around to the backyard and our mail man wouldn't do that.
Robins love mealworms, raisins, sunflower hearts, seeds and fruits. They also love worms and insects. We have seven nests in the eaves of our Orangery, the birds return every year. They re-line the nest and make repairs. They know we won't bother them and can become very tame. It is not uncommon to be enjoying afternoon tea with half a dozen Robins perched on chairs around the table - they love toasted teacakes!
I watched a pair of robins in my backyard one day grabbing worms. I was amazed at how they could peck right down into the grass and pull up worm after worm right out of the dirt like strands of spaghetti.
I love everything about this video! The star is the robin and her beautiful nest and babies, of course. The supporting actor is the super husband who protected the bird family in hilarious fashion, and the wife who made a safe home for the babies and made the video. BTW the wreath and front door are really pretty. What an awesome experience you shared with us. ❤
This is precious! she and her nest look like they belong there! Looks like the crowd will be spreading the word-don’t mess with the husband or else!❤😂🪺
Yes! Every few years one comes to near there on our door. Last one got to be quite a buddy. I got to be there to see babies take their first flights. What a cool experience!
The Mother Robin choosing your front door, to build her nest on the floral wreath, tells me how special you both are. You made her and her four chicks happy! Your husband providing extra protection, was a blessing. Please keep us posted on the chicks' development. Much ❤ and Happiness to all of you and the Robin Family! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💐
Many years ago I had a bird make her nest on my side porch in the supporting beam. I always prayed over the tiny eggs and the babies would come out fine. One day I opened the door and saw the eggs were gone and a baby chick on the grass carpeting of the porch. He seemed to be huffing and puffing. I thought he had fallen out of the nest! Turns out the mama was showing him off to me! What a blessing from the Lord!
Cute. My daughter had a bird build her nest on her front door wreath also. Only she never KNEW it until she removed the wreath in the fall. The nest had bird droppings from the babies on it, so she knew there HAD been babies there. And all that time they had been USING the front door, and the bird didn't even mind. The nest was tucked into the center of the wreath and sort of protected, hard to see. It was a good spot she picked. And having the people there even kept other birds away for her. We were all amazed. Brave little bird. So cute.
@@evanssooklal1620 Lucky you!! I’m an apartment dweller in NYC, but am a member of the Queens Botanical Garden which happens to be 2 blocks away from me. It’s my oasis of calm. ☺️❤.... Now that I’m retired, I spend much of my time there doing volunteer work. Queens NYC
Its so cute how we change our way of living to help protect this new mother bird. My mother in law had a hummingbird nest on her string lights in her back yard porch. She lived in dark back there to not disturb the new mommy. Now the hummingbird just hangs out with her back there even tho her babies grew and flew away. It's so precious.
Oh my gosh, we had the same thing happen. It was so much fun to watch. The babies pooped all over the windows, but it was worth it. I wonder why they build the nest on the lights? We didnt turn them on while the nest was there.
The same thing happened to us when I lived in Germany! The bird built the nest on our windowsill in the living room. We couldn't open the window for a while. (The windows open outwards there.) It was super fun! Glad you got to experience it too! ❤
Used to have a pet sitting business that everyone always gave me the key to their front door although most people tend to go in and out through their garage and never use their front door. I had a big house two-story entryway. Lots of two-story ceilings bird nested on the wreath open the front door bird flies in the house, I’ve learned a lot about catching birds. The easiest thing is to wait for night where they will roost. I learned to make a lot of noise going up to the doors
So cute and beautiful. Very wholesome for you to give up using your front door for a while so these precious little angels can have a good chance to grow.
The same thing happens to me but inside my reef she had five eggs unfortunately one didn’t hatch one was very very weak and the momma was feeding them but then one day we noticed that the baby birds were really loud and hungry we found out that the momma left them so we had to take them to the woods in a different tree so another bird or something could feed them and we didn’t want to see that one day we wake up and they’re dead
I really love how most the people in the comments think that these birds are so cute and you do too but the same people wouldn't hesitate pulling up to kfc and devour chicken nugget without a guilt or remorse such hypocrites you all are 👍👍👍
A couple of years ago we had two birds make nests in our hibiscus bush. This bush is inches off of the walk way to our front door. We live in a neighborhood where the HOA mows the lawns. So we had to ask the lawn mowers not to mow that section of the grass so as not to frighten the mama birds away from their nests. We also entered the house thru the garage door. It was beautiful to hear the chirps of the babies when we were out side, so sweet.
Not on my front door but I have a little sparrow family that moved into this little tea light candle lantern that hangs right above the doorbell. This spring was year 4. I leave a little pile of combed border collie fur in a paper bag in the corner that they use for their nest's fluffy layer - they used polyfill fibers in year 1. I remove all the baby sparrow poo on the lantern in early December so it's clean when they come back each spring. Last year I removed the top few layers when the next reached the top of the lantern - I was pleased they still called it home this spring.
Your husband protecting the nest was the absolute best. Thank you for loving these birds enough to change your routine.

Robin's are very auspicious birds. She chose wisely, as you have demonstrated with your love and care for the little family. She will repay you, you can be sure! Xxx

@@user-fc5ct9qb5uare you a robin? Lol
Thank you for sharing your memories. 🩷
Soz but: I ain't reading all that
@@Three_girls_Romanayour like 8 💀💀💀
I raised 3 baby Robin's after my brother knocked down the nest at his house... they had free run of my bathroom it was a mess but so worth it ... and no they don't write or visit...
@@Three_girls_Romana nobody cares if you're not reading it why do you feel the need to tell us that?
God's Beautiful and Wondrous Creation ❤ ✝️
You’re compassionate and good hearted. ❤❤❤May God Bless you❤
The greatest complement a bird can give you is to raise a family near you... and to return next year
It really is!
They might be following ques we don't understand that well.
when a person is willing to change their life around so that they can protect life it says a lot about them
The other way around is also true, with the ab0shanists.
Well,, we can't take nothing with us when we go but the memories of caring compassion for and looking after is what we can take with us..
👍
This happened to me and it was so cute that I got to see the mom feed the babies and sit on the eggs ❤
Even my mother says birds coming to your house or doors is a good sign of positivity..
Yummy

Here's a tip: Get some help.
We have sparrows build nests above our slider outside our bedroom every year. It’s been going on for about 10 years now. It’s pretty awesome.
You provided shelter for an animal in need and helped protect her little ones.
You deserve all the luck in the world!
You are SO blessed!😅🙏
The husband, omg, he made my day!
It’s the husband protecting the nest for me, like who is he karate kicking? 😂😂😂😂
You are so lucky! I raised a fledgling and they are so cool .
So cute.
Truly, a blessing ❤
Yep.. doves continually do this at our front door.

Lucky you!! I’m an apartment dweller in NYC, but am a member of the Queens Botanical Garden which happens to be 2 blocks away from me.
It’s my oasis of calm. ☺️❤....
It’s huge, and people who are NOT city folk find it hard to believe we have all manner of our winged family members: hawks, morning doves, cardinals, owls, blue jays, egrets,...you name it.
Now that I’m retired, I spend much of my time there doing volunteer work.

The fact that her husband was doing extreme fighting skills 😂😂😂😂
You both are amazing. Thank you for doing that! Many wouldn't.
It's not only good luck, it's means you're house is mostly filled with the most kind hearted souls.
this is true abt having birds near your home or even inside
Thank you for being a good human. This world needs people like you and your family.
Doh
A sparrow couple built a nest on the wreath on my front door. They did this for the past two years.
True:)
This looks like such a happy household and you and your husband are so kind, I love this.

How nice of you not to let her be disturbed. You're blessed!
Cool
what is the HOA
Nice the usually hostile HOA didn't just trash the nest .

Adorable footage of those precious birds. And the husband doing his job
You so lucky, I had a Robin nest and it had 5 eggs! And they didn’t make it now I just feed the birds😊
Nice! But this is not a robin. Not here in Holland. This is a different bird. Nice though!!!
Your husband understood the assignment and took it seriously 😂😂😂😂😂
God bless you both!!!
Hey, what is your do when there’s a bird on my head because there are birds on my head
Ahhhh I loved your Husband’s Karate Chops to protect the birds. So kind of you to make adjustments around the Birds 💕👑🐦🐦🐦🐦 .
