No, when you said "it's worse than ripping a band-aid off" I felt that. Frogging always feels like a piece of your soul is leaving like a damn horcrux being made.
I had to frog an entire project the other day because I realized right at the end that the pattern sucked (my fault) and I swear my soul left my body as I did
I think you SHOULD do this as a series. It helps us to remember you are always growing as an artist and it’s ok for things to be not perfect the first time and you can come back and try again with new skills!
@@itz_fiyin better start undoing it. A tote bag is tiny so it won't take long for you to get back to where you are now. Personally I'd rather start again than have a bag I don't like the look of.
@itz_fiyin awww, I would start again. Unless you sew a lining and attach the straps to the lining, that bag will be like a net instead. I know, I made that mistake 😫. Unless you're making it for a specific purpose a d light stuff. Hope it turns out nice!
i love that you started all the way over instead of trying to use the original bag parts pieces' i feel like you really set yourself up for success and then straight up achieved.
Love the bag! Yes, a thousand times better. All the elements of it came together beautifully. I also love your bike ride. Beautiful scenery. Wish I could ride across that bridge. Very enjoyable and inspiring video. ❤ Btw, I'm making a crocheted pink gingham baby blanket. It was supposed to be a birthday present for my cousin's baby girl. Her birthday is October 13. All single crochet. Now it's going to be a Christmas present. 😁😅
that'd be a fun series! or even not *remaking*, but going back to something you made and don't wear and turning it into something else so it doesn't go to waste. I've also thought it'd be fun to see you take on baking challenges (british bake off style) because food, in a roundabout way, is such a big part of your channel!
I am no vet, but I think Jack's issues pooping, peeing, and throwing up have to do with anxiety due to his background. He gets stressed you might go away and he'll be alone/without you that he does that stuff to get attention as to kinda make sure you'll stay.
How about going for a bike ride and then taking your cute puppers for a walk, I’m sure they would enjoy it. The best of both worlds.

I live for this series. I don’t have a suggestion for what to remake bc everything you make seems perfect to me! Lol would of never guessed the first bag had so many issues haha go off pumpkin pie queen. Love ur videos always!
yes…you always freak me out when you go riding your bike on the bridge…i feel like you are gonna fall off or something….lol 😬 and yes to remaking your prototypes…you go gurl! love your channel and your peppy personality lights up my day.
Jenna, Your videos are a pleasure to watch. Benson and Jack are so sweet to watch, too. Since I found your channel, I have wanted to tell you that whether you are crocheting, sewing (anything you do/create) you do a quality job. Your stitches are consistent, even throughout, and neat, which makes a beautiful completed piece/result(s). I love your determination to finish, and never give up. Thank you for posting.
Hi Jenna, Just wanted to say thank you for showing those little snippets of Vancouver on your bike rides etc. I’ve lived on Vancouver Island for a while and have been to Vancouver so many times and I miss it so much. It really fills my heart with joy to see a bit of the scenery every now and then in your videos. Lots of Love from Germany🤗
I've noticed he's particularly bonded to you and thrives on your attention and being close to you. He likely experiences separation anxiety and general stress when you're gone, and then your return is also a big emotional deal. His little digestive system was probably in turmoil. After 2 1/2 weeks, he may have even begun mourning the loss of you.
Same struggles, crochet is very flexible in bags and indeed they strech when you put weight. I made one of hooked thinking it was stiff enough but no. The way i found to re enforce them is lining them with fabric.
Hi Jenna. I had my craft fair this past weekend and it was great. Sold several crochet items (bags, pumpkins, hats, etc) and met some wonderful people . I can't wait until the next one! Thank you for always inspiring me!!!
Jenna, I have only recently discovered your channel. You are a breath of fresh air. Just a quick question. Is Benson ill? I know he sleeps a lot but maybe he's just a sweet little elderly dog. He has stolen my heart.
The part where you break down why its not as enjoyable as youd like....i felt that in my soul. Im working on a "tshirt yarn" rug. Its tight because i dont have a big enough hook. 100% love the project, but its not as "fun" as id like it to be.
Besides, ofc, the content itself, I love when Jenna goes outside on bike rides. I visited the Rocky Mountains early September this year starting in Vancouver and I fell in love with the city ♥
I've crocheted a few mochilla style bags which take easily 6 months because they require patience and precision so when you said how many hours it took you, i smiled because it can take an hour to do a single row of a mochilla style bag sometimes 😂
I couldn't have found this video at a better time. I've been thinking about redoing some sweaters I made from pattern tests over the last year that I want to fit me better, but wasn't sure about it but this really inspired me. Also I loved the reinforcement you made for the sides and bottom with the scraps you used for testing. Looks great!
I had a whole pumpkin pie that size in one sitting when I was in high school (it was an apology present lol). You don’t have to justify your eating habits to anyone!
I love your outfits! Did you make your scrunchie? The bag turned out fabulous, I just made a denim one with a lace overlay for my daughter for her birthday (webbing straps) Thank you for all your videos!
Yes! That's great idea! Right now I'm on my way to redo a linen knitted t-shirt into a crochet one. It was terrible, I didn't wear it, now I'm inspired. Thank you 🎉
I'm an off loom beaded weaver & I feel your pain ripping things back, I end up doing that a lot because I find a small mistake or I just don't love what I've made. I love your dogs xx
I was yelling at you thru my TV but you didn't hear, BUT I really thought you wld pick the flatter canvas strapping (rt behind the rope strap you held up)& would sew THE LEFTOVER CROCHET FLOWERS ALL ALONG THE STRAP. Actually, you still could sew them on it. I just love those flowers! 🌼 Bag turned out great!
Loved your video! Small bags are so useful! You have the sweetest pets! Just loved seeing your beautiful dress in the background! You and it deserve an award! Aussie Lady
I did notice that you haven't posted anything because i check your channel daily so i don't miss anything from you. I love watching you crochet. Your new purse is awesome. Yes i would love to see more content of your creating old to new. Love your channel.
Mercerized cotton would have helped prevent the issues before lining. If you look up Mochella crochet they use Mercerized cotton because it won't stretch or sag as much for bags.
Loved the remade bag… I was wondering if u braided some cording for the handle(?) that would make it sturdy & cute… your bike & skate board rides look so scenic & fun! I like redoing & recycling videos!
Definitely a great series idea! having made stuff I usually do end up adding stuff or making it better after a trial and error initial make, the bag 2.0 looks awesome btw! Also i usually come or inspiration and a buddy/background aid while doing my own makes, even to get me in the mood to make something but I also always laugh, parts of this episode were peak goof 😋🥰and i am here for it, so thank you !!
HI JENNA!! I LIKE YOUR NEW BAG IT'S BETTER AND SAFER TO USE THAN BEFORE. YOUR BIKE RIDE LOOKED GREAT WITH THE VIEWS. INSPIRING. WELL THANKS AND STAY SAFE. 🙏❤️
a:the damn vest! (is my memory failing me?where is that from??) b:the fab bag! c:the damn strap...i died and thought of checkered vans! Where do your babies stay when you travel? I'm so glad you went but I know they are happy you are home!!!!
I would love to see a series of the "old vs new"
Imagine her redoing her Crochet flower dress in 5 years, that would be crazy.
Same
No, when you said "it's worse than ripping a band-aid off" I felt that. Frogging always feels like a piece of your soul is leaving like a damn horcrux being made.
Why is it kind of peaceful for me 🤣 my husband is always like “ WHAT ARE YOU DOING THAT FOR” lmbo
I had to frog an entire project the other day because I realized right at the end that the pattern sucked (my fault) and I swear my soul left my body as I did
Love the idea, agree to a series!! Give all our craft fails a second life 👏🏼👏🏼
Me too!
I think you SHOULD do this as a series. It helps us to remember you are always growing as an artist and it’s ok for things to be not perfect the first time and you can come back and try again with new skills!
Love a girl who buys a whole Costco pumpkin pie for herself! 🎃
I LOVE Costco's pumpkin pie, but my hips don't.
Every year I await Costco pumpkin pie season. And I am always sad when it ends.
“I don’t want a saggy boob purse” made me chuckle haha 😂
It made me a little sad. Saggy boobs deserve love too❤
I'd kinda like to see her make a saggy boob purse 😅
Yes, please make it into a series if you feel like doing that! Love how the bag turned out! :D
May I suggest my FAVORITE crochet stitch... the linked double crochet. There is nothing you can't make with it, I loooove it. Ok. That is all.
Omg yes! I love linked dc, I've made a cardigan and a jumper with that stitch and they are super warm and hold their shape really well.
i learned a new stitch today, thank you!!
Omg, I wish I knew earlier 😫. I'm making crochet gingham tote bag with dc, it would of helped with my gaps between colour change.
@@itz_fiyin better start undoing it. A tote bag is tiny so it won't take long for you to get back to where you are now. Personally I'd rather start again than have a bag I don't like the look of.

To me, a fellow crocheter…your explanation of the bagstrap-idea makes TOTAL SENSE! We get you Jenna!
i love that you started all the way over instead of trying to use the original bag parts pieces' i feel like you really set yourself up for success and then straight up achieved.
You're giving me idea to recreate my first and worst project i made😭
I love the little bike ride scene :) your editing and process is very enjoyable to watch! Love your videos ❤
Jenna, I check your channel daily and did notice your absence. That 'FLOWER DRESS' is amazing. So glad you are OK and all is well.
To make things perky is my new saying. Thank you.

Love the video concept and the new one turned out so well!!! I’d love to see more in this series for sure.
Love the bag! Yes, a thousand times better. All the elements of it came together beautifully.
I also love your bike ride. Beautiful scenery. Wish I could ride across that bridge.
Very enjoyable and inspiring video. ❤

I agree food is a big part of the content, but I think it's more food eating, then food making.. I say this with zero judgments.
@@waterbitten oh, I totally agree! I guess I'd just watch jenna do almost anything :)
Huge improvement……turned out cute!
Love the new bag!
A nice stylish knot to secure the strap might Knock your socks off.
This turned out AMAZING! ❤

Love the fork/spoon situation
Our family just got back from a couple weeks in Europe and my little dog did the EXACT same thing, lol. Not fun to deal with when you have jet lag 😂
Jenna, you are the most iconic person ever...
Love the series idea! Also, you can save the old bag by putting a lining in it using a study fabric like canvas. That would make it not so saggy!
And change the strap, make it wider and shorter to account for stretching.
LOVED THIS!! Your new bag is fire 🔥
yes…you always freak me out when you go riding your bike on the bridge…i feel like you are gonna fall off or something….lol 😬
and yes to remaking your prototypes…you go gurl!
love your channel and your peppy personality lights up my day.
love you so much Jenna! you always encourage me during a project!

This is gonna be SUCH a great series, the level of satisfaction after comparing new vs old is just *chef’s kiss*

A cloth liner , will stop the sag and tie a knot in the handle lol 😊
Same struggles, crochet is very flexible in bags and indeed they strech when you put weight. I made one of hooked thinking it was stiff enough but no. The way i found to re enforce them is lining them with fabric.

Oooo make a bag with the remaining crochet flowers, unless you're tired of them 😆😆😆
Loved that ,definately nailed it second time, and a bike ride thrown in too, brightened up my day thankyou 🙂⭐🌸
Gotta say, those pictures you took from your trip were amazing. Truly captured the beauty of traveling.
yees, we would like to see this as a series!
Jenna, I have only recently discovered your channel. You are a breath of fresh air. Just a quick question. Is Benson ill? I know he sleeps a lot but maybe he's just a sweet little elderly dog. He has stolen my heart.
Way to go above average Jenna. I love it!! You know companies may start copying you. It's a complement. Not me. I'm not a company. 😊❤
The part where you break down why its not as enjoyable as youd like....i felt that in my soul. Im working on a "tshirt yarn" rug. Its tight because i dont have a big enough hook. 100% love the project, but its not as "fun" as id like it to be.
Love the idea of this series! Fix/repair/modify the existing makes OR redo them altogether!
Looks great, very cute bag! Well done ❤
0:24 photos are giving vernon from seventeen
Besides, ofc, the content itself, I love when Jenna goes outside on bike rides. I visited the Rocky Mountains early September this year starting in Vancouver and I fell in love with the city ♥
Great choice with the brighter strap Jenna. It’s perfect😊
idk why i love to watch jenna phipps while crocheting it feels so fun nglll

Omg I've never heard of this and just googled. Now that is CRAFTSMANSHIP. Holy cow.
The quality and attention to detail! Stunning!
I agree, I think this would make a great series!

I love the series idea for recreating old makes! More please! x
Loooove this Jenna! Yes please, more re-do’s!

I love your outfits! Did you make your scrunchie? The bag turned out fabulous, I just made a denim one with a lace overlay for my daughter for her birthday (webbing straps) Thank you for all your videos!
IT'S GORGEOUS PLEASE MOREEE
frfr
I would love this as a series! It'll make us more diligent with our own projects ❤
Yep, remakes/prototypes would be a fun series, exploring ways to improve things!
Yes! That's great idea!
Right now I'm on my way to redo a linen knitted t-shirt into a crochet one. It was terrible, I didn't wear it, now I'm inspired. Thank you 🎉
Perky purse is lovely!
I'm an off loom beaded weaver & I feel your pain ripping things back, I end up doing that a lot because I find a small mistake or I just don't love what I've made. I love your dogs xx
Your bag turned out great!
You're so awesome. Is it intentional that; more often than not, your clothes and/or environment match the item you're creating?
the way i thought you were recreating the ganni sweater LOL but the checkered green is cute!! i love the undershirt you have for the ganni shirt too
i don't i could ever make a better ganni sweater
i absolutey LOVED this omg!! please make this into a series
I love the fact you have your own tag!
I think a series of these videos would be a lot of fun!
YES you should make this a series
I was yelling at you thru my TV but you didn't hear, BUT I really thought you wld pick the flatter canvas strapping (rt behind the rope strap you held up)& would sew THE LEFTOVER CROCHET FLOWERS ALL ALONG THE STRAP. 10/10 would love to see this as a series! You're a joy as always Jenna, cheers! -S.
Yarn under also helps with holey pieces (instead of yarning over)
Loved your video! Small bags are so useful! You have the sweetest pets! Just loved seeing your beautiful dress in the background! You and it deserve an award! Aussie Lady
Welcome home. ❤ I am so glad you are posting videos. Also, I hope you enjoyed your trip. 😊
So good!! Love new bag and would love to see you recreate pcs that can be better. Keep forgetting to mention how much I like your bookshelf stand!
Love the leather touch! It really works.
Awwwww BENSON had separation anxiety when you were gone...🐕🫶🏻🐕🫶🏻 BTW, welcome back‼️‼️‼️
ALSO UNDO THE OLD PIECES!! You can totally use the scrap yarn for other projects!!!!😊
Big YES to new series
I did notice that you haven't posted anything because i check your channel daily so i don't miss anything from you. I love watching you crochet. Your new purse is awesome. Yes i would love to see more content of your creating old to new. Love your channel.
I’m so jealous after watching this. Such a talented skill to have, loves it.
Awesome new bag, really enjoyed going on your bike ride. It’s so beautiful out there ❤❤. Stay safe
love that idea of a serie !!! the bag is so fun, love it :) so inspiring
Mercerized cotton would have helped prevent the issues before lining. If you look up Mochella crochet they use Mercerized cotton because it won't stretch or sag as much for bags.
The colourfull sides look so nice !

I still can't take my eyes off the gorgeous crochet flower dress
So happy you are back posting videos! Loved your travel photos but boy your videos make me laugh!! So much fun!
Ditto! Love the old to new and love that Costco pumpkin pie!!!!!
