    I think you SHOULD do this as a series. It helps us to remember you are always growing as an artist and it’s ok for things to be not perfect the first time and you can come back and try again with new skills!

    May I suggest my FAVORITE crochet stitch... the linked double crochet. There is nothing you can't make with it, I loooove it. Ok. That is all.

      Omg yes! I love linked dc, I've made a cardigan and a jumper with that stitch and they are super warm and hold their shape really well.

      @@itz_fiyin better start undoing it. A tote bag is tiny so it won't take long for you to get back to where you are now. Personally I'd rather start again than have a bag I don't like the look of.

      @itz_fiyin awww, I would start again. Unless you sew a lining and attach the straps to the lining, that bag will be like a net instead. I know, I made that mistake 😫. Unless you're making it for a specific purpose a d light stuff. Hope it turns out nice!

    I am no vet, but I think Jack's issues pooping, peeing, and throwing up have to do with anxiety due to his background. He gets stressed you might go away and he'll be alone/without you that he does that stuff to get attention as to kinda make sure you'll stay.

    that'd be a fun series! or even not *remaking*, but going back to something you made and don't wear and turning it into something else so it doesn't go to waste. I've also thought it'd be fun to see you take on baking challenges (british bake off style) because food, in a roundabout way, is such a big part of your channel!

    Love the bag! Yes, a thousand times better. All the elements of it came together beautifully.

    Btw, I'm making a crocheted pink gingham baby blanket. It was supposed to be a birthday present for my cousin's baby girl. Her birthday is October 13. All single crochet. Now it's going to be a Christmas present. 😁😅

    Same struggles, crochet is very flexible in bags and indeed they strech when you put weight. I made one of hooked thinking it was stiff enough but no. The way i found to re enforce them is lining them with fabric.

    Our family just got back from a couple weeks in Europe and my little dog did the EXACT same thing, lol. Not fun to deal with when you have jet lag 😂

    Love the series idea! Also, you can save the old bag by putting a lining in it using a study fabric like canvas. That would make it not so saggy!

    Just wanted to say thank you for showing those little snippets of Vancouver on your bike rides etc. I’ve lived on Vancouver Island for a while and have been to Vancouver so many times and I miss it so much. It really fills my heart with joy to see a bit of the scenery every now and then in your videos.

    I've noticed he's particularly bonded to you and thrives on your attention and being close to you. He likely experiences separation anxiety and general stress when you're gone, and then your return is also a big emotional deal. His little digestive system was probably in turmoil. After 2 1/2 weeks, he may have even begun mourning the loss of you.

    I've crocheted a few mochilla style bags which take easily 6 months because they require patience and precision so when you said how many hours it took you, i smiled because it can take an hour to do a single row of a mochilla style bag sometimes 😂

    The part where you break down why its not as enjoyable as youd like....i felt that in my soul. Im working on a "tshirt yarn" rug. Its tight because i dont have a big enough hook. 100% love the project, but its not as "fun" as id like it to be.

    I went to Sicily over the summer with my hubby and also brought back yarn souvenirs! At a store in Palermo, some lady was talking down/yelling at me... I could tell by her tone and the other ladies in the store were shushing her... Most awkward yarn purchase... But the other yarn I love!

    You should have a material liner...so nothing falls through and it will give you the sturdiness you want.

    I was yelling at you thru my TV but you didn't hear, BUT I really thought you wld pick the flatter canvas strapping (rt behind the rope strap you held up)& would sew THE LEFTOVER CROCHET FLOWERS ALL ALONG THE STRAP. Actually, you still could sew them on it. I just love those flowers! 🌼 Bag turned out great!

    I haven’t even finished watching this but I’m commiserating so hard on the saggy purse. I have a 15 year old saggy crochet purse I keep wanting to revitalize because it’s so cute and it just sits in my closet taunting me.

      15 years!.. it's time, rework it, you don't even have to make new one, try changing the strap and lining it, assuming it has the same issues as Jenna's.

      @@waterbittenI’ve been working in it a bit recently and started lining it but my other projects have taken precedence. After watching this I think the right plan is to frog the straps and use the yarn to change how it closes, then get a cute non crocheted strap so I don’t also worry about a saggy strap

    I couldn't have found this video at a better time. I've been thinking about redoing some sweaters I made from pattern tests over the last year that I want to fit me better, but wasn't sure about it but this really inspired me. Also I loved the reinforcement you made for the sides and bottom with the scraps you used for testing. Looks great!

    Mercerized cotton would have helped prevent the issues before lining. If you look up Mochella crochet they use Mercerized cotton because it won't stretch or sag as much for bags.
