Man I felt this 100%, as a young black man that started wearing a system in may I felt this 100%. I still haven’t mastered the hair unit game just yet. Me and my barber have been watching videos and figuring it out. It looks good but I know it could be better.
The hardest part for me was being in high school and early 20s (which I still am early 20s) is loosing hair, especially as a young black man which hair is a big part of our culture and personality.
I felt ugly. I’d look in the mirror and I look at my body 10/10, my skin 10/10, tattoos 10/10, my face 10/10 but no hair. I didn’t know what to do. My confidence was gon bc my hair was so thin. I felt like I was loosing in life, but then again it was all in my head.
I felt like I’d never be good enough and then one day late april I told myself I would try a unit and I couldn’t be more happier. I tried numerous times different units, but none of them looked natural to me. I always told myself one day you’ll choose rhe perfect unit and you’ll be so happy.
Man I’m just grateful for my barber!
Since I’ve been wearing a unit I felt more at ease, I felt like a fit in more and I’m still trying to stop giving a fuck about what ppl got to say but that’s apart of it. (Nobody knows it’s a unit, just speaking in general)
My advice to anyone that is started a unit is to stick with it. You’d actually be surprised if you knew how many ppl that you walk pass in a day that wears one. It’s a high maintenance cosmetic style you’re doing so you have to be consistent.
I was stuck in the house not wanting to leave, I went from 180 all muscle to a skinny 145 just because I was depressed about my hair.
I’m back up to a good 160 and working every day I feel like. Also I’m in school for real estate. Treating myself and buying myself more things, investing money for long term and it even improved my focus, All bc of my unit.
I’m rambling bc I’m tired so if you see this I hope you choose what’s best for you and remember self compassion will get your far. Failures are apart of the journey it’s how it was meant to be.

Recently I have started to wear a hair system and it has not been plain sailing. The logistics of getting it right, but the hardest part is caring what everybody else will think. Even when lockdown taught me that no one is really there for me.
The hair system is emblematic of me trying to improve myself. This year I have raised the standard of how I am willing to be treated and this has meant ditching certain people from my life. But also expecting more from myself. I have always worked out really, but I quit drinking in January and hope never to start again. Intermittent fasting to reach my goal weight.
The new hair has also opened up something else to me. As a young man, I used to sing in bands, really important to me. But as I got older and balder, playing live lost its appeal. Now I feel I look better, I can focus on my performance again, rather than worry about how shiny my head might be under bright stage lights.
An Italian Indie label recently asked me to go over to their country and play an acoustic set on a night they run. I'm going in November.

Spitting nothing but facts! Love it man you’re right on with everything here! A thought I’ve had lately that I can’t stop thinking about… I think as a bald or balding man, the process is traumatic, for each of us and it is always in your head, a traumatic event that never really ends so I think it’s taking up probably around 30% of our brains at all time, which is draining and has us operating at a reduced brain function level. That alone is a massive reason to get a system and yea if you own it then people will accept and even like it

I definitely feel I’ve developed a similar mindset to this of late. Like you I was a very sensitive and empathetic individual for a long time, but I realise that is never extended back towards me, you’re 100 percent right, a man must create his own worth in this world, whether we like it or not. We can still remain true to ourselves, only this time.. simply armed with more knowledge to extract the most out of life.

Hey Jake: I have worn a system for many years, and learned to do my own thing a lot out of necessity. I was kicking the can around looking for possible new places to find a hair system, and stumbled on your channel. I have looked at some of your videos. Wow! You have come so far, and I appreciate your genuine personality. Even though I am much older, have gone through a lot of the same things, felt similar emotions. I realize just how much we need to have the comradery of each other to help us get through all that life brings. We are not in this alone. Keep persevering. Thank you. I look forward to following you and perhaps picking your brain from all your bank of knowledge (et al.) as we all journey on in hair systems and life. Tom

Your message felt genuine and I think this raw, unedited format added to that. I agree with a lot of the points you expressed, many of which seemed common sense but it was nonetheless a helpful reminder that we're often shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. It's up to us as individuals to develop a mentality and mindset that allows us to become the best version of ourselves instead of hindering our own personal growth. We must make the most of what we were dealt with in this life.
Your empathic yet realistic perspectives are appreciated and I hope you continue to post videos, whether about hair systems, personal growth, etc.

Muay Thai, out of all standup martial arts, is the worst for hair systems lol. You can't avoid the clinch in Muay Thai that's just a fact - and having your head constantly pulled around in the clinch will inevitably mess up the system

Hi Jake... I'm actually looking for a hair system to be used. But my main part of worrines is the sweat that is inside the hair patch. I'm daily hitting gym and after the workout I used to take a cold shower every time which makes me refreshed. What if I'm wearing a hair system and workout and how to handle the sweat inside hair system. Can we take a bath with hair system daily ? Expecting your reply.

Jake I agree with much of what you said here but I wonder if based on what you said about beliefs, living with the belief that “nobody cares” is a healthy and even realistic approach?
The truth is that some people do, some people don’t and others are indifferent as is the case with most issues. Some women care about men’s’ issues when they see how it affects their brothers, dads and boyfriends, others don’t and many are unaware and indifferent or both. I could add that there are probably a lot of things about the female experience where women could say the something about us men.
Living with the “harsh truth” that nobody cares breeds nihilism and you’re a smart guy but for a lot of people without critical thinking skills, it’s one step away from andrew tate-ism.
this year, yes we need more discipline, ethics and better values but we also need to stop and appreciate the beautiful gift of living (even if it is doing something that holds great meaning to us but society tells us is useless or of no commercial value or unmanly etc) and most importantly, an education in critical thinking and appreciation of nuances when creating our reality tunnels.
    you’re an inspiration mate!!!

thank you for your comment. let me say i believe people are inherently good, and care about one another. HOWEVER, no one, as a man is coming to save you, or me.
if you're willing to bet against this ideology, i urge you to test it.
nihilism is the rejection of all religious and moral principles, in the belief that life is meaningless.
No where in my video have i denoted a nihilistic viewpoint. in fact, i speak to morals, ethics, and discipline.

Don't take advice from unqualified people. Too many complacent and miserable losers walking around giving ambitious people unsolicited advice trying to drag them down. If such people are in your family, learn to filter the noise and don't take it seriously. If a hair system improves any aspect of your life, don't let anyone talk you out of it. Always keep improving yourself.

Hey Jake, a dedicated viewer of your videos here. I was contemplating today about how the departure of a loved one could truly impact our souls. The pain I feel resonates deeply, especially since my girlfriend left around the same time. It's remarkable how such a blow can affect us more profoundly as we mature and grow older.
Yet, it's become apparent that this feeling of incompleteness only surfaces when we find ourselves alone. In some ways, I'm appreciative of her decision to leave. One reason being that I wouldn't want to be with someone who can't accept me for who I am. Moreover, we are still young, and there are countless opportunities for growth in various aspects of life.
Remember that video you made about traveling the world? I absolutely loved that idea! It opens up our minds to new experiences and who knows, maybe we'll find a traditional wife in some far-off corner of the world. Someone who truly relies on us, someone who embraces the idea of having a family with us - a true traditional partner. This stands in stark contrast to some individuals in certain dating scenes who just go from person to person, selfishly thinking only of themselves. Unfortunately, it seems that some countries have failed their men in this regard.
So, buddy, keep your head high, because you're a real man. You understand what it takes to be one, even though it's undeniably tough. But that what drives us to do more, to strive for the impossible, to acquire new skills, and to explore the world. We find ourselves in similar circumstances, and indeed, we shouldn't be swayed by shiny appearances. Instead, let's channel all the pain into fuel to become strong and accomplished men. We will build an empire, a force that nobody dares to mess with. Let's become ten times better than her and her new toy.
    Loved the video Jake!

You have to want the best for yourself, because most people do not want the best for you. Find those who will share in uplifting eachother, they are few, but they are there. There are people who use you and try to downgrade you to make themselves feel better; it's become normal in our modern world. The work place is a toxic environment for this. You will find 1 or 2 out of 20 that are willing to share in uplifting eachother. Join groups with similar interests where you will find more people like yourself. I have come so far since my devastating divorce. I treated myself good, took time to enjoy my life, learned how to day trade the stock market, increased my value at my work place, and met a woman that shares my values. It is so important to love yourself and think positive. Manifest your goals and feed positive things into your mind. Eat good nutritious food and exercise regularly. Healthy body; healthy mind; positive outcomes in your life. Make yourself shine.

You have to go into this as you do not give a shit. And if it does not work then shave your head. IE: Jake has a nice head and would look great bald.

I do consider my subconscious thoughts now knowing the metaphysical knowledge I know now. Your BEINGness is what attracts certain elements-good or bad. Thoughts are powerful cause that can lead to words, actions then habits. We are all programmed by others projections but once you gain a foothold of your divinity, you start to change the outer world through inner work.
