- Woman wakes up to a Canadian goose laying eggs on her porch - and keeps her fed and safe until the eggs hatch, despite her constant hissing!
Kelly told us what it was like to see a little beak pop out of an egg and watch the goose family (Dad included!) leave her home and walk all the way to a local pond 💛🐣

Geese: why is our neighbour following us everywhere? 😅
Good thing there not in Ohio where immigrants eat the birds.
@@susangoodman2598.
Really? "Immigrants" eat geese. Just them? So, the hunters in Ohio just shoot them for sport, and not for food?
@@susangoodman2598 delicious
@@susangoodman2598 I get what you are saying but what's any different from us eating chicken or ducks? I don't want to seem mean, but I'm genuinely confused.
@@Emari_Dragon127 This happened in my sister's town with swans. There were a pair that lived at the state house. They had clutch of cygnets after three years of not being able to hatch their eggs. An immigrant lured them and trapped every single one. He ate the parents and was keeping the babies to get big. The difference is these swans were beloved by the town, their purpose was not for eating.
I swear Canada keeps their anger in those geese.
They're very territorial and will hiss and chase you if you get too close. Wherever they are is theirs. 😊
Yep! I lived in Manitoba (Canada) as an American digital nomad. Lots of anger, and not just in the geese.
😂😂😂😂 love this
Wtf does that mean
maybe try russia
We don't need trumplican spew
"Humans being in 'their' territory." -You said is just right, Kelly! Thank you for taking care of this family and for your love, patience, and grace!❤
They tend to nest in the same place, so mark your calendar for their return next year.
That's amazing - you were a wonderful hostess! You might see this couple again. They often return to a place that has proven safe and comfortable. Terrific video.
Yep, was thinking the same thing😹😹
@@dawsieyes, I have heard they return to the place they were born🤔
Momma knows what is safe ❤
Not in Springfield, Ohio!
@@themeanhornet1070 oh no
@@semigoth299 oh yea…..go look what bringing in people that add no value to our country is doing. Alligators in Florida are not eating as many gooses and strays as these people are.
Safe until the Haitians get hungry
This pair are gonna use the porch every time now. When she finds out, maybe we get a video of her remaking a shelter for the birds next time they come around
Until the Haitians come to town
@@AntoineWilliams7118oh shut up.
We have two pairs of native Black Ducks that nest under our peppermint bush, beside our pool every year. And every year we have to fetch ducklings out of the pool and walk mama and a bucket full of ducklings, down to the lake. We do this to protect them from the crows, who will prey on teeny tiny ducklings. My hubby swears black and blue. My daughter and I, love it! 😂❤
Oh that is so sweet. Thank you for letting them have the bush & then getting them safely to the late.
It's also much better than a pool with chlorine! ❤
Safe shelter and a guardian who escorts them to a much better water source. No wonder those pairs come back year after year.
@@bethanysmith5856 😁
Check to make sure they are still there, the Haitians are coming
Aww 😊! What cute little fuzz balls. I'll never get tired of seeing baby birds in this stage of their lives and their sweet "peep, peep" sounds. 😊
What wonderful porch guests! I bet Mama appreciated your efforts!!
What an absolute pleasure it must be to host a Mother Goose and her babies. What a joy to experience, how adorable 🥰
I’m so glad that you made sure they were safe until they got to the pond. That would have been a big worry for me.
You're so lucky to experience their process from start to finish, up close & personal.
This mama Goose is something else!! She is just TOO STINKING CUTE FOR WORDS!! She is a Goose with attitude!! She had her babies and is living a GOOSE LIKE LIFE with her significant other!! Great Stuff!!
Well said and well done! Helping mama Canada Goose feel safe while incubating her eggs was so wonderfully kind. Wildlife needs all the help we can give because the human race has messed things up so terribly. This act of kindness goes such a long way not just for this goose family, but as a message to everyone to nurture wildlife and just to be more kind and considerate. Thank you!
I never heard of a goose that hissed. Thank you for watching over mama and her babies making sure that they have food and water and giving them their privacy and understanding and just being a good person. More people should be like this and respect the wild life. Those babies were so sweet and adorable.❤❤❤❤😂❤
Cobra Chickens
We have them in TN seasonally. And they're very mean lol and hiss a lot
Hissing is all they do!!
When I lived in Indiana, they hissed ALL the time. Especially if you got close to their babies
This dude has never heard of a cobra chicken...smh.
Fantastic, so fantastic. Thank you for taking care of them. They are so beautiful.
Thank you for your kindness 🙏🙏🙏🙏
The goose was like, “ not all humans are loud and annoying, this lady is pretty cool and you know what, I’ll say it…. She’s precious!”❤❤❤😊
You did a good job in giving Mama her space and lowering the stress level. I'm sure she appreciated getting breakfast in bed, too. Definitely, 5-star accomodations.😊
You might want to make some other provisions for her for next time, though. Now that she has found her "safe place" to roost, they'll be back!!! ❤❤❤
As the mom and dad geese led their goslings to the pond, I wonder how they were explaining their surroundings. As you can see, humans build their NESTS with bricks. And since they never learn to fly and most are too lazy to walk, they get around in these things called "cars." They must find us amusing!
There's a flock of Canada geese that come to our town park every year. I enjoy watching the goslings every year. Canada geese mate for life. She'll probably see this pair again.
That was a surprise. The lady handled that situation very well.
I've never had a problem with Canadian geese even hisding at me & I collected pecans only a couple of feet away from them.
Maybe it was because i talked siftly to them & didn't push in where they were standing.
Although one time i was at a bus bench & it was next to a big field area where the flocks were grazing. I had not one but 2 different geese, one from each flock, watching me the entire time I was there. They literally set a guard on me.
It was adorable.
One of my favorite birds .. that I have admired .. I have amazing photos of them.
HISSSSS (where's my free food and water?!) HISSSSS
Honk! Honk!
Patience for every animal. Sweet story. ❤
Thank you for saving Mama Goose and babies.😊😊
How very eloquently put!!! Absolutely beautiful living beings we share the planet with💜
Thank you for videoing this amazing experience! And thank you for being a compassionate human!!!
What an awesome experience! A beautiful little family.
Yes to this! More humans like you please!
What a wonderful soul you are. Thank You for being there for these beauties. 🪿🦆🇦🇺💖Your message to us all is well said and inspiring. 🪿💗
I live near to a park with a lake and the geese that live there are the nicest, sweetest and most peaceful animals I‘ve ever seen. They never attack people even when the have goslings, they just chill around you and walk away when you‘re coming too close. They have a watchful eye on dogs but I’ve only ever seen a goose hiss at them once. They‘re just so sweet I love them so much!
aaaah! finally someone who isn’t scared of a goose!
Loll
What a beautiful video! 🐾
Remember everybody commenting on mama goose. Daddy goose was right there standing guard! Definitely, don’t mess with a gander with a nesting mate!
Thank you for being Awesome!!! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
God bless you!!!
I agree with the two top posts, thank you for truly caring and making sure they all are well. 😇🥰
Wow! What an honor ❤
I absolutely adore geese! Thank you, Kelly, for being an awesome human.
Best human!
What a wonderful experience❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience. I really appreciate the research you did to make sure how to help them, but to let them stay wild as well. Well done! ❤
This is absolute precious....YOU LUCKY WOMAN!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now that they’ve successfully hatched a nest of goslings on that porch, these two geese will probably return next spring to nest again, they tend to return to the same nesting site year after year. I hope this lady is prepared!
This is so special to know and see them thriving. Thank you for sharing this moment
Brawo!! Udało się 🥰 Można powiedzieć,ze to twoja mała rodzina 💚
Thank you Kelly ❤️🥰🙅❤
❤how blessed too have such an experience.🤗
What a beautiful story.
I had the pleasure of becoming friends with a family of canadian geese this year and they truly are lovely intelligent birds , I became a kinda seragate uncle to the chicks and would be left to look after them while Mr Goose and Bella lagoosey would go off for a swim it was a memorable and lovely experience. Unfortunately I haven't seen them in over a month as i presume they have moved on now the little uns can fly. I do really miss them hopefully I will see them in the future
I have not experienced the cobra chicken rage that many others have but have seen it first hand as having a bond with them they became protective of me .
Such kool birds 😎
Way to go, human!
Great job! 🇨🇦
Such an amazing event you got to see up close and personal.
In Manitoba (Canada) and southern Minnesota, I've experienced flocks of Canadian geese while walking through parks and similar areas. They are very territorial. They aren't friendly birds as they will hiss, peck at your ankles and legs, leave poop everywhere, and do their best to chase you away.
Such a beautiful video to start my day 😊. God bless you for your kindness and compassion, as we see so little of that in the world we live in today. Love, prayers and blessings to you and your family ALWAYS 🙏🏾❤️. By the way, be prepared because they'll probably keep coming back to nest ❤❤😀
First time I saw a mother goose nesting in a human house. And daddy goose, too. 😊🦆🦆
You are such a good person to care so lovingly for the beautiful Canada Goose family.
Bless you for giving up your porch to help them
Canada geese are my favorite! I watched a small flock of geese in the pond in my back yard grow up this summer.
Nature should always be respected ❤Without them there is no us.
Gorgeous congratulations mother birds
Mother geese really are amazing. I remember finding a stray gosling while walking in a park one day. An hour in, and we found its mother and other goslings swimming in the lake. As soon as she saw us with her baby, she stopped at the side of the bank and patiently waited for us to return her baby. The experience was magical.
You did a wonderful thing for those geese. You should be very proud of your efforts. This Canadian thanks you for looking after our feathered friends.
thank you Kelly for giving mama a place to lay her eggs and raise her
adorable baby goslings!!
Wonderful video! 😂

The little knit on her nose 😍🥰
I left water & grapes cut in half 4 the mama goose nesting outside the building at SUNY Stony Brook
However 1 time I think the dad wanted to have his fun & attacked me 1 day; I think it was more 4 his ego; wanted to show the other students & ppl around how tough he was; I forgave him 😋🙏🥰
Kelly witnessed the miracle of life on her porch
Thank you for the warm smile
You are a very kind landlord…Thank you for your kindness to our beautiful Canadian geese🇨🇦❤

I don't know about geese, but some species of birds come back to nest at the same place every year.
Auntie Kelly... Absolutely gorgeous! Thx for sharing this! 💖🐣
