You really lucked out finding a lid and cup that fit one another right off the bat! There were multiple production runs of the usgi cups all of which are alittle different size wise. In searching I've found that the cups with the production markings "US 88 PAC FAB" fit the Pathfinder cup lid. Hope that helps someone out there!
Good video. My only suggestion would be to add the usgi nesting canteen cup stove and some Esbit fuel tabs to you kit....That way you are good to go for a quick hot cup of something without the need to build a fire. (Good when you are on the move and not setting an overnight camp).
do you think if canteen lid on the Nalgene oasis canteen is able to accept any drinking straw and drinking tube, making it a mini camelbak hydration system on the go ? ?
I really dig these

Good suggestion! I do have a USGI nesting stove but it does not stack nicely with the generic cup.

With the right size drill bit I think you could easily make that modification. However I think a dedicated drinking bladder would work better.
are those metal D rings ?
where did you get them from ?
These are plastic D rings which I got from a camping store.
I was just in JoAnn Fabrics and they had metal D rings.
