Cannot get it to work, pressing preview gives no sound. My icon not showing but the description is there. In fmod I can play the sound and hear it fine. I am restarting the process. Your folders are all over the place, hard to find anything. I am easily confused, too old, memory not good. When you say there are two ways, I get lost. // Update: Got it setup. First my icon is not showing, description is there. Pressing [Preview] button gets a "few" of the sounds, but many are silent.
This is so frustrating. I've tried using Fmod 2.02.05 and 2.01.05, for 1.43 template and 1.39, while the descriptions, thumb and the voice selection is there, there is no sound coming out of it even when using your audio files. The documentation is not updated yet, so. I assume it's still work just fine for newer versions.
Nevermind. I found the problem. You have to make sure to make your own scs file when using 7zip and set the compression to 0 (store), if you're just replacing files or using existing scs file it won't work.
After trying multiple times I can only hear the sounds by pressing the preview. Nothing happens when driving. Console isn't giving out any errors either
Hi, this did happen to me. My problem was that I was using a wrong version of FMOD. I dont know why, but this mod that i made for 1.39 still works for the current version of the game. Maybe try with FMOD version for 1.39 ETS2/ATS
Hi, please make sure that every version of every software is the correct for the corrent version of ETS2/ATS. I had this issue and solved it by using the correct versions.

Can you make one that tells you what direction to go in advance, rather than 4 seconds before you have to make a turn. It would be nice to know what lane to stay on 500 meters in advance.
The timings and what to say on the GPS is fixed by ETS2 / ATS Studios. We have a limit amount of lines with a limit amount of time to say the lines we want. Unless they changed this or added more lines, I don't think it's possible. Sry
I tried so many times with latest version of v1.48. But I could't get it to work. Please, anyone here able to convert my sound file to a gps mod, really appreciate it!
So right now the wiki's listed FMOD version is not the same as the game's current version. It also doesn't match the template version. I first used the latest versions but FMOD said the template was from a past version and it wanted to migrate the template to the new version. I followed your video and the game recognized the mod but my GPS voice didn't show up in the GPS navigation list. I then uninstalled that version and then used same versions you did, I followed everything again, the sound files I used were converted from a bunch of MP3 files from a text to speech A.I. into OGG, I put them through FMOD, and I created the text files for the manifest sii files. The game recognizes the mod in the mod manager, it picks up the mod description and such, but when I activate the mod it doesn't show up in my GPS navigation list. I thought I did everything right, but obviously I didn't lol. I just don't know what I did wrong because I'm so new to modding.
@@sirbordas I had a slight feeling that was the cause. Now I'm confused because if the versions on the wiki don't work then what versions do I use? Unless I didn't follow the tutorial right.
@@truckeroctoling3880 Are you using FMOD version 2.02.05. It's the new one for ETS2/ATS 1.43 - modding.scssoft.com/wiki/Documentation/Engine/Sound/Downloads however the wiki also states a master bank for version 1.43 using FMOD version 2.01.05 in the Master Bank Template section.
@@truckeroctoling3880 One thing, I've played ETS2 a couple of days ago, and a friend of mine said that my mod was still working on his game. I made the mod for version 1.39, we are currently in version 1.43, I would try it using FMOD version for ETS2 1.39.
Thank you, this works perfectly for the current game version (1.50 as of writing)
Excellent tutorial. Very clear and easy to follow.
Excelente tutorial! Uma curiosidade: Brasileiro?

Ok I got as far as the window multi routing part and I do not see the those other files in that part where I have to drop it into "games > Navigation"

The one recommended on the ets wiki

Some of those files will help with Steam Workshop.
