Thanks so much for your time and knowledge, after watching many tutorials on youtube I found yours, the simplest most direct least confusing of so many out there, to follow ....... much appreciated .
Thank you sooo much for all your tutorials! After watching this one a few times I finally was able to make a truck node. Definitely a lot of places to go wrong. One thing I did mess up was not assigning my root SCS node to the same exact place of the model locator. It was an easy fix once I realised what was happening. Keep up the awesome tutorials mate!!!
Thanks! This is the bare bones of blender modelling. Without needing to setup folders, addons etc you can get a new accessory done in about 10 minutes. I will be covering the Look and Variant system in ETS2/ATS at some point as well.
Please, if you have the opportunity, put the tutorial on discussing the complete sii files and editing them and the topic of hookups in your channel, because it is really a pity if these tutorials are not complete. Anyway, thank you for all your efforts.
I've been away for a couple years now due to personal reasons and have just got back. It's quite possibly something has been misnamed in the accessory definition file. Double check those.
I do everything the same as you but from minute 7:30 onwards I only get error messages in Blender. I don't know what's wrong. It annoys me that I can't create a mod
Hello, I also need your help. I follow everything you do on a tutorial but the difference is that I took a volvo fh 2012 from SCS. I follow everything you do until minute 06:29 until the export but I notice that you have the ubgrade file but I don't.. and further enter that folder to put cube.pmd and the textures but I don't understand what I can do if I don't have that folder.. Thank you, sorry to bother you!
There is a lots of tutorials and most of them in indonesian language very hard to understand , thank u sir for your tutorials , can u please make a tutorial about how to edit a truck body chasis and make some custom accesories like wide body , custom front and back ?
is there a way to add the accesories to the truck in blender all at once and on their position already ? or atleast something similar to this even its 1by1
hey there....awesome tutorials...Ive used them to great effect. I'd like to know how to make an accessory that has hookup slots only with no model in blender please.
I haven't done hookup slot tutorials in 2 years. I think the only way you can do that without a model is to make the node in Blender. What accessory are you making that has no model? I'm confused
@@tristanmartin4560 as far as I know you have to import the bumper. Just copy and paste the locator nodes and rename them. I did that on the 1632NG and the International LT addons mod.
Is it a problem if I do not have the mod folder on C:! What files are created here at the video 14:00? At 7:57 a Locator is created I see the already when I activate the mod? I have the following folder: material, vehicle, including pmg and pit files, but with you the files are somewhere else? What am I doing wrong. Thanks for your help.
At 14:00 that's from importing the truck, files are created automatically in the work folder you make at the beginning when you import the w900. No locator is created at 7:57, the orange axis is the game_object (the truck) which holds all the model locators, pieces etc. I don't know what's wrong because I can't see your folder. It needs to follow the structure I show.
@@digitalx8460 I import the truck, folders are created, make a locater export and pack mod afterwards. After that I have a zip in the mod folder, zb. cubetest.zip. Can I see here already with this created zip (mod) the locator on the truck?! Sorry, anyway thank you already.
every time I place the textures and export the message "Texture file" from material 'mat_0001 plastic leather doesn't exist inside current Project Base Path. TOBJ won't be exported and reference will remain empty, expect problems" the textures turn pink
It's been a long time since I modded. A lot has happened. In Blender when you set up paths for your project folder make sure they're accurate. They need to be at the folder level that your truck is at. Also check your material textures drop down option i think it had to be a tobj file then click the cog/wheel icon and it should change into a tobj and give the correct texture.
@@DigitalXUK The texture paths are all correct, the textures are in the correct sizes, they are all in tga, the tobj is also correct, but every time I export it, I get this error, I don't understand why I'm doing it the same way all the videos teach, but theirs never give errors.
@lucasgtv I should be back online properly soon and I'll make a tutorial on this. As long as the texture exists in the base path it should be OK. Do any of the directories regarding materials have a red colour on them? That indicates an error. I had that problem myself so ill have to relearn how to do all this. Shouldn't be too bad though.
@@DigitalXUK I saw it here and there is nothing wrong with the texture, it wasn't supposed to give this error, if one day you could make a video showing what can solve this error I would appreciate it, since I've been there for a year and I can never fix it, I have my trucks and I can't change anything about them
Thank you so much for this man! This helped me a lot creating my first ever mod! I have a question. What should i do if i want different texture choices for the cube?
You're welcome, regarding different textures on the cube (or any accessory for that matter) I will be creating a video on the Look and Variant system, that covers textures and different shapes from the same model. I will probably get around to it tomorrow or the weekend.
Hello Sir, do you have any idea about how to change the in-game name of the accessory locator? Like in your case it came as cube in-game as it's named like that in truck base , but is there any way to somehow show it as different name like "Front Cube" (for example) in-game
It's been a long time since I've modded. In the Definition file for the accessory at the top it should say something similar to: "bumper.cube.pete389" It's separated by full stops.
If you have the cube (game_object) centered in Blender, wherever your node is on the cabin model, that is where the cube will spawn. If you place the "cube" model locator on the roof then the cube in game will be on the roof with the model locator.
I wonder if you can help me. I made a Steering Wheel in Blender, to use with a Scania NextGen. I modelled it and tried to pack it into a Mod with the latest Blender Option. It did pack it and the ZIP seems to contain everything. But the Mod simply doesn´t show up ingame. So what did i wrong?
Hello! Thank you for your guide. I've been wanting to make an interior cabin accessory but I haven't found much videos regarding to that. To make an cabin accessory, do I import the interior model of the preferred truck instead and follow the guide or need to do something else? If you have any ideas or documentations or videos on how-to, I would be very happy if you would share them as I quite need a point of direction to begin with. Regards.
I can make a video on how to do the interior accessory sometime next week. It works very similar to the exterior accessory. I've done an interior accessory for the GPS on the 9900i Addons mod.
@@digitalx8460 Looking forward to an interior accessory tutorial as well. I understand that the process is similar to the exterior, but a proper tutorial from you about it would be immensely appreciated (particularly, I'm curious how the Sisl's Megapack can put one accessory in different areas, like, the same magazine can be put on the floor and on the dashboard as well). And thanks already for all the tutorials you've released so far, you're definitely the best at explaining how to do things properly when it comes to ETS2 modding.

It is very important for me and I guess because of the new update. Game This problem has occurred and it is possible that the sii file should be changed
Double check your accessory .sii file. I've made accessories on 1.44 and it works the same way. Check the game.log for clues. Start at the bottom of the file and go up.
tried to add to the body of the trailer. I made a locator (test), registered a folder named locator (test) in the accessories folder. No point. I'll prescribe (in body.sii) defaults[]: ".../accessory/test/shape00.sii" - appear on the model but there is no way to remove or change it. It seemed easy, but I can't.
You're missing a mat file. When you make your truck accessory and load into the game and see the "no texture found" close the game, and check the game.log for any missing .mat files. Then all you need to do is find the specific automat folder in the truck accesosry mod (f7, bc etc) and copy it over into the main truck mod. If that makes sense?
