I just howl at how Simon dressed with his wild shorts and shirt. My hubby often does a similar combo and is so proud of himself. I showed him Simon in this vlog and he laughed and said, "that's my boy" LOL
Always look forward to your vlogs! I'm so glad Bean is ok. Such a worry when older dogs have to go under anesthetic, I really felt for you in that clip ❤️❤️ Love how the others were all concerned for him when he came back home
Honestly love yours & Simon's banter, you guys crack me up! Also love how you almost got more excited about the meringues than the actual lipsticks, you really are a breath of fresh air Emma
I really don't enjoy watching vlogs but I am so hooked on yours! I love your casual vibe, humor, style, and dogs!! keep it up because I know we all want to keep watching! :)
Cool vlog ! 👍👍Poor bean he was looking so sad ! And Simon like always he’s so funny 😆 😆with his look in the wood ! You are exited for your next trip ! See you in the next vlog ! Love you ! 😉😘😘
So when you do your q&a video can you talk about your career and the journey to get where you are? What career/jobs did you have before blogging? What got you into fashion/blogging? How long have you been doing it full time? Why did you decide to add in RUclips? Thanks! Hope you get som nice fall foliage for your trip. Mid Oct will be peak for where I live in Cleveland.
Had a little tear when you got upset over little bean! I'm exactly the same over our puppies too. These pets cause us so much stress don't they but wouldn't be without them! So glad I found you recently through Lizzie, you girls are the best!xxx
Emma, shade #2 looks great on you! Broke my heart when you took Bumble that morning. If you remember, I'm the woman who has the 2 chihuahuas, Joey and Chandler. Chandler was in emergency vet Thursday til Sunday because he's newly diagnosed diabetic at 10'years old and his glucose was very high. He has never been away from me or Joey and that was hard. His glucose is still high and he is tired. It may take a while to regulate it. Also very expensive, $4,000 so far, wow! Well, thanks for sharing your life, it cheered me up today you showing the babies. I have been to the Berkshires to Edith Wharton's house, wasn't anything to write home about and the tour guide was rather rude. Did see a bear outside house we stayed in. Have some lobster bisque, so very good. 😘
It was actually Bean we took for surgery, not Bumble, but I know all these B's can be confusing 🙊 I'm so sorry about little Chandler, that's so sad, I hope he will be ok ♥️ The fee's are crazy but there's never even a moment where we doubt paying them, it's all worth it for these little bundles of love ☺️
Why are you guys so funny hahah. Newly subscribed and already obsessed. 3you can't walk with your shoes", ans outfit appropriate hahhaha. I guess I have a lot to catch up on. Thanks for the contents and for sharing. Love you guys already ;) Take care
I'm so happy that the little pup is fine and everything went well ❤ Can't wait to see your next video, I absolutely love your style! (Both for fashion and for editing/content related stuff). Hope the rest of the week goes fine!!
Emma i'm glad Bean is okay :) and i really love how you and Simon interacted lol too funny!! - they got all your catch phrases on it bla bla and oh lala - *precious!! 🤣
oh my god, that trips sounds so good!! I've spent half a year as an exchange student in Newport, New Hampshire in Highschool and the New England Area is just soooo beautiful! My host family took me on several trips over the weekends all over Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont where we stayed in cozy cabins by the lake, had fresh crabs and went hiking and skiing in the white mountains. No matter where you go, you'll love it. I promise :)
Aww it was so sweet how worried you were about little bean. I have a chihuahua mix and I know the struggles of bad teeth in small dogs. Glad he’s ok :)
The triumphant return of The Nibbled Hem! Hooray! Also, I hope you enjoy my native land (Canada). Montreal is spectacular, and the street fashion is inspiring.
Hi Emma So glad Bean is well, I just wanted to give you a big big hug. Loved your vlog Simon creases me, shorts and socks pulled up as far as they will go LMAO,,, when I visit my brother he comes down like that and tells me he's ready to go out, he loves to wind me up. Simon brought out the fancy word this vlog love it. Seed planted will order me some pj's, see you Sunday Ria xx
Thank you so much for featuring the pjs at the end. My mum and younger sisters had to seek help from Refuge few years ago and they were amazing. Now I can buy her these for Christmas and she'll know first hand how important each sale is and love how special it is to her - two presents in one
Ahhh Zoe, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum and sisters but it's such a great charity and I'm glad to support and spread the word if it means more women, children and men can get the help they need. Love to you and your family xxx
Thank you, I'm so proud of them, they've been remarkable in how far they've come rebuilding their lives. It's a scary position to be in but for anyone who feels trapped, know that there is a way out! Grateful that you're raising awareness. Much love xxx
I feel like I might like that cartoon! Love that you and Lizzy are friends! Saw you in her Vlog and was very pleased. Oh ur poor little pup, when you cried it was heart breaking :(
So excited for your trip! And what a perfect time of year to visit New England! The foliage is incredible so spend as much as you can in Vermont and New Hampshire. Burlington VT is beautiful, so many cute little shops and day hikes! The Vermont country store in Rockingham VT is so cute omg you'll die, it's this massive old country store filled with old toys and games and tons of free cheese samples (I probably convinced you with that last part). The original ben and jerrys factory is in Burlington and so many cute restaurants on Church St. Southern NH and VT is full of little mom and pop shops. I love Brattleboro VT, it is SO charming! Main St Keene NH has a lot of character too. I grew up in New Hampshire and Vermont and now I live in Boston so ask me all the questions! Have the best time!!
I love watching your vlogs . Glad Bean is on the mend . I love your Simon’s dress sense , so miss matched and he doesn’t care . Just like my other half 🤣 Your style is so on point , I have been getting some great ideas from your looks . , thank you 😘
So glad bean is ok. Our little puppy is having lots of tests at the moment for kidney issues and it's heartbreaking!!! So pleased it went well though, lots of cuddles needed!!! I went to Boston and Salem two octobers ago. We visited Salem on Halloween and it's an experience. Very busy! We found it was abit hectic by about 8pm and you really have to book if you want to get lunch or dinner. But worth going day/early evening for the experience! Boston is just beautiful and such a relaxed city we loved it!! Xxx
Miss Emma, such an exciting trip coming up!! First of all Montreal, Quebec is one of the most beautiful cities. Enjoy Rue Saint Catherine, Old Montreal and Mount Royale. Montreal is very European, especially Old Montreal. Vermont is beautiful to drive through in October, especially if you get to make a pit stop in Stowe. It's such a quaint and pretty little town. Boston. Bean Town is such a hip town. It's full of history and academia. Great shopping too. So excited for you and your Simon. I love his boxers. Now that's a man with style. Of course he matches, it's called wearing "a pair of pants, a shirt and a cap." Anything more, like matching, is superfluous. So enjoy you both!!! So real and sincere!!
Catching up on all the Vlogs and wondering what you do to keep your designer shoes nice? You mentioned in this video you need the Chanel slingbacks resoled?
Hi Emma~ I love your style! Don't change, and tell Simon, I love his dog walking outfit, exactly like what my husband would wear out dog walking....lol xo from CA and that KurtGeiger bag is gorgeous~
I grew up in Nashua, NH! Live in NYC now, but we visit New England all the time. Depending when in Oct. you are in Vermont, you may be able to catch the end of the foliage season. Burlington, Vermont is amazing, tons of cute shops and restaurants. Prohibition Pig in Waterbury, VT is a must for lunch!
I live in Vermont. The foliage might be at peak when you are on your trip. Stowe, Burlington, and Woodstock are all beautiful places. Waterbury, Vermont has the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory, and Cold Hallow Cider Mill. Get some apple cider doughnuts. Make sure they give you the freshest warm ones. It's not too far off from Interstate 89.
I'm so excited for you visiting the Northeast!! I live in New Hampshire :) I agree with people who have suggested Burlington, VT. Super cool place! I also like Brattleboro in Southern VT. As for NH, Portsmouth is one of the coolest towns with lots of cute shopping and historical charm. Portland, Maine is another great spot if you were going up that far. You can find a lot of classic New England charm in the area you mentioned, but a lot of it is going to be more rural, outdoorsy, a very "small town America" feel. If you like hiking or anything like that, October is a great time of year because the air is crisp and all the leaves are changing color! Out of all the cities around the world I've been to, Boston is still my favorite. I hope you guys love it! Can't wait to see where you go :)
I am glad that Bean is fully recovered! Great vlog! I recently went to the Canadian Rockies (Banff and Jasper). Unfortunately, it is on the other side of Canada and some roads are closed during winter time (around Oct-May). I cannot recommend this place enough.
Hello! Montrealer born and bred if you'd like some tips on where to go 🙋🏼 For the rest...You'll drive through Vermont to get to Boston so try Burlington or Stowe. On the way back, you can go the long way, towards Sherbrooke, Quebec and drive through the eastern townships. North Hatley is a great little town, worth the detour! Oh, and the trees will be juuussssst past their peak but still gorgeous! Happy to help if you need more ideas.
hi emma so glad bean is ok i can understand how you get sad at times like that i have two yorkies spencer 11 and tye 8 spencer is a diabetic which was found out in april and he is going blind so sad seeing him bump into things so i had a lot of tears this morning i love him so much just as you do with your dogs xx
OMG Girl, you broke my heart as I 100% sympathize. My two dogs despite our efforts have a lot of tartar on their teeth. We have mulled it over about a proper cleaning and decided that this summer we would do it. However my one baby is 10 and the anesthesia makes me very nervous. The other is 5 and I think she would be ok - but I just couldnt. I canceled the appointment because it terrified me so much. Unless the teeth are rotten and need to come out, we will continue to do what we can. They are our children. We are going to Mexico in a few weeks and we need to board them. Our boarder is great and we use them often for over night trips or two night trips, I just couldn't imagine them away from their home for 6 days. I decided to fly my parents from Canada to NYC to watch the puppers while we are away. I didn't care how much it cost, they come first. Im insane, I know. So seeing you upset, I am like.. yup. Been there. But he is ok and has nothing but love from his pack and Simon and you. I am going to DM you on insta. I hate Montreal,, Boston is great, Salem is cute and I know a few places in between! Or at least, worth the detour.
I would definitely reconsider the teeth cleaning. Bean is 12 and has a heart murmur and so this was a huge risk but he had a heart scan before he went under just to check the state of his murmur and the vet carefully monitored his heart rate and if anything abnormal started happening they assured us they would wake him up straight away. However Bean's teeth were in a right state, he had had an abscess a couple of weeks before so he needed this doing. But he's a new dog now, he's got so much more life and the vet said he would have been in pain before but he wouldn't have shown it. It's just good to keep on top of because before you know it the plaque can turn into something else and by that point your little one at 10 might be too old to go under or the risk may have increased and he/she might be in pain. So one lesson we've learnt is 'sooner rather than later' 💋
I know I am echoing a lot of your followers on here already but I just wanted to say I'm glad Bean is ok. I could tell you had been crying before you said what was wrong. It made me feel upset for you. I too have a little one who is also a senior. She was attacked a year ago and had to have emergency surgery. I thought I would never stop crying. So scary when they are under anaesthetic and/or unwell. So glad he is through the other side. Dogs always seem to recover much quicker than humans😊. On a side note: love the Jigsaw coat on you. Very stylish.
Burlington, Montpelier and Woodstock Vermont. Franconia Notch New Hampshire or the Maine Seacoast. Hopefully there will still be some colorful leaves on the trees. Autumn in New England is glorious! Have fun!
When you got upset it broke my heart only a mother can understand!!! On a lighter note I love Simon walking the dog attire very LA on a sunny day lol Keep them coming you legend!!
We just came back from Boston - It's such an awesome city. Definitely do the freedom trail and take a tiny detour to Pauli's for lunch halfway round (the wraps are insane), check out Assembly Row for outlet shopping & Newbury st for everything else. There's also a fab converse shop underneath their head office on the river! Harvard and MIT are worth a wander round and check out Darwins near the Harvard campus for sandwiches. Give the tea party museum a miss, it's good but a bit of a rip off! If you go as far up as Maine (Although doesn't look like you are planning to), Ogunquit is a beautiful seaside town. Boston has a beautiful arboretum (get off the T at forest hills) which will be amazing once the leaves start to turn - walk up to the top of peters hill for a view of the city. Final recommendations for food in Boston: a restaurant called Gyu-Kaku which is Japanese BBQ (near Harvard)🍗 and there is a bookshop called Trident on Newbury street which has a cafe that serves all day breakfast (the challah French toast is excellent) 😁
I'm from New Hampshire! Portsmouth, NH is very cute and has quite a few restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend it! The Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont is also a great stop! Enjoy your trip! I'm so glad that Bean is okay!
Hey Emma, I grew up in Boston and ski in Vermont / New Hampshire, so I have a few suggestions for your trip! The Mount Washington Resort in NH I think is the best way to get a quintessential New England experience. It’s located in the mountains which have great nature walks and views. There is a great little town called North Conway that’s worth a visit. I have also heard great things about Portland, Maine. In Boston, definitely visit Quincy Market and Boston commons. THE best restaurant in Boston is Figs on Charles St. It’s also worth having a wander around Harvard Square. All of these places will be so lovely in Autumn. Food-wise, if you like seafood, you’ve come to the right place. Lobster rolls and cod are absolute musts! Have an amazing time and let me know if you have any questions!
Montréal !!! A great part of our city is the food scene, perfect for a big fan of food like you 🙃. Here are a few you should definitely try. You got to try the famous Poutine, @ La Banquise. Also Montréal is famous for its bagels, St-Viateur Bagels are the best and are also in a great area call Mile End. Old port is very nice (very Parisian style architecture), you can walk by the water. Try Venice MTL (poke bowl) and Olive et Gourmando (amazing sandwiches), great little boutique in front call Espace Pépin. So many option and things to do over here. I live in Montréal, if you need more tips, don’t hesitate. You guys are going to love it !! As a others suggested, a stop at Burlington, VT is a must. Nice little city on the other side of the border !
OMG I have a lot to tell you about your Boston trip. I've lived there for over 20 years, literally just moved from there to NYC last weekend. Where are you staying? There's a cool hotel called The Liberty Hotel which used to be a jail, now is a hotel. Even if you don't stay there go check it out and eat dinner at Scampo and have drinks in the lobby bar. It's at the foot of Beacon Hill. Charles Street in Beacon Hill is probably one of the only shopping destinations where it is small boutiques and no big chain stores. But go to Newbury Street and the Copley Mall for the high end designer shops. If you want a truly decadent brunch, go to Mistral in the South End. I also love to belly up to the bar there for dinner. If you like museums, go to the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. It was her home with her personal art collection as she had it when she was alive. It is truly a unique museum and just so beautiful. Boston is very small and walkable so I would just explore. Since you'll be coming from Montreal, you should definitely stop somewhere in Vermont. It's a beautiful state with lots of greenery and mountains. There's a really good restaurant in a town called Waterbury (right outside of Stowe) called Hen of the Wood. Enjoy your trip!!
Wow that's so great thank you so much for all your recommendations! We're noting everything down 🙌🏼 So many people have told me how gorgeous Boston is and we're both really excited to visit and explore. We have't got anywhere booked yet apart from Salem because we had to due to the time of year, we prefer to bookman we travel, I just book everywhere on an app as we know where were going to be on what day. We road tripped around the States for 6 weeks last year and that's what we did the whole way, it's like an adventure for us 🙊
Emma Hill Hello! Vermonter here, who now lives in Boston. Would highly recommend visiting Vermont if you can! It is absolutely lovely this time of year and Burlington is only a 3.5 hr drive. It has loads of beautiful restaurants and sits right on a Lake Champlain. Enjoy your trip and let us know if you need any more recommendations!
Emma Hill I'm a Boston-native, too! Probably one of the best places in the US! OP basically got everything but please do check out Lolita, a gothic-themed/tapas restaurant in Back Bay. Also, since you're cutting through Maine, Portland is very, very cute with good seafood. Cant wait for the vlogs!New England is so underrated & so beautiful 😍
Hey! Montrealer here - Would highly recommend Arthur's Nosh Bar for brunch (or any other time really), Holt Renfrew for high-end shopping, the Old Port for its cobblestone charm ad a million and one restaurant options, and the Field Guide boutique hotel in Stowe, Vermont (just 2 hours' drive away) for the gorgeous Fall foliage. Actually, since you'll be staying around New England for your trip, check out the Lark Hotel group - they are renowned for their beautifully designed boutique hotels in the Northeast, and breakfast is always included (they're also very insta-chic :)). Lastly, would be lovely to meet you if you ever decide to do a meet-up in Montreal!
I'm sooo happy your baby boy is doing well. I know how stressful that can be. I have one of my babies that needs a good teeth cleaning. He has a form of kidney disease and I need to prep him with his meds a week before I plan on doing it!! I'll be a slobbering mess!!! Loved all your outfits!! Can't wait for the next one!
I’m from Massachusetts, and you’ll love your trip from Montreal to Boston/Salem. You should definitely check out Burlington, Vermont, and the White Mountains in New Hampshire are beautiful. You could do Mount Washington, but in October expect below freezing temps and minus zero wind chills. The Berkshires in Massachusetts are known for their foliage. By mid to late October the best foliage will be lower Vermont/New Hampshire and Mass. Have a great trip!
I'm going to Boston in late October, too! It's one of my favorite US cities, and the shopping there is great because the people in Boston aren't too fashion-y, so the Saks and Barneys always have pieces you would think were sold out everywhere. I second the comments recommending Burlington, Vermont, and if you're looking for some good/fancy eats while in Boston, I highly recommend Toro, Saltie Girl, Select Oyster Bar, L'Espalier, and No. 9 Park (soooo good, that one's my fave). Have fun!! I've never been to Montreal as an adult, so would really like going there someday - looking forward to those vlogs!
I’m so glad pup is all good, when you cried I felt so sad💕😩
I enjoy your channel so much. You and Simon have such precious banter.
I just howl at how Simon dressed with his wild shorts and shirt. My hubby often does a similar combo and is so proud of himself. I showed him Simon in this vlog and he laughed and said, "that's my boy" LOL

Yes there is. LOL. we should have a meet up party soon!
Your dogs are so cute, I shed a tear too, my dogs are my whole life .

Thank you so much! x
I absolutely love watching your little dogs play! There so cute!
Sounds delicious, thank you for your suggestions! x
Thank you so much Emily, we're jotting all this down xxx
bows whole butt wiggles when she wags her tail and i LOVE IT!! 💗
Isn't it just the cutest thing! I love that about her, she's the only one that does it but it melts my heart ♥️
Rick and Morty! Yes Simon! great show! haha xx
2/3 of my roommates watch Rick & Morty and it is literally so annoying. I feel you. Hahaha.
Aww I'm glad bean had a successful surgery.
Love the vlogs. So glad Bean is ok x
Thank you ♥️
I am glad that Bean is fully recovered! Great vlog! I recently went to the Canadian Rockies (Banff and Jasper). Unfortunately, it is on the other side of Canada and some roads are closed during winter time (around Oct-May). I cannot recommend this place enough.
Hello! Montrealer born and bred if you'd like some tips on where to go 🙋🏼
For the rest...You'll drive through Vermont to get to Boston so try Burlington or Stowe. On the way back, you can go the long way, towards Sherbrooke, Quebec and drive through the eastern townships. North Hatley is a great little town, worth the detour! Oh, and the trees will be juuussssst past their peak but still gorgeous! Happy to help if you need more ideas.
So great, thank you so much! Were so excited to visit your beautiful city 🙌🏼
hahaha, my husband is obsessed with Rick and Morty too!!! Felt so sorry for Bean, hope he's okay!
He's much better now thank you x
hi emma so glad bean is ok i can understand how you get sad at times like that i have two yorkies spencer 11 and tye 8 spencer is a diabetic which was found out in april and he is going blind so sad seeing him bump into things so i had a lot of tears this morning i love him so much just as you do with your dogs xx
Such darlings! The little pups!
Emma you are awesome so love your humor!!! Love your channel!! Glad all is good with your doggie!!! ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Thank you ♥️
Your vlogs are hilarious!! but Simon's OOTD's are fabulous :)
Glad your dog is ok - Simon is too funny with his shorts what’s he like x
Thank you ♥️
OMG Girl, you broke my heart as I 100% sympathize.
The eastern townships (near sherbrooke, QC) are gorgeous for hiking and scenery this time of year! And on the way to the US border from mtl.
Good old Bean, glad he is ok. Loves the sofa choices Simon was sitting in. Did you get one ? Those lippies are really nice too. Thanks for the vlog
No we couldn't quite agree on one, so the sofa search continues 🙊
You'll love Montreal! There is a great walking food tour that gives you a tour of the city with yummy eats. Montreal bagels!
Ooooo yummmmmm! x
Thank you so much ♥️
Sugarbush and Stowe Ski Resorts are in such a charming area of Vermont. Definitely worth a visit! X
Burlington, Montpelier and Woodstock Vermont. Franconia Notch New Hampshire or the Maine Seacoast. Hopefully there will still be some colorful leaves on the trees. Autumn in New England is glorious! Have fun!
Thank you ! x
Good to hear Bean has fully recovered, bless him, he looked like he was being visited in prison when he came back.
😂 Thank you ♥️
Kurt Geiger bag 🙌🏻, I thought it was the Balenciaga that has the scarf also!
👭great you are friends with Lizzy!
When you got upset it broke my heart only a mother can understand!!!
On a lighter note I love Simon walking the dog attire very LA on a sunny day lol
Keep them coming you legend!!
Thank you ♥️
We just came back from Boston - It's such an awesome city.
I forgot a thing! Check out the Mapparium at the Christian Science church!
So glad to see that Bean’s okay! Dogs are so great to have but bring so much anxiety when they reach old age😥
Thank you ♥️
I'm from New Hampshire! Portsmouth, NH is very cute and has quite a few restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend it! The Ben and Jerry's factory in Vermont is also a great stop! Enjoy your trip! I'm so glad that Bean is okay!
You had me at Ben & Jerry's!!!! 😱♥️
Oh god the last outfit was so beautiful😍😩
Thank you very much ♥️
Hey Emma, I grew up in Boston and ski in Vermont / New Hampshire, so I have a few suggestions for your trip! Have an amazing time and let me know if you have any questions!
thank you. x
Omg that outfit Simon wore to the vets 👌🏽😂 LOVE his “IDGAF” attitude 🔥 P.S. love that new HM coat Emma 😍
haha thanks x
Aww😒it broke my heart just how upset you were about your baby😥! Happy to know It all went well x
Thank you ♥️
Montréal !!!
Thank you so much, poutine is top of the list 🙊🤤
Simon is watching Rick and Morty ? Great :D I like it too :D
am glad Bean is Okay. bless your cute dogs ❤❤
Hello , which lipstick were you wearing on the Monday ? It looked really nice 👌🏻
I linked that in the description box for you guys x
Only you-tuber I watch as soon as I get the notification- love your vlogs Emma and I'll have to check your blog out!
Ahhhh fanx 🙈☺️
Damn girl. you nailed it. I totally agree with all these recs. Emma, you should do a meet up in Boston!
Salem is so awesome during Halloween!!!! I live an hour away. Burlington Vermont is also beautiful!
Ahhh poor little lamb, yeh it's not nice but we're so glad he had them removed because he's so much happier now ☺️♥️
Aweeee Beanie 💕 Glad he's well. 😊
Thank you ♥️
Every time I see one of your videos I desperately want the black Gucci loafers!!! Btw love love love your vlogs!
Glad Bean is okay, leaving your fur baby at the vet for surgery is always tough!
Thank you ♥️
I’m from Massachusetts, and you’ll love your trip from Montreal to Boston/Salem.
Thank you so much, noting all this down in our planner, we're so excited! x
I second the Saltie Girl recommendation. Also Neptune Oyster if the oyster spots are your thing.
Thank you both xxx
