ABOUT RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN
After long and highly distinguished careers with other collaborators, Richard Rodgers (Composer, 1902-1979) and Oscar Hammerstein II (Librettist/Lyricist, 1895-1960) joined forces in 1943 to create the most successful partnership in American musical theater. Prior to joining forces, Rodgers collaborated with lyricist Lorenz Hart on musical comedies that epitomized wit and sophistication (Pal Joey, On Your Toes, Babes In Arms and more), while Hammerstein brought new life to operetta and created the classic Show Boat with Jerome Kern. Oklahoma!, the first Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, introduced an integrated form that became known as “the musical play.” Their shows that followed included Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music. @@PlanetBobstar yeah, trying to balance a backload of cleaning up and fixing my apartment, but also trying not to further injure myself in the process. Trying too hard, out of panic and digust can sometimes set you back further. One can injure themselves further. Taking my rest and time. Time for myself, for I must learn to care for myself in order to care for others. Too much pride has put me back, but, nothing wrong in asking for help and being patient. Humble. Kind. Quiet. Respectful. Confused. And picking up the pieces of my shattered heart and life. Step by step. Bit by bit. Like setting up my Lego's or navigating a game of Jenga for health and safety. Excellent self care. I shall see it through. Faith. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🤗🩹
