Great idea if you don't have colored acrylic! I noticed that you always show full sets, don't you do fills?
Yes I do not a lot of my clients get fills, very few.
@@Deenailslayer so each month you do a removal and new full set? If so what is the benefit of doing new sets instead on doing a fill☺️
@@i.8885 my clients usually come every month or every 3 weeks. The benefit is it saves me time drilling the whole set down and starting back from scratch. I would charge a new color/redesign the same as a full set so my clients usually just like to get a new set. If it’s just a back fill using the same color acrylic I do those often i just don’t record them because it’s already something I’ve already uploaded.

I really don't understand how nail techs use so much acrylic without making the nails look thick. I try doing my acrylics myself and watching videos and it's still always a fail. When I use colored acrylic powder, it doesn't apply opaque it's sheer and uneven, I can even file it lol off, or if the color shows up opaque it's super thick and bulky. 😭
You use alot sometimes but you shave it down to smooth it out..if that make sence

You can do it !!! I used to hate doing them then after my 3rd client it came easy
Now how would you go about doing the fill with a color change on this method?
Gel polish on top to cover it up
@@i.8885 that’s just a fill with a color on top. I mean a redesign with acrylic without having to do a new set. Usually a thin layer of clear is applied first so any color can be filed down to that base clear layer for new colors. This was applied right to tips.
@@brandihalfhill8910 I said gel polish on top because filling everything down and redoing it is too much work for nothing but you could file down to the tips like you would if they had a layer of clear underneath
To change the whole design you’ll just drill everything down and start from scratch or if you just want to fill in the nude base you’ll just drill down the topcoat and apply the nude only. I hope that helps.
