    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    Thank you so much for your videos! My recent allergy to HEMA has opened up the world of acrylics to me. It has been a frustrating adventure trying to find HEMA free products up here in Alaska. However, I finally found a monomer I can use, and your videos help me learn easily what I need to know to get back to my favorite hobby! Thank you so much again!!🎉

    Is it normal to have such a big hump at the base of the nail? Is it possible to keep grinding it down so that it looks more natural?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  3 месяца назад

      When applying your product at the cuticle area, you want to make sure the finger is angled downward so you can press the cuticle area. This will keep it nice and thin at the cuticle but thicker toward the stress area. Make sure to watch the section in this video around 7:45 and this will show you the proper finger and brush position. If you do get the cuticle area too thick, you can file it down, but the more filing you do, the more this can lead to lifting.

    Hey Greg is that a 240 grit or 180 Grit that you are using on the natural nail?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      It’s a 150 grit sanding band with light pressure at 3,000-5,000 rpms.

  • @gloriarojas4390
    @gloriarojas4390 Год назад

    what are the differences in sanding bits ? for example the bit you used to remove the shine from the nail what is the difference from those kinds of sanding bits ?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  Год назад

      Sanding bands can have different grits just like hand files do. We always use a 150 grit sanding band for prep. We will attach a video where we explain the difference in grits of hand files.

    First, I love love all of your products and videos, Greg. But the fad of the film jumping is hard on my eyes. Can I say that? I know it’s a fad, but perhaps on the technical training videos (with no talking heads in it,) 😉would you guys consider keeping it steady on? Thanks for considering this and my wonky eyes. 😂 I’m here til the fads gone so no biggie. ❤

      These nail school videos are posted from when Greg goes live on TikTok or Instagram which is why it had those cuts like that.
      We have many great demos that are filmed with our camera and edited that don’t have those cuts.
