Great Video! I have recently started recording my own hunts and was looking for some tips when I came across your video. Keep the videos coming.

Intro is fantastic and you had some really awesome tips. We started our channel almost 2 years ago and knew nothing on how to film and edit. We have learned a lot over the last 2 years but our video quality still isn't good compared to yours. This is how we learn to video and edit by watching videos like yours. Thanks for the tips!! keep them coming

Great video! How to you handle battery life on the cameras, especially in the cold and do you run your GoPro on a loops? Thanks I appreciate it! Blessings!

As far as battery life, the sony's have really good battery life and I always have a couple extra on me. For the gopro, what do you mean by a loop?

@@alexcomstock4354 The GoPros have a video loop feature so they only take the last 10 or 20 minutes of video and then write over it once they get to the 10 or 20 minute mark so it eliminated a lot of footage with not much going on. So I was wondering if you ran it that way or just run it straight through for hours. Also I seem to need to replace may GoPro and camcord batteries every hour if it is cold and just wondering if that was normal? Thank much for you input! Blessings!

My last self filmed hunt I just posted people TORE me up because my hunter orange got caught up on a fence when I went to my buck. I have the a7iii too with a tamer on 17-70 lense and the 70-180 and I love them. My GoPro always would make me mad with the cold temperatures and having to change out battery in the middle of a hunt. What do you do about GoPro with cold?

Tough with the GoPro. Hard issue to get around. I’ve heard of people keeping the battery in their pocket with hand warmers until late as possible etc. But it’s tough!

@@whitetaildna Actually found something. Some people use a small battery pack that hooks up to the GoPro and have it running the whole time! I use a 128GB sd card so it lasts for 3 hours. That would be awesome for less movement. Maybe that helps you too 😂

Nice video…I have a couple questions. 1. Why did you go away from the Canon G series and switch to a mirror less? I run a Canon G50 and see the mirror less being harder to use than a dedicated camcorder. 2. Why the switch from Sitka to First Lite? Thank you in advance. Keep up the great content.

Thanks for watching! I switched from the canon to the mirrorless for higher quality video and having the ability to take photos at the same time. I also run a video production business and the canon g series wouldn’t have fit that as well. It’s definitely harder when self filming for sure though as that’s the biggest drawback. I switched from sitka to first lite at a time when first lite was really starting to develop their whitetail line and I was able to give input on new pieces etc. Now, I believe first lite is the most diverse and best whitetail gear along with I believe the specter pattern is the best in whitetail hunting. With that said you can’t go wrong with either as sitka is great too

Thanks for the reply! @@whitetaildna I run Sitka right now and don't plan on switching anytime soon as I think both First Light and Sitka are both great. How is the noise of the First Light in the really cold next to a tree? The Sitka sounds like velcro if the conditions are damp and frost builds up.

Fire content! Subbed! I'm selling my SONY AX43A to get a mirrorless! I also turkey hunt so having to use two hands to operate the camera scares me, BUT I'm really wanting the best picture quality I can get!

Good tips but some like a story , some like less talking and straight to the point
