yotricks Does the freehand pro come responsive or unresponsive? I got mine at spinworkx (Singapore). Is there a responsive version of the freehand pro as well? I may have gotten a responsive version if there is one.
+IQB4Fun Jake has his own approach to teaching 5a, so we felt we needed to relay the groundwork to setup more advanced tricks. Long story short, we will be doing more advanced stuff once we have the fundamentals covered.

When I do the triple-on release, as the first release is going around the yoyo goes up to my offhand finger. how do i stop this? it sometimes causes it to stop spinning.
+Irmaida Baerga Tessa explains just fine. If one is at the proper level to be pulling off Tessa's tricks, I think they can probably understand her explanations, especially with the provided slow-mo footage.
+Roger Wilson 456 Play No fly means don't even consider buying. Fly means it is a good yoyo. Superfly means it is an amazing yoyo at a reasonable price.
3 days owning a yoyo and I can land these somewhat consistently and repeatedly. My knuckles hurt, a lot. Whomever says you need to master 1a before putting on a counterweight is lying to you.
+Roger Wilson 456 Play That is the only way to get it to land on the right string. Either you are not moving your hand forward far enough, or you are not pointing your opposite finger down and away from the yoyo.

my yoyo keeps on trying to come back when i land the trapeze. what can i do. im using the exact same yoyo you are using
Maybe you need to add thin lubricant.
I have the exact opposite fear when the yoyo is flying forward I don't want it to hit me so I key go

Are 5a yoyos supposed to be responsive? I have a duncan freehand and it's responsive.
It is much easier to learn 5a with an unresponsive yoyo.

The Freehand comes responsive, the Freehand Pro comes unresponsive.
Im using a big piece of paper for the counterweight is it ok
BLITZ KRITZ no. a counter weight has to be 1/6 the weight of the yoyo

Most likely that will be too light for learning most tricks. I'm guessing the edges will really hurt as well.

+some real saucy, creamy, crispy, moist flakes of perfectly aged tortilla chips My guess is that means you are moving your hand a little too much.
Whenever I let go of the counter weight my finger slides down and hits the yoyo how do I stop this?
That means you are moving up your opposite hand too early, too quickly, or too abruptly.

when i do magic drop it will reject almost always but it wont land on the second string. moving my opposite hand foward dosent help any tips
