He gets too much hate for the ironic scene he had with Killua, but most others would've died doing what he did.
In my objective analysis, Knov retreated from the battlefront not because he was frightened by the enemies, but because his nen ability was so capable of terminating the King in no time by collaborating with Meleoron that Togashi had no choice but to set him aside and make him appear in the end with his head bald. So his confidence here is completely legitimate lol
nope you are wrong . according hxh there is no way to defeate the king who learned to use En. he can detect every one with his god like en. even before he know en there is no way knov's power is enough to kill the king . he probabily survive even if his body is cut in half and even if his head is detached he might survive (idk what will happend if you chop his head in many pieces)

Defeating the ants was top priority, no matter the casualties, so humans could've just deployed half dozen red rose bombs through the portals and vaporize both the king and his royal guards. The only thing really stopping that was the fact that they were still unsure at that point if the bomb is going to work, that's why Netero gave his all and had the bomb set to explode were he to lose. It is also unclear if the Hide and Seek pocked dimension can be escaped without Knov's permission, and the portal doors are impossible to detect, so with some coersion he could've taken maybe not the king, but at least one of the royal guards out of the fight permanently. Togashi is a very meticoulous writer, certainly not the type to have the characters abandon potential advantages just for the sake of story. The entire power system of Nen is so good because it never boils down to two parties explaining their powers and then punching each other until the harder puncher wins. Every Nen master knows their powers and can apply them to each situation accordingly. Knov had to be taken out of the story early or there'd be no reason for him not to make things so much easier (which he did to an extent by granting everyone an easy entry to the palace).
There would have been a big plot hole if knov didnt go crazy, his ability was an instant one shot if combined with god’s accomplice. Thats why he had to stay out of the fight. Wouldnt have been as interesting if he joined tho

Gon and Killua were not using zetsu while encountering pitou so they did not bear direct brunt of that bad aura. This is how the genius Yoshihiro Togashi create a character, to introduce them as cocky bastards and then change their behaviours completely later. In Togashi's manga you almost never get a 'boring' character, even the most minor characters are given some unique personality. If you compare this with other manga, even pretty good ones like Attack on the Titan, you'll realised how good Togashi is at this.... And the Ant Arc was supposed to be the Arc that he cared the least and put in very little effort

At this point in the show they're basically the big three. They were the 3 strongest of the extermination team and at this point of the show, you can tell they meant business. And no, Netero chose them because the original plan was to dwindle the Chimera Ants' numbers, which of course ended up failing because of Meruem's premature birth.
They should’ve sent Ging and Bisky to help fight them. That may have put the odds in their favor instead of Killua and Morel being the ones to actually stand a chance against Pouf and Youpi. Bisky could have fought Youpi with her buff form while Ging could’ve faced Pouf with his specialist Nen

I love every single story line in the Chimera Ant Arc, most especially the Extermination Team and I will surely miss you Chairman Netero.. hopefully, there will be more Arc coming in the future

This actually justifies Morel´s power to be really high, because being a sea hunter in the world of HxH likely equates to having to deal with Aquatic threats from the Dark Continent on a seasonal basis. Knov on the otherhand performs way poorly in the arc because unlike Morel and Netero he doesnt have experience dealing with larger threats from Dark Continent he was just brought along because his ability was useful thats all.
Nah. He knew they were trying make light of the moment. And what Morel says was extremely wise and he Killua acknowledges that through his reaction and what he says about Gon. In a nen fight, it is not necessarily the one with most Aura that wins--nen abilities are too complex to be compared in a single aura contest. Take Knov's ability. If you really think about that ability. They literally could've easily trapped the King in a dimension or in combination with Knuckles ability. His ability was pretty broken to be honest. Largely why Netero brought him in the first place. Best used in combination with others not so much for head-to-head fighting.
The amazing part is when a character arrives in a badass way, he/she is ready to humiliate the opponent. Here killua just tell them they could barely escape with their lifes💀

This is likely because Knov had never faced Dark continent threats, Morel as a Sea hunter probably dealt with some aquatic beasts from the DC from time to time and respects the threat level, Netero went to DC so thats that, but Knov clearly didnt so he made a clown out of himself.

Knov likely never dealt with a DC threat ever this was his first time. Morel being a sea hunter was likely more seasoned in handling Aquatic monsters from DC so he could walk the talk.

Everybody's mocking Knov and Morel xD But you guys should keep in mind that those two aren't combat-specialists in the first place. Morel, for eg, is a sea hunter.
This actually justifies Morel´s power to be really high, because being a sea hunter in the world of HxH likely equates to having to deal with Aquatic threats from the Dark Continent on a seasonal basis.
Knov on the otherhand performs way poorly in the arc because unlike Morel and Netero he doesnt have experience dealing with larger threats from Dark Continent he was just brought along because his ability was useful thats all.

Nah. He knew they were trying make light of the moment. And what Morel says was extremely wise and he Killua acknowledges that through his reaction and what he says about Gon. In a nen fight, it is not necessarily the one with most Aura that wins--nen abilities are too complex to be compared in a single aura contest.
Take Knov's ability. If you really think about that ability. They literally could've easily trapped the King in a dimension or in combination with Knuckles ability. His ability was pretty broken to be honest. Largely why Netero brought him in the first place. Best used in combination with others not so much for head-to-head fighting.
I honestly believe Killua found the talk a opportunity to learn on how to expand and improve his nen ability.
