This may be a silly question; but do you take your pack with you everywhere, even after you've checked in to a tea-house for the day/night. No aspersions on the people or the accommodations, I'm just curious if its safe to leave your personal items in your room. And I'll have that same question for solo-ing at Base Camp; can you leave some stuff as you ascend and return, or is it safer to just take it all with you everywhere?
