It pains me to agree with you…my coworker just bought their cordless wet/dry vac and I got to use it for 5-6 hours and was blown away. Not even talking about power, the quality of components and usability was unlike anything I’ve seen.
I am in deep in M18 and had to pickup the Flex 5" bandsaw about a year ago on that buy batt kit (2 5ah batts and charger) for $250 with free tool. Then I grabbed the Flex 7 1/4 saw free with 6ah stacked batt a few weeks ago. I hate having 2 batt systems, but now I'm in 2 different batt systems (M18 and Flex). So I may just try to stick with Flex when I buy new tools if they keep doing these deals and phase out of M18 over next few years
Just got the Miter saw. Vince - I love it. Smooth as silk and a lot of nice features. It's a beast and YES, I did get the adapter and use it pretty exclusively but this thing runs great on battery. So far so great. I haven't yet to buy a Flex tool I'm not happy with. As a furniture guy, the blower (getting rid of dust) and the sander and the router are the most used - well, of course the miter saw.
The best flex tool I got because of you so far has been the flex deepcut bandsaw which came with the 6ah stacked lithium kit for $250 in OPT last christmas. I slapped it onto a Hercules bandsaw stand and she has been a real trooper in the jobsite. It has been quite the attention grabber also when people see it in action 😅
@@VCGConstruction Vince, apologies for the delayed reply and thank you so very much for reminding me personally and all of us jointly about the blessings of the modular architecture of the FLEX LED POWER LIGHT TOWER system. Needless to say it is awesome. I personally am using it almost daily. However, I find myself rather often hooking up my BOSCH laser level to the tower and using the light module separately. It is so handy to have a powerful small light with three wings to direct light or shadow when working in small, confined spaces under the cabinets in the kitchen or in laundry rooms or closets or even croll spaces. That was the reason for me asking if the power unit would work with the light. In any case I personally and all jointly highly appreciate your informative and entertaining episodes. With only best wishes, blessed be the barrel grip.
dewalts corded adapter worked with all there tools of that voltage. the best dewalt cordless tools i every owned was the 36 volt worked all day on charge was wonderful don't know what happened
@vcgconstruction is the flex adaptor works with an i vac vacuum switch? I heard that the metabo hpt ac dc adaptor makes the vacuum run all the time .Is it also true with the flex?
VCG construction that's what I'm taking about flex Intemenaitor is the best of the best when I use my drill in turbo mode the alarm of tornado warning comes on take that all haters
Nice, now I will be watching for the 24v Kobalt to release a cordless table saw. I already have the Kobalt 7 1/4 in 24v miter saw. Would love to add a cordless table saw to my gear.
One more example of why FLEX is one of the best to ever do it.. giving exactly what the customer is asking for. A tripod light that can either use batteries OR be plugged into a wall.. and now that adapter that can be used if you don't want to waste batteries on a stationnary tool.. amazing. Does it need improvements? Maybe, but the fact that they are actually giving that option says a LOT about this company. Not as money hungry as other companies and at least really trying to be the best.
Hey Vince, does the adapter work on the flex jigsaw? (P.S my name is not Vanasa it is Cody this is my mom's tablet. To answer your question I love Flex.
What is it about high speed rotary style tools and batteries? My batteries always run out fastest when I’m using high rpm rotary tools, no matter the brand
I'd invest in the Flex system in a heartbeat if their adapter was made to work with the rest of their tools, because a battery angle grinder or saw that l could swap over to corded when I'm doing enough cutting to need it would be invaluable. If this thing can only be counted on to run their stationary saws, then it's basically a $200 paperweight to me. I hope they come out with a more universal version in the future
@@VCGConstruction oh ya! I suppose they do! I was just thinking about switching platforms and I like Flex and I didn’t want to have to go get a third just for lawn stuff
Obviously they could make one to work with the rest. If they do I'd only buy flex tools from now on. Especially with stuff going on with China you never know how scarce or expensive batteries could be in the future and having a fall back for all my tools would be amazing.
Good morning I'm a big fan of flex tools and watching the videos. But now I have a big problem with flex tools all the tools are great tools they're a little bit heavy I feel they should make some lighter batteries or smaller batteries here's my problem every week now that I go to Lowe's where I live and Boca Raton Florida The tools are on clearance I was there yesterday and they had a drywall collating drill that's the one that puts the screws in and has a they come out of a box. Normally it's $159 about it a few weeks ago on clearance for $79 and bought two of them. That tool if it were DeWalt sells for about $200 now I want to Lowe's yesterday it was on clearance for $39. The week before I had previously bought a seven and a quarter inch rear handle drill with a 10 amp battery for 399. Then I saw two weeks ago on clearance for 159. With the 10 amp battery that's worth $300 alone I bought two of them and sold the saw for what I paid for it and kept the 10 amp batteries I also bought it's like a zip tool for drywall cutting normally $99 I bought it on sale for $34 yesterday when I was there it was on clearance for $24 I don't know what's happening with their tools and Lowe's but at this point it does not make me feel comfortable that the company staying in business if Lowe's is dumping the tools for such a low price. I register every one of my tools batteries and everything and all that's been really good My biggest problem with the tools are they're really heavy. When I use stuffing to do remodelings and work in the kitchens I like Milwaukee 12 volt tools and I put a 4 amp battery on them typically aftermarket. Also I bought the vacuum I leave it in the back of my Mercedes van to vacuum the dirt and instead of putting a 2.5 amp battery on it which it works good with that I put it 10 amp and the thing is like turbocharged just screams away. But when I bought that for $129 they gave me a as bonus a 3.5 amp stack battery that battery alone sells for $179 so basically they're giving you something for free for you just to buy their tool and get started. They need to come up with more tools that are smaller instead of being so big I'm not building a house I'm renovating a house putting in kitchen cabinets putting in kitchen screws putting drywall in such as that. So go to your Lowe's store I think it's every Thursday night they change the prices and changed up on clearance I'm looking to buy the radio when it goes on clearance and also the tripod lights 249 I'm waiting for that to go on clearance A lot of these things I like to buy too because that's just the way I am my wife likes to go to Ross or TJ Maxx and buy a lot of stuff so this is what I like to do and I use it in my business and it makes me more money. Does anybody else do the clearance stuff like I've been doing and do you all feel the same way that the stuff is such on such clearance prices it's like 60 to 70% off it doesn't make me feeling good that the company staying in business or that low Lowe's is going to keep their line. Sorry for the typos I'm doing voice to text
Thanks I'm still getting it,also my 2 drawer ridgid box arrives they have all of them in stock now for order or pick up mine was shipped from Tampa to Orlando so not far
Interesting that the adapter works fine with the table saw but malfunctions with the circular saw. I would have thought it would be the other way around 🤔 I hope Flex doesn't try to say you voided your lifetime founder's warranty because of running the adapter in those tools 🫣
Their tools are being marked down incredibly at Lowe's like I said a circular saw that's 399 the kit includes a 10 amp battery and a 280 watt charger they marked for 159 do the math on that one That's more than 50% off it doesn't make me feel comfortable buying these tools in every week they're dumping these things on clearance I bought the collated drywall drill it was 159 I bought it for $79 now it's $39 I'm just getting the idea they're dumping their stock and they're going to dump the tool line regardless of their great tools doesn't make me feel good going in the store I keep buying them but I'm buying them now cuz they think they're going to go out of business. Also their tools are really heavy they need to come up with a smaller battery that's lighter doesn't have to have that many amps Right now on the residential stuff I do I use the Milwaukee 12 volt battery on the 12M tool with a four amp battery and it's half the weight flex needs to make lighter stuff and figure out better marketing
@@VCGConstruction that's realized that's an on-off switch so trying to bypass the electric brake by not letting off all the way might not work on that saw

I think metabo has a similar feature.
It took longer for saw to brake on the rear handle
They gotta work on lightening the tools some. My only complaint is the weight
dewalt had that 10 or more years ago think it was 24 or 28 volt can't remember
