THE TRUTH ABOUT WHERE PET MONKEYS COME FROM!! Bali MONKEY RESCUE , Corey Wild, NEVER buy a MONKEY! MOTHER Monkeys are KILLED and their babies are taken to the markets!
If you would like more info or want to help an Orphan Rescue monkeys please visit : www.balimonkey...
Rehabilitation of primates is unfortunately complicated depending on what conditions they are rescued from , it can sometimes take years and they sometimes need to be pared with a friend, they cant be simply released to fend for themselves, complex social structures in wild primate groups can also lead to them being banished or killed by other primates. Rehabilitation takes time with calculated release options and unfortunately some individuals will not survive the wild, also while in captivity they will destroy anything in their cages which is not steel ,, please google this before jumping to conclusions, obviously nobody wants to see Animals in cages , and these monkeys are not from the wild this is their rehabilitation journey and the aim is to send as many back to the wild as possible, this video was intended to educate the public not to purchase pet baby monkeys and create AWARENESS to share 🙏🏼🐵🐒🐒

It will be a long, long time before they can go back in the forest again. After being caged in a smaller cage, hunched over with having possible spinal problems, they may not be able to climb high trees to get away from predators or other alpha male monkeys that perceive them as a threat. they may have to live the rest of their lives in a sanctuary that provides a very large enclosure

Do you know what the most important thing is to a macaque? Food, macaque family and companionship of other unrelated macaques. Killing the mother to get an infant is a horrific way to get a pet.
If you want a pet, get a cat! They are easy to take care of and are 100% love for a human as long as you feed them properly and treat them right. They take care of their potty needs by themselves - you just provide a clean place for them to do it, and keep it clean for them. It's easy and there are so many cats that need a home!
Monkeys belong in a forest, not a human home.
And monkeys are expensive to care for and become difficult as soon as they reach puberty. They are destructive, smell bad and are very smart.
They also can spread a herpes variant which is not a problem for macaques but is a deadly horrible disease for a human to contract.
Monkeys as pets are a bad bad idea.
They are cute, you might think they need you, especially an infant you think you can "train", but you are wrong.
    They need freedom.
And they become dangefreedom./or very depressed when kept from freedom and other macaques.
Do ALL the monkeys a favor and adopt a cat or a goldfish!

she is absolutely correct though, monkeys are not good pets. they kill the mothers to obtain a baby and every time a baby is sold it has to be replaced and that entails killing another mother, sometimes while troops are killed because they defend their young. they are also endangered now because of it.

I see a lot of comments about teaching the poachers and villagers how terrible it is to capture these monkeys, well that is all good but they most likely would not be doing this if they had a better way to earn money to feed their families. Until the people are brought out of poverty and taught a better way and given real jobs, the monkey trade will continue. If I had to make a choice between trapping and selling monkeys, or feeding my family, the monkeys are going to lose. The monkeys are a scourge in some areas, and are killed in farmers fields because of how destructive they are. Right now there is no good answer to a lot of these questions. Things have to start changing from the top down. It would be more humane to kill them than to make them live in cages.

Money is needed to make a proper sanctuary like monkey world in Dorset, UK. It is expensive to make the proper habitat, and the monkey trade will continue as long as people buy them as pets. They are not pets and the videos of people with them as pets in Eastern Asia- most of those "pets" are throw aways. There are only a few legit monkey owner channels. The rest are suspect. Once a monkey is caught and interfered with by humans, they cannot go back to the wild to survive. If they have been rescued, they are better off where they are here in this video, where they have love and proper care. By not buying pet monkeys or watching OR commenting at the bad monkey channels we can help keep monkeys wild IN the jungles and forests where they can survive the way they are meant to. This comment will also be repeated here as a separate comment. Educating people is the only way to mitigate this terrible practice of selling infant pet monkeys for sick human entertainment.

Umm the showing teeth like they are smiling and lip smacking plus the cages that are really not that big at all its hard to think " yeah this is great how your caring for them. " she keeps saying they all came from a very small place like now they have a huge cage. The first cage I saw the same one but it had one more level in a medical testing lab on monkeys video. It was like showing how well cared for and that they were meeting the standards and so on. But that one was bigger than the ones I've seen so far. I'm not saying it's not better that they aren't being abused anymore I'm just saying I guess and this is my opinion of course but if I were the people that were the ones that made the rules for having a rescue one of the first would be if it's intended to keep them longer than 8 to 12 months their cages must all be equipped with large stuffed soft pillar or some kind like tall and round for the smaller ones or whoever to be able to cling when they wanted huge water bottles that automatically refill things to climb and swing on but they must be at least 3 levels one of them being enclosed so if they want privacy or more of a sheltered place they could and has to be minimum 20 feet by 20 feet. That's still not big enough for them to get the kind of exercise they normally get but that would be the smallest I would allow and only 1 to 2 monkeys in each. It's great they are getting fed well not on chains or in way smaller cages again my opinion and I'm aware that money for rescues or to start one is scarce my friend is opening her own here in my town soon and it's crazy for her but worth it also it just sucks that giving them their freedom doesn't come with a space they can't easily get bored in and really swing around jump and climb in. I realize that no cage is the solution but coming from misery their whole lives I wouldn't want to put them in another cage where they just think it's bigger but I'm bored now. And I would also make it a rule that there is some sort of out door play ground type thing and they all at one point in the day are able to be outside on it. Getting to go out of a cage after always being in one would give them something to look forward to and have the feeling of freedom from chains and cages which for some might give them the will to keep living. But it's great these guys are no longer entertainment anymore

Lip smacking is a social behavior that usually results in friendly interactions between monkeys in a social group. Often, a monkey will lip smack to a more dominant monkey as a sign of submission. You might also see monkeys lip smacking to one another after having a disagreement as a way of apologizing and making sure all is forgiven. It can also be a sign of affection or contentment. Many of the macaques will lip smack to the caregivers when passing out food or coming to check on them throughout the day.

its easy to tell this woman doesnt understand monkeys at all, he asked " is he giving you kisses?" when he lip smacked. that aint kisses. Thats showing "im not a threat, iknow you are higher rank then me" lipsmacking. And she seriously said the monkey was giving love? macaques are also, sadly one of the most aggressiv type of monkeys. Its a very nice thing they are doing of course. I have worked with monkeys and specielly macaques for over 30 years. Sadly few people understand them. They are animals. But its wonderful they are trying to help them! They are over feeding them tho but anyway.
They are doing a very nice thing but i can tell they are not experts when it comes to macaques.

(Franklin) wasnt giving kisses, lip smacking is him asking for food. The monkey back behind him was pacing his butt off. Both monkeys she touched grimmaced, and she over played the I give a shit caring. This lady is so full of it, she stumbled through every answer. I sure market things where bought, but not for the monkeys. Granny Smith apples are quite tart so I find it hard to believe the green apples are for the monkeys. They probably get a couple bananas and a shut the crap up. That's probably why she only had bananas in her hand when he first showed up..!! Also I think he's probably her old man...!!!

Lip smacking is not asking for food. It is a friendly gesture. Let's be friends, I like your company can I groom you, and can also be a submissive gesture, please don't hurt me I want to be friends.
If they are really afraid of her they would only fear grimace and back away.
That's a pretty bold accusation. You should have facts before talking like that about someone.
