    I'm WAY behind on playing this game, I started last week. For a game that's been out so long, it's surprisingly difficult to find comprehensive information, especially on Legends with all the latest updates (other guides seem to be a bit behind the latest versions and expansions). So what a joy and pleasure it was to find your video. Thanks for taking the time to really do a deep dive on this. I played a game and Alt+Tab'd back and forth, and made it much further than I ever have and really enjoyed that game. Cheers.

      Not a problem at all :) I'm glad you're enjoying it all and that I was able to help. The base game info is pretty easy to find as most of it is well explained on the wiki, but yeah, Legends info is pretty scarce.

      First build that really made 'get' the beauty of the game. Half of it is just the world, the difficulty etc. but there is a half that I think so many casuals (like me) don't get access to. Which is the beauty of managing your company, not just to survive, but to thrive. Fencer with famed fencing swod was the bomb. Still got that save :) !

    As a new player these build guides helped me so much! Thank you! Could you make a guide on "support builds", e.g. I'm doing the Noble origin and there is clearly some kind of support build intended with the Servant character, but I have no idea what it is?

      Happy to hear the build vids are helping, as it's tough to start out with all the complexity of the mod.
      Support characters can be a fun accessory or pilar of power for a team and making build vids for them could be good too :)

      @@TheIndomitableSnowmanAlthough this video is 2 yrs ago and I still find it very useful. Curious to ask as some has changed in the legends, is fatigue not recover the general 15 fixed? As I’ve heard that utilizing battle flow and rebound could make a sort of fatigues neutral build for a lot of brothers with low fatigue, such as a swordmaster. I’ve seen that you have not quite recommended rebound on your bros, is there a reason for that you would prefer recover over rebound, giving the huge numbers in fights in legends?

    Hey man great video(s). These guides really helped me out because there is an overwhelming amount of combinations when you start off legends mod. Just wondering about Balance and matching set, you don't pick that as a defensive over nimble/bf ever? Also do you have like a discord or anything where one could ask you questions?

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  3 года назад

      There are definitely too many combinations in legends (especially with dynamic perks on) :)
      Balance isn't a reliable defensive imo, it is very hard to upkeep to numbers near 40 during a fight (it always looks better on paper). Initiative is always a hard stat to work with but if you want to you can make a dodge/balance build whilst using relentless as an essential.
      I can see potential and could suggest to play around with it, but it's a lot of perks and effort for a fluctuating defence stat which only works if you never get hit in combat. Whereas nimble is outright just strong in 'practically' all situations with light armour (which is what you'd use for a balance build anyways).
      I don't have a discord sorry, maybe in the future? I will consider it (can just comment here for the moment sorry)

    Thank you for uploading this video, didn't find much, regarding builds for Legends Mod.
    I have a question regarding your 2h Sword MoB build.
    You recommend double strike, but you can only attack once per turn, with a 2h sword. Do aoe attacks also proc double strike on the second target?
    Also, wouldn't berserk make sense with this kind of build?

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  3 года назад +2

      Hey no problem, glad to help. With regards to double strike, double strike can carry over to your next turn and it also works with AOE attacks as it registers the 'next' attack you hit in an AOE as another attack (and doublestrike only works if you hit 2 consecutive attacks which will happen at high melee attack). Now your question about berserk. Berserk is a very deceptive perk, it always looks like the best option, but with low resolve builds that aim to attack once per turn, you wont have enough fatigue to swing your weapon a second time when you get those action points from a kill, so its a definite trap to grab berserk. (sorry, i probably didn't explain that enough in the video)

      Reach advantage is also a great perk on AOE 2H builds. Survivability in tough fights really helps.
      One thing that may be helpful is to also list perk groups since it's faster to identify those while scouting try outs instead of looking for every single perk.

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  3 года назад

      @@azzazel225 Ahh yes, I did forget to talk about Reach Advantage, it definitely is ok on this build, the only thing i don't like is that Reach Advantage is only useful if you can constantly hit 2+ enemies every turn (misses don't count). But with the way fights go, I can't say that this can always happen and I don't find it reliable enough. I'd rather just take Balance for the free 5% at all times. But if you love Reach advantage, definitely try it.

    Hey man, love your vids :) But i really dont get why you never focused on unarmed bros. I think they are really op. Especially brawler bros with the + 25 % dmg. In most cases they have a base high life, Ma and init and you can level em pretty well with a shield before they got the full nimble + dodge build between lvl 6 and 7.

    I know that you can't really build around a single offhand but I'm curious about your thoughts on the parrying dagger. The options it gives you in build paths is insane I always kind of keep it in mind when I'm deciding what a brother/sister does.
    I've worked with parry dagger with the "push the advantage" quirk, it's pretty good but I'm not sure if it's redundant or not. The fact that the perk works with stuns AND staggers is insane, I've moved towards building teams that just stagger the shit out of things these days.

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  3 года назад

      I think the parrying dagger is a pretty cool off-hand weapon/shield. I feel its a bit more niche because of its unique utility (parry doesn't help push the advantage). The main problems with the parrying dagger is that it only works effectively when you aren't swarmed by enemies (being super weak when not 1v1'ing an opponent). The parry aspect, reducing enemy def by 10 on a miss (needs dagger mastery for 100% chance) or the active skill, are both very nice and I feel they can be strong situationally. But I just don't think it can be used in a staple build because of how much is needed to make it work well. Overall a 2H brother will do more damage and, a duelist with no offhand is just a better 1H build in general. (and if you like the +20 defence against one opponent, a tower shield is +25 and you can shield wall) All those things said, I think it can help maybe some weaker brothers or help you get to late-game builds (especially if you are low on cash cause parry dagger is about $600-ish).
      I'm not a big fan of push the advantage but I can see it's worth when you build a team around it. Unfortunately it only gives hit-chance but no extra damage. I could see it being pretty good with a netting team to guarantee the bonus to a flail brother for great head hunting hits. (but yeah, very situational, and maybe good for brothers with weak attack skill)

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  3 года назад +3

      The short answer is yes. Long answer is: the mod is still in beta because of the new blazing deserts DLC (and needs all the previous DLC as well). It works with it quite well, but because they're still working on it, it can have some crashes every now and again. And they're still working out the kinks. If you want to play the beta, make sure you join the discord to grab the latest mod-build that they have there. (the versions on nexusmods.com are for previous DLC, and they are mostly stable)

    • @TheIndomitableSnowman
      @TheIndomitableSnowman  3 года назад

      @@spiderboy6413 Imo, fencer with MoB is a very hard build to pull off because you are wanting too many main stats to lvl up (MA, MD, Init, Res, and keeping good hp as well)
      I'd recommend focusing on recover instead of MoB.
      But if you want, I'd recommend a starting character (hero class) such as the Noble (or assassin). Or from recruiting, I'd recommend rolling well on a southern assassin background as your best bet for all those stats.

      @@spiderboy6413 Ahh I see, thanks for cleaing that up. :)
      MoB Fighter with 100 res can be made with the right stars (main priority), but backgrounds that help this are: Hero-class Noble & Crusader, Southern Assassin, Adventuring Noble, Miner, Gladiator, Retired Soldier, Squire, Militia & Manhunter (if lucky on Res)
      Fencer is harder because of stats, stars are main priority as usual but backgrounds that help are: Hero-class Assassin, Southern Assassin, (rolling lucky on Thief, Ratcatcher, or Pickpocket)
